FOUND! 1967 Impala SS 396 4-Speed CONVERTIBLE sitting in Wisconsin Junkyard! 

It’s crazy how people save something, saying that they’re have plans for it. Then by the time they decide to sell, it’s almost garbage. Seen it many times. However, thank you for sharing this.

Really nice find. I was in a junkyard about 15 years ago looking for parts for my 56 Chevy BelAir and they had one in the very back of the yard. And next to it was a white 1967 Impala SS 427 4 speed hardtop. The motor and transmission were gone. But the 4 speed shifter was in the driver's seat. I believe that it was last tagged in like 1980. So I figured it was a real 427 car. It also had blue interior in it. I remember that because I had never seen a white Chevy Impala with blue interior before.

It's Jake's Salvage. I called them this morning. He's 99.9% sure the frame is rotted. It's just parts period. Convertable frames are hard to find

At all cost this car needs to be saved no matter who has it.

Fender has small block cross flags. Interesting, rare car. The shifter console is worth big money.

What the value of a thing like that SS? It needs so much work. What would richard Rawlins pay for it? 2k?

My brother had the exact same impala Ss 396 car except it was white with blue interior in Alberta Canada n was stolen in the early 80s n never it seen again n still looking for it at car shows etc

Rusted out ragtop.396 engine that might be junk. 4 speed of unknown cond. The reason why its still at the junkyard is they want more than so far anyone is willing to pay.My opinion there are a lot more viable project vehicles than there are Ready Willing and able buyers for them.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!!!!!!!!
