Jake I worked on ships for about 25 years. Those are fuel tanks and can have dangerous fumes in them for years. Be careful when you are around things like that.

I personally think you should invest in a gas testing monitor. You should be testing the atmospheres in these confined spaces before you're entering them and whilst you're inside. It would be a shame to see your life lost and possibly your mate trying to get you out because of your carelessness. Stay safe mate!

kid don't go in them tanks on that barge those are pressure barges that hold rafanate. And bdi and other chemicals that will kill you they also hold acid. I push the. bottle barges that's the other name for them. And the man holes in the (push boat) not tug boat and the voids were the fuel, water, or storage space is on the boat and that bottom level is were the maines are the engines for the boat only thing you will find down there is old tools. And that is a really old boat from the box shape I'd say 1940 or 50s beware that you will fall through the rusted decks

That's amazing, I close the RU-vid app on this video to go eat and I recall the amount of likes being at around 27k. Man, Never get into a confine space like that old barge unless you are sure of it's past contents. Crude oil leaves behind H2S gas which is deadly. Second O2 deficient atmosphere will kill you as fast. Just saying. I do this for a living.

I'd be very careful entering any confined space that's not been inspected by qualified personnel , entering the tanks on the barge was and is very risky , you have no way of finding out what's in there believe me I've worked in shipyards and people have died from unseen gases that don't have a smell . just trying to see you have more great days exploring and be safe doing..
