the funniest thing abt the “celebrity no. 6” lost media is that ppl or the person who are NOT in the subreddit found out who it is, and the the subreddit WAS DENYING IT LMAO
I would confidently say 2024 is one the best years for lost media especially for lost wave. i’ve also taken a huge interest in Charlie the steak and Celebrity number six recently so it was also super amazing to not only see them found, but also see you cover them! :)
Finding celebrity 6 I think puts this year on top. The search for celebrity 6 was one of those first pieces people learn about when they first get into lost media and it definitely felt a bit hopeless bc of how large and wide the search was
2024 has definitely been a year of big hitters. Ulterior Motives, The Backrooms and Celebrity No6 were like the holy trinity of lost media and they have all been found within months of each other. I think this year will be hard to beat.
Hope this year ends off with something huge like the Jeff the killer image or the most mysterious song in the internet. Would be an awesome way to end this year.
As a non-American, I find the idea that it was once pretty commonplace to go to a restaurant with dancing, singing robot animal things really interesting and strange.
Im really happy that Celebrity Number 6 & Charlie the Steak are found! I've been wanting both of them to be found ever since i first discovered them on RU-vid & TikTok!!
7:24 That actually happened The same person would couple days later dump every single version of the original Charlie the steak for iPhone and upload it on archive Those ipa dumps require iOS 5 6 and 7 while the re release would require way higher iOS version
I searched up Charlie The Steak on the App Store, but there were just nothing but fake Charlie The Steak games. It kinda looks like it got removed from the App Store.
This year is the only time when significant progress was made on Odd Job Jack, for the longest time seasons 3 and 4 weren’t found in English, but they were found in June, all that remains is season 1 but we’ve been slowly finding small pieces of it that I hope will eventually accumulate into the full season.
The original photo of Celeb 6 could have just been scanned from the physical magazine by the graphic artist who made the pop art illustrations. It's not like we can tell from the pop art illustrations whether the reference image was a digital one or a magazine scan. That would explain why the image wasn't around on the internet.
"This year will beat 2022 for the best year of lost media" I mean, It's not that 2022 has been the best year for lost media. ever since that year, we've been living in a lost media golden age.
I'm so happy celebrity number 6 was found, i remember seeing the initial reddit post before it was officially lost media and thought it'd be a quick find but i was wrong
As someone who is rlly into animatronics I was freaking out so much when the Concept Unification prototype was found. Like we didn't even know it ever preformed
NOTE: Uncle Walt was close... and I mean REALLY close into being found. But, for some reason, Thunderbean chose to not release it on their Blu Ray set, Public Domain Mouse Adventures. And now I'm curious about what Uncle Walt truly contained.
1:11: SpongeBob Jeopardy segment 4:28: Charlie the Steak 7:40: Chuck E. Cheese concept unification footage 12:06: Plush prototype set sheets for Super Mario plushes 16:34: Celebrity Number 6 identification.
@@ferretonahelmet Well, I'm sure you've heard of the exclusive clips from Total Drama. While most are available online, a handful of them are lost. One of these was from Pahkitew Island. It showed in some office room preparing to go through auditions to pick the new contestants. However, all but 14 auditions are destroyed, which ended up being the contestants in the final season. It was originally only available in Italian. But someone was able to find the English audio and put it with the Italian version that aired on K12 (I think that's what it's called).
Yeah, seeing all the total drama lost media become found has been super cool, especially because I love the show lol. And funny enough I'm in a discord server dedicated to finding it. I hope with time more stuff will come out because man there a ton of lost media for the show. But that's what people are here for, to help find it lol.
There was also the lost English dub of the Japanese/Indian co-produced anime movie "Prince of Light"/"Ramayana".... that immediately got taken down by copyright notice. I only got to see like 10 minutes of it before it disappeared again. Sigh. If there was only somewhere you could ARCHIVE something on the INTERNET to back it up.
I still wish someone could find a lost Mark Hamill Joker bit. It was a Kids WB bumper for a Batman-Pokémon block, where the Joker spits a poem called "Eradicate Raticate" "Errrradicate Rrrraticate.. POKÉMON. Fry me that Rat as fast as you can!" And a few more bars. This has been bothering me for decades. Lol.
I actually own the Star Fox plush set from that publication! They're not in perfect condition and were very pricey but I love them dearly. Super cool to see them show up here!
Whoa..I never knew about the concept unification stage! I knew about the other stage that involved the rockafire explosion stage that had the spinning stage, but this was interesting to learn about
I've been waiting for all my lost media creators to talk about Celebrity No 6. The fact that you're the first after several days (has anyone checked on Jorge???) + it's not its own video and is just casually in the thumbnail + RU-vid not putting this on my homepage so I had to find it through my subscriptions tab is such an insane sequence of events to follow a surreal event I honestly thought might never happen
Well I hope that I will finally get help finding all of the lost media that I'm looking for. I'm looking for art that got deleted off of Deviantart, Furaffinity, Twitter, Pixiv, and Tumblr, as well as mashups and remixes of songs that were on RU-vid, and also Epic Meal Time's Meatballer episode and all of Brandon Rogers' deleted videos.
What a crazy coincidence that Celebrity Number 6 was the cover image for a magazine called Woman Number 162. Very similar names. The universe just has fun coincidences like that sometimes I guess lol.
My personal theory for how the artist found the picture that would become Celeb 6 is either they lived somewhere the magazine was sold (either in english or in another language) or was handed it along with some other photos / magazines. I personally used to think that they were someone the artist knew or that they weren't known like US / UK celebs were and I guess that was right??
2024 is definitely the best year for found lost media. We found some of the biggest high profile lost media this year, like Ulterior Motives, Backrooms original photo, Minecraft Herobrine first stream appearance, and now Celebrity Number 6. I hope by the end of the year that we'll finally find the band the sang the most mysterious song in the internet.
So basically Celebrity 6 was found because the image was colourised and put into a search engine that identified who it was. I have to wonder why it took so long to find.
thank God! and thank you! for using a light theme on your screen shoots ! . for the condition of my eyes it's awesome to see light theme screenshots ! . thank you so much . I enjoyed your videos a lot.
The fact that the user who submitted the celebrity 6 article to LMW and managed to con time away from other projects is still shocking. I remember when it was submitted and being shocked that it wasn't deleted (especially since senua seems to be super trigger happy about deleting stuff). It's not even lost media for crying out loud, it's some random thing that so few people would have cared about, but they managed to get the whole community obsessed over this and then jorge being a sucker for these things blew it up. This time could have been used for more constructive searches and instead we just gave precedent to these dumb little things, that aren't even lost media. Victory for some, I see it as giant failure.
