The 2023 Foton Thunder 2.0 4x2 AT has landed on Philippine shores, and it brings with it a bunch of features that is not seen in this truck price segment. In this Filipino car review, we take a good look at the 2023 Foton Thunder 2.0 4x2 AT to see how it fares against the competition. The 2023 Foton Thunder 2.0 AT has some design cues taken from the Ford Ranger Raptor, as well as the Toyota Hilux. The cabin though, is very soft and even looks like the cabin of a crossover. The 2023 Foton Thunder 4x2 AT brings workhorse truck capabilities to the world of lifestyle trucks, but without the lifestyle truck pricing. The Foton Thunder 2.0 is also the first midsize pickup truck from Foton that comes with their own engine developed inhouse.

i am buying this pick up and I had no doubt about the durability of this truck since if their big trucks are durable their is no reason for them to fail in this medium pick up. And for the parts of this pick up was made in the Philippines so its not a concerened.

They bash foton malapit na sa tagiliran nila ang brand na to and if given more time, mauungusan na sila. So what a better way to destroy a rival by bashing them. Experience it yourself by going to nearest Foton Dealership in your area and ask for a Test Drive.

The Foton Thunder is a great pick up truck for business along side it's Foton trucks and Vans but for personal use and light work? Nope, the Hilux G AT is priced at 1.379M, Navarra VE Calibre AT 1.381M, and Ford Ranger XLT AT 1.374M are proven and tested trucks.

Yes Sir I agree. Imagine in 11 seconds 1- to 100kph agad?! at the nick of time naka overtake kana. Maganda ito pa takbo sa Bukidnon (Mindanao) at highways dito malakaki. WE can really test this here. But I am not buying this for business or purely para kargahan ng mabibigat. Will use this as a personal vehicle at pang utilitarian lang kung may dapat kargahin and for long drives too.

Good idea. But reason why I am getting this is the low down payment promo and it is easier to get. The ones at ford, paying really expensive down. And maintenance is soo expensive.

@@projectgarage61 yes na visit ko na. Decline lahat ng bangko inaplayan nila para sa akin pero talagang nagtataka ako sa mas mahal na sasakyan GAC Emkoo approve sa ibang dealership. Heto GAC EMKOO na nakuha ko.

Ay wala na. Discourage na ako. Feel ko talaga maganda lang si Foton sa itsura pero sa approval process palakasan kasi yan sa mga bangko. Eh mahina si Foton, ayaw e finance ng bank yung application ko. Ang di ko maintindihan, bakit may GAC EMKOO ako now na mas mahal kaysa kay foton, pero approve ako. Tsk tsk... This is the most pathetic and idiotic response I've read. You think of those who will try this truck as cheapskate but no. Average salaried employee in the philippines will have to work for a year just to come up with 180 to 250 thousand pesos but to come up with this amount to pay for thunder say at 1M +? Not an easy task.

Dependable after sales support assembling units here you can order anything(proven). " But " most of the parts are not that cheap compared to japanese replacement parts because even the oil filter they use are commercial type oil filters for long term use

Why not give it a try by test driving a unit at a Foton Dealership nearest to where you are. I think your question can be answered when you talk to Foton and experience the ride when you drive one.

Japanese branded trucks but are not made in Japan. Sa Surplus sir meron ka dun Japan Made, ang problema is ang reliability and safety ng trucks pag surplus. Check the parts where they are from sa mga japan brand trucks. Just like the famous funny quote, "God made the world and the rest is made in China".

Depende lng yan sa gamitan ung hilux ng tito ko mga 2-3 years rin nag rarattle na ung tail gate tapos makalawang. Pati ung radiator parati nalng nirerepair kasi parating mei leak tapos matigas at maingay ung kambyo. Ung hilux namin 10 years na mahigit smooth na smooth parin.

Mga banks hesitate mag finance ng Chinese truck. Kahit Chinabank pinapataasan up to 30% ang down. unlike jap cars dali lang sa kanila. And, foton is n ot known for mid sized lifestyle/utility pick ip. yeah, the latest aucan engine is not so known. i couldn't find its specs online. And not sure who made it.

Its made by foton. Design wise, they have probably have this worked together with their partners like Cummins. If you look at its design its almost the same as the Cummins engine but more on a downsized scale. Just my personal opinion. Go to your nearest Foton Dealership and they definitely can help you with your questions. Ask for a test drive so you would know how this vehicle has received a very nice review. @@realme72only

you can remotely adjust the side mirrors. who cares if its remotely foldable. Its a truck. Its manually foldable. hehehe. perhaps if its a car baka pwede pa. @@nielsalute9069
