I was just thinking "what a wonderful calming voice you have." No matter what your are doing, digging small pieces of beach glass, searching a bottle dump, metal detecting, rock hounding for picture stone, or just tending your garden! Your voice is soothing and just makes every quest with you a wonderful adventure. I enjoy this channel and all your quests! And looking at the beach sand under the microscope was wonderful. Its amazing what all the the sand looks like under magnification. It all looks like glass and beautiful rocks! You can have a whole collection of the most beautiful rocks, that all fit in one tiny collection jar! i love it. Thank you for this beautiful, scenic, relaxing quest! Fantastic! Quest On!

Wonderful. Thanks. I lived in Fort Bragg,,for 8 yrs. On my time off, I had many adventures hiking the coast/beaches/ocean, either alone or with a fiend. There is so much to explore, wish the ocean was warm enough to swim. Back the in 1992,Glass Beach was as popular. I didn't care for that area.

Bravo & thanks for another unusual video quest for deets! And bravo to your robust immune system! Others may want to be careful putting anything in their mouth from down on that beach. It was formerly the city dump! Also, you missed the good section of ft. Bragg's beach where it is mostly Seaglass, odd pottery shards & occasionally some interesting manmade artifacts. Hit the Seaglass musem also for a rundown of seaglass specimens previously collected (including the UV/radioactive ones).

yes, thank you ! , I try not to hunt glass beach anymore since they have made it a park, we used to go when it was just the path by the blackberries at a dead end street behind the lumber yards. I find them thick all the way to wages creek campground up north , trying not to disrespect the locals and teach people they can go other spots near by and glean them also, I hear the park was getting hit heavy by tourists, and figured id try not to add to it. really love the area and the folk, glad to see its treasures being recognized.

@@QuestForDetails Now THAT'S a STELLAR attitude! We also felt that way..like perhaps we should go "the road less traveled" & not contribute to ft. Braggs plundering! At least ..not so conspicuously (Lol!). I dare say tho, there seems to be no end to it. And the tides (deep-time) dredge up what (& when) they want to, regardless of our desires or time tables. Truly appreciate this video. Legend involves Mermaids 🧜‍♀️ crying whenever a sailor dies at sea. Again their tears 💧 wash ashore as sea glass. More recently there have been more modern legends that link mermaids tears to tragic events, such as beached 🐋 whales, or sudden disappearance of fish 🐟 💔 😢 It is thought that mermaids are the guardian's of the sea life and that they feel sad 😔 when anything bad happens in the sea. Stay safe out there my friend. Blessings to you and the family. 👍🏼💚🐢💚🐸💚 love the frosty cobalt blue 💙 and green's, brown's, red's and aquamarine and white frosty beauties. All are wonderful finds.

yes !! mermaid tears !! makes my heart feel good to meet others who know ! I was told the legend long ago and have hunted tears since. I hadn't heard the new parts but makes perfect sense, I weep along some times. thank you for the message !

Our waters are like a vast sea in the Upper Peninsula. Something so beautiful 😍 but can turn very deadly. Much love and thank you for having us along as we watch the quests for details. 👊🏼💚👍🏼

Nostalgic, my father lived up there as a child, before he passed he made the one last trip to ride the Skunk Train. I have made a few trips up there, one heck of a winding rode! Beautiful 😍

We have a Sea Glass Beach in WA state too. I have found small yellow, purple, red & orange. There are small pieces of pottery as well. I make necklaces with them. I always wanted to go to the Fort Bragg Beach. Thanks to you, maybe I can still find glass close by!

You can take glass from the beach now. They post signs you’ll be ticketed but they can’t enforce it. I was there last summer and read the notice inside the old lumber mill that stated it.

Just love your videos. I have the same bottle’s and essentially do the same things with. Love the special touch at the end. Even the sand beneath our feet is tiny little gemstones!!!

had to find a spot that was not directing every one right to the main beaches, but they were there , we used to call them mermaid tears , we read in an old book that the legend was they were for the drowned sailors, and the ocean turns mermaid tears to glass. the spark plugs and copper wire... not sure, lol : )

This Is Not Glass Beach . as stated : 5:34 This is not glass beach. this is north of glass beach, all of the beaches for fifty miles are full of beach glass. when I was a boy there was no park for glass beach and I have been going there for at least 35 40 years. my family has lived in California for several generations now. I understand Glass beach has been hit hard, as all of my state has. for those who feel protective of Glass beach , be aware this video was made by a long time , generational, CA local, to point out there are plenty of other spots to collect. I do not advocate stripping the one public spot known to international's now. it was sad to see the town decide to market it to the tourists, and gentrify the main strips. it was until a little while ago, a path out to the cliffs, by Blackberrys at the back of a lumber yard. almost every town in California had their dumps on the coast, and Oregon, and Washington, ask any local from any town and they will tell you. Fort Bragg decided to advertise theirs . but it is not the only one. again, much respect to the actually locals who have lived there since before, and who are actually long time Californians. there is no need to for any one who moved there in the last few decades to inform me about California or its population issues. i'm from here. I am aware. I was aware I would have to speak to some hall monitors over this, all the " get off my lawn " comments will just get removed, no one needs it . issue closed. every one have a Wonderfull day !! He didn't take any glass from those beaches. He actually went ten miles north or south from the state park area. In an area where you can hunt and not get in trouble.
