If ur into the why of it the tldr is basiclly the trauma rewires the brain and so normal relationships and actions feel wrong, that coupled with the fact you are hurting and traumatizing another person means youd have to admit there is “something wrong” with you leads to people validating horrible experiences rather then getting therapy and moving past it like they should.

That’s not true though. Yea it could make things better and it is beneficial to stand up for her daughter. But the point is she shouldn’t have to. She is terrified to and theres times where doing that could only make it worse. There’s so many relationships that there’s no budging someone who has too much control, otherwise they just get madder. Plus jo needs to observe all of this, it’s possible she could just be letting it happen so jo can find the best solution.

Right! And 5 kids! FIVE freaking kids. I works with troubled teens (depressed, suicidal, addict, etc.) I still can't understand why TF people have so much kids. Some family might do better if they have less. The amount of time I heard parents tell their children "I didn't want you to be born".
