Such a thourough review! Was thinking of picking this up and was researching the shades they don't stock this in the UK. You're review was thoughrough and went through everything I look for in a foundation! Wasn't fake and covered things better than the 'top' beauty bloggers. From one makeup geek to another well done!

Milani has recently come out with 2 new shades that are both lighter than the 00-Light Natural. They are: 00A-Porcelain which is the lightest shade and accommodates very fair or pinkish undertone complexions. And 00B-Light which is similar to the 00-Light Natural but a shade lighter. I emailed them to find out when or if these new shades will be available in stores. They stated that they will be available in September in Walmart stores. Of course they can also be purchased from the Milani website but I like to see the shades up close before buying.

I will be very happy to check them out!! I just swatched 00 again the other day in filming another foundation review, and just shook my head at how dark it is. I'd also love to see a cool undertone! Fingers crossed! Thanks for the heads-up!

I love that you remind people about sunscreen. It's important to LAYER SUNSCREEN and have a product to REAPPLY EVERY FEW HOURS. I like mineral products for that, something not drying...

I always.though Milani was geared towards medium/deeper complexions. I got the shade Vanilla, I have a very yellow undertone and it was too yellow even for me, like straight yellow. On my oily skin, it was very heavy feeling and I got greasy in two hours. I hated it and couldn't wait to take it off.

Very informative video! I've been wanting to try this foundation, but I knew it would be too dark since I am very fair. I immediately ordered it when I saw that they had a new, lighter shade. So far I am liking it a lot. It is perhaps 0,5 shade too dark but after I've brightened it up with some powder and added blush it works pretty well. I am fair, with yellow undertones, auburn hair and hazel eyes. However, for thise who are cool toned or even neutral I do not think that it would fit and I wouldn't recommend buying it at all. I agree with you: they need some more shades (lighter and darker) with neutral and cool undertones. But it is a very nice foundation for people with warm undertones, good price too :)

I have only gotten to the cat vs sponges part so far lol but I keep my sponges in a jar w a lid like a candy dish type thing. It's got the word milk in it. I can't think of the name but it's really pretty and it's white. I have two dogs so they will get hairy or chewed up if they somehow fall off my counter which they have before. Plus the pretty jars add that something extra to my vanity and they were my grandmas to:)! Can't wait to see the rest of the video!

I need to do that, Vicki! Find a cute box to keep the sponges in. I did buy those little soft boiled egg holders to hold them while they dry after washing. Amazon says they were delivered but I can't find them in the mail room... meh. But a cute box to keep the dry ones is a great idea! Thanks!

Disappointed with the color; I am very light too with pink undertones. Really appreciate these videos since it lets us know what the products are like on skin. If you can mix it with another color to adjust the color, please let us know. Thanks.

I will definitely keep you posted! I'm working on a video right now of just updates to various things I've tried since filming prior videos... updates on favorites that aren't favorites anymore, foundations that I've found ways to make work (or not), etc.

Milani has a 00a that is very light and has pink undertones. Highly recommend the foundation!

I too am very fair with warm undertones (NC15-20) and bought the 01 shade (lightest shade available at the time). I have to use my white mixer to lighten it up. Otherwise, it is so orange, not sure who can really wear shades like this. I like the foundation but you are right, needs more shades on both ends of the spectrum.

I'm actually VERY happy that you have a swatch of the LA Girl Pro Concealer in Porcelain, since I own that product. I'm quite pale myself, but it is a bit light for me. I use L'Oréal True Match foundation in W2, for reference. I wonder if this foundation would match me. It does seem like it would be a bit heavy for my liking, however.

I bet True Match W2 and this are on par. I've got the Neutral 1-2 in the True Match Lumi version and it's just a smidge lighter than the Milani.

I'm actually fair skin with yellow undertones, i think this would be perfect for me :0 I think milani should make a new one with pink undertones for paler girls and also cooler tones for the darker skin girls (because I don't see any on the site for that spectrum). It seems like this is meant for warmer toned people. Like their first shade (before this one) was a little too dark but the shade after that one (02) seemed to fit me a bit more. I dunno, their shade range is a bit weird and out of order maybe?

I was wondering if their shade range was out of order or if it was just my eyes! Well at least if it's our eyes, it's both of us! :) With yellow undertones this should totally work for you, especially if their previous lightest shade was only a little too dark on you.

Definitely! I remember my friend tried out one of the darker tones (she has deeper skin than me) and it also oxidized weirdly (like from yellow toned to pink, which was super weird). Also love your channel, girl

I've been wanting to try this for so long. I always hear it's a good foundation but that their shades do not cater very well to us fair gals. I think I'm going to pick up this shade and add my nyx foundation mixer.

Love your new hairstyle and color to!~ Maria. I just can't do the Milani, the feel, color and wear. I liked the initial look. I don't normally use a primer, but may have tried with this one. After three/four hours looked awful on my normal skin. I do touch my face probably more than others. Colorwise, I tried 01 and 03, I think. Both had same depth, but one was yellow undertone, which I'm predominately, and the other cooler, both too dark.

Thanks, Maria! I'm very surprised at how dark this line runs, considering that it's really pretty skewed to the light side of the overall spectrum. Maybe it has something to do with skin tones in Italy? I don't know, but this won't be in regular rotation for me.

I really hoped that since they knew they were expanding the line to a new LIGHTEST shade, it would actually be light. No such luck. I'd say it's not even fair; it's definitely in the light to beige range on the spectrum. Such a bummer.

Thanks Nermin! Between Milani and L'Oreal I would pick L'Oreal. I really like their Infallible line. I wear both the Total Cover and the Pro Glow foundations. I have the Pro Matte too, but it's a little too dry for my skin. The Milani foundation runs a little too dark and orange for my skin tone, and I had a lot of trouble with it feeling sticky all day and not setting very well. hey... can u pleease make a video about all the new lighter shades? i know these arent all new but its the new ones mixed in with the old ones but heres the top 10 lighter shades: just so you know.. they now have : 00AA ivory (fair w pink) 00A porcelain (fair w neutral pink) 00BB nude (light w neutral) 00B light (fair w yellow) 00 light natural (light w peach) 01A creamy nude (light w warm neutral) 01 creamy vanilla (light w warm yellow) 02A creamy natural (light w yellow) 02 Natural (light w warm yellow) 03 light beige (light medium w neutral) 04 medium beige (light medium w pink) that would b awesome because im pale and dry like you are and i cant find one video about alll the lighter new shades..

@@goow yes! thank you so much! hey, i did not want to tell many people this but. . the nars radiant longwear . they have oslo and mont blanc, and theres so many videos about those shades. but i cant find one video on the nars radiant in siberia. they have siberia in the sheer glow and their other foundations but the siberia shade for their radiant longwear is only online. and theres not one video out about that specific shade. .. just an idea!

Thanks, Sophie! I haven't done a roundup of my foundation reviews but it's about time I did! I am pre-filming for a trip I'm taking so I will make a top 5 - it'll go up likely the 3rd week of July (probably the 17th). Great idea! But for a spoiler alert my go-to drugstore foundations are Rimmel Lasting Finish in 090 light ivory or Missha BB cream (lightest shade), and for high end I have a few favorites.... Estee Lauder Double Wear (1C1 Cool Bone) and Philosophy Hope in a Jar (shade 3) are high on the list!

Got crazy last summer and got them chopped. Bad idea! I love experimenting with different colors and hairstyles. Pinterest gives me too many ideas! Lol

I've got dry skin too badly probably dehydrated skin actually but I'm working on that, less Pepsi more water! I just bought the tarte oil, I've heard people can mix in a drop or two in their foundation if it's a bit too drying. Wonder if that would work? Have you tried that stuff yet? It's helped my skin a lot and I've had it for two weeks now. I put it on after I exfoliate and before I put serum on. I've been using the IT CC cream and it's not full coverage like people say, at least not for me anyhow without it looking awful. So I've been wondering about this milani foundation. Maybe I'll go grab it today plus that other one you put as your top foundation. :)

I'm definitely dehydrated too, Vicki! I haven't had a diet coke in 25 days and I've replaced it with water and tea, but I can't seem to keep up with the dry winter air. (And oohhhhhh how I miss my diet coke! I don't know if I can kick it for good). I just picked up a beauty oil but haven't yet tried mixing it with my foundation. I need to before spring rolls around and it's "too late" on my skin! Ha never too late with dry skin...

Can you tell me what other drugstore foundation shades (Preferably, maybelline fit me, L'Oréal true match, revlon colorstay, Rommel lasting finish, covergirl outlast 3 in 1 if you have used any of those😊) match you so I can get an idea if this would work for me?

I can go neutral or cool with foundations (though I prefer cool). For my winter shades (what I look like in this video), I wear Maybelline Fit Me Dewy & Smooth in 115 Ivory (there's one shade lighter, Porcelain, that is too yellow for me), L'Oreal True Match Lumi in N1-2 (same deal - the one shade lighter is warm toned... not for me), Revlon ColorStay Normal/Dry in 110 Ivory, and Rimmel Lasting Finish in 091 Light Ivory (probably the best color match for me of these). I haven't picked up Outlast yet, but it's on my list!

I'm a bit puzzled by this review and the comments discussing shades, especially as you seem to call out the brand for not offering enough shades for darker tones. Are you aware that it is the lighter shades that are a departure for Milani, which was originally created as a brand to cover the ethnic gap most popular cosmetic brands ignored but became "cool" enough for those of us with lighter skin to notice in drugstore aisles because of other products with cross-ethnic appeal (like eye shadows, mascara, nail polish) that they often heard from customers they wished there was lighter foundation and powders, too. So, I think you got the wrong end of the stick somewhere about what this brand is. I actually came to your video because I wanted to know if the lighter shades were truly pale enough for someone who could use flour as face powder!

Definitely check the Milani web site because they've just recently added even MORE lighter shades than this. Regarding shades, I fully understand that when they were founded in the early 2000's, they targeted a less ethnically diverse audience. In 2018, I personally feel that inclusivity is more important, as brand after brand expands their shade ranges to both ends of the lightness/darkness spectrum. So I do criticize Milani for not keeping up with the times with regards to shade range. It's their prerogative, but it's something I analyze as a part of every one of my reviews, so for consistency's sake, Milani gets no exemption.

Yeah once upon a time I lost almost 40 pounds doing keto, but it messed up my cholesterol because doing keto as a vegetarian means I was eating a lot of dairy to hit my protein numbers. My doc said, either start eating meat or start eating carbs... and I won't eat meat, so I gained it all back. I need to get back on some kind of diet horse....
