Abstract:
The whole sonata should be atacca, and go into each movement without interruption. They speak of the appropriate tempo for the barcarrole character. The tempo should be maintained throughout the movement. Simplicity is so great in Schubert that he turns something simple into tragic, so it is necessary to give the right balance, without changing tempos or exaggerating. They comment on the pedal change, which is not dry, and the character, which does not have to be so philosophical. The right hand should be very legato. They work the articulation as if it were an up and down bow. Between sections there must always be a minimum pause, so that the color change is noticeable. The grupetti are the most expressive moments. The teacher advises the student to think more about the psychological meaning of music to be more eloquent when expressing it.
