I was asked to foster a five year old greyhound tuxedo boy on an emergency basis just a couple weeks after losing my beloved grey. I was his fourth foster home and couldn't pass him on. He was with me for eight years. It looks like Sam is feeling pretty at home and Scout seems to like him. . .
Hello friends I've never met, I don't know about your situation, but it sure looks like YOU are already the perfect family for Sam. Do I see a "Foster fail"? I hope so! He already looks so comfortable and so does Scout. ❤❤❤ I know it's hard after your loss, however I think Magnus would approve. Maybe he even sent Sam to you. Just my opinion, I hope you consider it. Our grey, Billy, was a Foster fail of ours. Have a lovely day. Have fun at the picnic. I wish I could go. Love your videos! Cathie, Washington State, USA Volunteer Greyhound pets of America- NW
Thank you for fostering Sam. And for sharing all those videos of Magnus and Scout. We all miss Magnus. He was lucky to have been part of such a loving family.
So happy that you’re fostering Sam and allowing Scout to have him as part of her loving support family. They look so happy and comfortable together. We all miss Magnus terribly, please adopt Sam ❤ 😊
Hi from John, Beth, Danielle, and our delicious beautiful brindle greyhound Violet in Brooklyn, New York. We have coined a new phrase regarding greyhounds inspecting bags brought into the house with their snouts. We call it: A GRUSTOMS INSPECTION. "Grustoms" being a combination of Greyhound & Customs. Love to Miss Scout and Mr Sam. May they continue to make you both and all those who watch your heartwarming videos smile. John Landers Brooklyn, NY
@@magnusgreyhound I do know exactly how you feel, as I grieved the passing of my Charlie dog of 12 years, but Sam seems such a lovely dog, and I am sure he has stolen your heart? Scout seems to have taken to him too. You would be the best couple to adopt him. xxx
@@magnusgreyhound I know that been following. But this guy seems to be close to perfect. Myself once he moved in, I would get too attached to ever let go.
@@magnusgreyhound I understand, as well; it is a most difficult time. That said, I do concur with the previous three posters. It is so nice to see Scout with a companion and you with two Greys on the leash. As comfortable as (Sam) has become in such a short time, it really is as though he was "sent" to you. Whatever decision you make, however, will be in both yours & the pup's best interest at this time, of that I am sure!
What a lovely chap…I love his goofy Ears…I would probably call him Goofy 😂😂but I like a Sam also it seems to fit his laid back personality 😂❤ Love his roaching in the Garden…Scout seems to like him…there will never another Dog replace Magnus…but please open your hearts for him…❤❤
I'm so happy to see you folks showing what lovely companions greyhounds can be. My local rescue, Greyhound Pets NW (Oregon USA) is taking fosters from Ireland. My hope is that interested adopters in the UK would consider giving a local home to the dogs coming out of that industry. I'm happy for Scout, too. I bet it gives her purpose to show any "new" companions the good life they can enjoy. It took me quite a lot of time naming all my dogs--but the names seemed to come naturally. One of my boys was named Magnus as well. Respect to you and much love to your adorable crew. ❤
Oh, Sam, tell them you want to stay! You are so lovely, and I think Scout is happier, too. I think they all love you, and Magnus is smiling down on you...thinking there's a good lad.
He's a gorgeous sweet boy. Beautful eyes too. ❤️ He seems very happy with you. All that roaching 😆 Think scout likes him aswell. Was so cute them sleeping together. He's probably been a comfort to her since losing magnus. As for names... How about Jock Or Innes?
What a beautiful brindle boy!! 💕💕💕 Still missing Magnus, but seeing a happy bundle of joy like Sam is such a tonic. He's clearly loving his foster home! 😃
I was JUST thinking of you guys when I hopped on here and saw your new video! So pleased you are all doing OK and are out and about enjoying Sam's company 🥰❤️
He is realy doing well..with you showing him the ropes..i did not doubt it for a second. He looks like he is quite a big boy..33..35kg? And a big roacher..lovely to see that. As to the name..Sam is a good name..id let him keep it..🙂❤️
He was very underweight when he first arrived. Probably close to 33kg right now. He is quite big, but Magnus was quite a bit bigger and around 40kg. He is doing well in the house and is doing a good job of picking up the routine.
It is extremely heart warming, but that is what happens with foster dogs. When sending them to there forever home, at first, it's hard for the dog, and the foster carer.
Handsome lad, so smart looking. 😍 What about renaming him Brinley or Brin for short as yes his colour is brindle. Ginger would be ok also as there is a reddish tinge to his coat. I’ll shut up now 😅 🤦♀️❤️🐺
I understand your feelings. We only took the pup in as he was in a bad spot and knew we could help him. It was not something we set out to do, hence why we were happy to help him find a good home. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment.
What a lovely foster home he has, so pleased ‘Sam’ is settling in so well. I would like to suggest Logan for his new name, I think it would suit him 😊 I am sure someone will fall in love with him soon and want to take him. I am going over to the website now to donate in memory of Magnus ❤
What was his given name? Sometimes they respond to part of that name. When we adopted our male PJ, his racing name was PJ Blanco Brown. So we just kept the PJ part.
These two do look good ❤️ together after the loss of your beautiful hound ,Magnus .Thank you for helping us to.learn more about these lovely hounds .We have been volunteering for 7 months now at a local.greyhound rescue ,Makants in Tyldesley, Salford ,Manchester who.are amazing ❤. Filled a huge void left by the loss of our beloved shih tzujust over 14 months ago aged nearly 14.Left a huge void 😢.Thank you all.,please keep on doing these great videos xx
Thanks for your words of support and encouragement. Was not sure if I was going to continue making the videos after Magnus had passed. I will see how it goes. Thanks for watching
He is gorgeous. Reminds me of my boy Stan who we also lost a short while ago. See the address of the greyhound centre is, off STANedykehead, so he has to be a Stan 😍👍
Your sweet Sam looks just like our foster greyhound Rocky, who has two crossed ears, sometimes like a Frida crown and sometimes like a hat with a feather 😂. We have only had him since January this year and came to us with a skin condition and a bit wary, but he was roaching by day three, he is an 8.5 year old darling and loves walking (we were told he doesn't like walking), watching our every move and being in the kitchen whenever food is being prepared. He is a big brindle softy and so happy now, we know that fostering means not forever and keep that in mind, but for now he is comfortable, happy and living his best life with us. Happy fostering 🥰
Thankyou , Glad you are recovering from your loss . He is handsome and scott is prity .lovly couple . He has a inquisitive look in his eye realy cute . So nice too see . Thankyou .
@@magnusgreyhound Hello dad and mom, We are glad to hear that Scout is bouncing back. She was attached as you guys were I’m sure. We send hope for a new companion for all three of you. Still pulling for adoption of Sam 🤞He seems like the perfect fit. ✅
