Like many, I was initially intrigued by the Pumped Up hit, but the videos, the theme and the popularity of it distracted. I think many were simply not hearing the band. I just got the CD which has a completely different flavor of real musicians.
Nah, that was before this. He was a pretty big heroin addict before Torches, and then got into less intensive stuff up until Supermodel, which is partly what both albums are about. This would've been after Supermodel, so he'd've been clean of anything more intensive than weed for a while by then.
That's what I was saying It takes a lot of time and effort to have enough energy we don't know if they were coming from a concert tour Look at the year this was . They were going from concert toe. Concerts not much sleep or have good rest. It looks pretty hot and humid.. Anyways Enjoy 🎶 🎶😘❤️ Happy New year 🎉 🎉
this is one of those songs that is so beautiful and amazing that it simultaneously makes me feel so inspired but also sad because of how badly i wish i could express myself through music the way these guys do.
tygoo7 Before making yourself look like a fucking idiot, actually LOOK up the lyrics. "Then they can't get what they want to steal Can't get what they want to steal"
Focus on your ability Focus on your ability Now focus on your ability Focus on your ability Gain again what they want to steal Gain again what they want to steal Gonna gain again what they want to steal Gain again what they want to steal
Yeah right that is, but only if you listen to garbage pop music and the most famous rock and indie bands. There are a lot of bands like this out there that just aren't known by mainstream music fans. These guys are good, but I know bands that are at least as good as them live with a lot less fans
nopetrain Yep, mutemath, twenty øne piløts, wintergatan, sunset sons and a lot more. And what Vic says it's true, there are a lot of bands that can have a excellent live performance, but they are not popular
They sound even better live, how is this possible? The voice has this weird strength in it that just mesmerizes me - not to mention the awesome instrumental... what do you call it... sounds... I wish I had watched this video sooner. All those years I have wasted thinking that the version in the album is the best thing in the world when I could’ve enjoyed TWO great versions at the same time!
i found out this song on 2014 in october and i just kept repeating to myself that i couldn't die without dancing to it in a live concert. they came to brazil in march 2015 and i made this dream come true so fast and that's still one of the things i am most grateful for in my entire life.
I love how this guy writes. In the beginning, though, it has the rhythm of a square dance in the lyrics....I found it funny at first then I got used to the song and loved it.
Rise above, gonna start the war Oh, what’cha want, what’cha need, what’cha come here for? Well, an eye for an eye and an ‘F’ for fight They’re taking me down as the prisoners riot Got shackles on, my words are tied Fear can make you compromise (With) Lights turned up, it’s hard to hide Sometimes I wanna disappear When I feel kinda bad and don’t want to stress (Just) Pass it off on ability Well, you got what you want, what you never knew (It’s a) Perfect gift from me to you Got shackles on, my words are tied Fear can make you compromise (With) Lights turned up, it’s hard to hide Sometimes I wanna disappear Raise up to your ability (You) Never knew that I could find What comes with the realize I don’t want to compromise Raise up to your ability Can’t stand when I disappear Running around cuz I’m filled with fear I can’t go cuz my life’s a wreck Raise up to your ability I know that you want to Throw me into the sea, for my ability Raise up to your ability Yeah, don’t want to sign it I just wanna leave here But I don’t wanna run away You got to focus on your ability Focus on your ability Gotta focus on your ability Focus on your ability Then they can’t get what they want to steal Can’t get what they want to steal Then they can’t get what they want to steal Can’t get what they want to steal
it's awesome. The first time I heard Foster The People when I was in SF (US) 4 years ago. It was "Sit Next To me" and from there time I have been listening FTP every week :)
I respect so much when a band actually can perform their recordings alive and make it sound real. Always thought this man's voice should sound much worse when in concert, but he can really stand his studio performances. Awesome!
