OMGEEEE... you are almost at 1 Million Subscribers!!! If I could, I would do a back flip for you. Your content is so rich with deep-dive research and because of that, my skin has never looked better. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! ❤️
Agreed with all!! My skin has never looked better, all because of you, all because of you, all because of you Angie! I would have never gone through this journey & attention to my skin if it weren’t for your guidance. Thank you for all your hard work each and every day!!!! 🙏 I’m singing 🎶’You make me feel so young’. 🎵
These videos are so valuable for me! I am 66, and in my younger days, I was a professional make-up artist. Being long retired from that business, it's fascinating to have been watching the evolution of make-up tech. Your testing and honesty about how all these products wear is so, so informative and helpful for how I think about choosing how I spend money. Thank you for all your hard work!
I love everything you create, Angie, and am so grateful to you for your dedication and honesty! Would you consider doing a casual GRWM again? You work so hard testing everything for us and I know you only have so many hours in a day, but I do miss the chatty, funny makeup sessions hearing about what tv shows you were watching and light-hearted stuff. This is NOT meant as a criticism of the wonderful content you do create. Much love!
Tried the Nars, CT and the Chanel - I am 55 and even though it is $70 the Chanel is worth EVERY penny. Doesnt sit in any lines pores seem like normal not Grand Cayons - CT so yellow- Nars was no wear time at all. Chanel actually made it through a full day of work and an evening with my grandbaby.
I love both the Chanel and the CT. I'm passing on NARS because it seems better for non dry skins, and I've spent enough now, searching for the perfect base. The Chanel is my favorite between the two.
so nice to finally hear someone say it! This CT foundation is so over hyped and I hated it. It immediately looked awful on my skin. The Loreal serum is actually so good. I love that one!
I had the same results. I did not use sunscreen as the website does not include it in their ads...so for a first try I tried it solo. I used CT powder in my T-zone, and CT blush and contour. It did NOT last 8 hours, let alone 10 to even 16. Wore around my chin, nose and side of my face...I am VERY disappointed since they took the MAGIC foundation off the market to replace it with this. I was very happy with the Magic foundation, you did not have to jump through hoops, and it did last without too much settling. I also could use my sunscreen and other products without any difficulty. This foundation is basically for women with perfect skin, or women in their 20's and 30's. I really hope she brings back the MAGIC. The hype is just not meeting the reality. BTW woman in her 60's here, without crows feet, but with lines around the mouth, same issues of larger pores and some sun damage spots...love the E.Ll Double Wear, but now dryer skin ( winter in TX) makes me drop the matte that I loved, and use the Futurist. I did love the MAGIC and have one bottle left. So on with the replacement search.
I absolutely love all of your content and have bought so many great products (makeup and otherwise) through your recommendations. Yours is one of the only accounts I trust. Thank you for your in-depth, honest reviews! 😊💕
I’m so surprised! I’m 55 with dry skin and I love it! I use the milk hydro gripping primer and the CT flawless airbrush powder and I get all day wear with absolutely no settling in the wrinkles. It’s definitely my new favourite foundation ☺️
Same for me. Think it’s an absolutely beautiful foundation and wears lovely on my skin and doesn’t settle into my fine lines at all. I have dry skin and its definitely not drying for me. Obviously everyone has different skin and skincare regimes and obviously some products aren’t going to play together nicely all of the time.
For me it’s also perfect. Especially the shade 5N, which is perfect for my light to medium olive skin tone. The foundation doesn’t settle in wrinkles or dry out my skin. It doesn’t become shiny or greasy throughout the day. I often get the impression that Angie’s skin is difficult compared to my drier 58 year old skin. Or maybe she uses too much product. I only use one pump on my whole face and it gives a very natural, skin like coverage.
Same here! I really like it and it doesn’t look dry on me. Has great wear once I powder it. I will say that mix it with moisturizer, but I always do that with everything because I am so dry.
Same here, I hated this at first, but I paid 44 dollars and finally figured out that if you are well moisturized, mix in a bit of Charlottes miracle cream , slightly damp sponge,, and set with her finishing spray- beautiful , fresh skin finish with 8 to 10 hour wear. I'm 61, dry flaky areas, normal areas, oily areas.
I just bought it and it will be my first Charlotte Tilbury foundation. Typically, my skin (fair, oily) reacts best to foundations that Angie DOESN'T like. An all time fave is It's now discontinued Confidence in a Compact with spf of 50.
I’ve worn Chanel for years (Vitalumiere Aqua has been my longtime go to), but I adore this Charlotte Tilbury foundation. It’s the only CT foundation I’ve tried, but I think it looks fantastic on me. My skin is dry and this gives a gorgeous but natural glow and not drying at all. Nor does it settle into fine lines on me. I think it just depends on your own skin type.
No one else does the review like you do. It is so detailed. Amazing. If it's not too difficult, would you please add a step where you just wear the foundation on its own (no moisturizer, no spf, no primer). I think this is a basic step to see what exactly it does. Thank you so much, Angie.
Great review Angie. I made the huge mistake of purchasing this 2 wks ago. I have normal skin and am 65. Very few lines. In less than an hour after application I looked like a grease-ball. I am not sure I have ever had any foundation in my life grease up so much. In less than 2 hours, it had settled into lines I didn't even know existed on my face! My face looked like a patchy greasy mess. I almost got into a car accident glancing at it in my rear view mirror. Alarming to see how bad it looked. I made a U-turn, headed back to the house, took it all off, grabbed the tube and drove to Sephora to return it. You will not believe this but there were 7 of us in line, and I kid you not, THREE of us were returning this same darned makeup. Epic fail of a product. Not sure I have ever used one that was worse. As always, you do the best reviews. Keep up the great work and many congrats on your number of subscribers. So impressive!
I saw the thumb nail. I watched the video as I was getting ready to run to Sephora for the foundation. After watching the video I decided I’m not going to run to Sephora after all. Thank you Angie for another thoroughly thorough review! We all just love you and your channel! 😍😍😍
Omg. Almost 1. I have followed you for so long. 4-5 yrs ? Maybe longer. You have the best reviews. You always put so much work into them all. Thank you. I know you’ll track 1k. Woooo
Thank you, Angie. I had the same results. I went into Nordstrom after I worked out. The only thing on my face was a serum and a sun screen. As soon as the sales woman started applying the foundation to my skin it started to pill. She gave me a sample to take home and work with. But it has been a week now and I have tried everything. With my usual skin care products it failed or none of those products just a moisturizer, with a primer and without, with sun screen and without, different combinations of these products and trying different products, and finally with or without face powder. I just couldn't get it to stop making my face look dry and showing pores or wrinkles. It has been a NO for me. I am so glad the sales woman gave me a sample to work with. That is why I love Nordstrom. Great customer service. Thank you for doing this, I thought I was the only one that couldn't make it work. I was so hopeful for this product to work on mature skin. I am 67 years old. I think I have normal skin.
I've been looking at buying this foundation so doing a bit of research before I spend the money. This is by far the best review and most thorough demonstration I've found. Thank you.
Hot and Flashy is one of only a few RU-vidrs I faithfully follow. I am a 65 yr old woman and I always take your advice into consideration before making purchases of skincare and makeup!.You never let me down!
I just bought a friend a set of your brushes and she is tickled pink with them! I'm so happy I went through with it because she truly loves them! She's getting lots of attention for you as she does Facebook lives every day and RU-vid once a week and all she talks about are your brushes!!!!
I really enjoy your Foundation Fridays. Just wondering if you have ever or would consider a Powder Foundation Friday. Thank you for all you do to inspire your community to be beautiful.
Yes!! Even though I have dry skin, I love powder foundations for everyday just because you can put it on so much more quickly and get on with your day. I recently tried Tarte shape tape powder and GloWish. I really like them both.
Angie, PLEASE always stay the person U R ! UR For Real and that what counts. Reason I tell U this, I have watched many a UTube hostess and after months and years turned them off. UR Real from within and out.
OMG I love your channel! So honest and helpful. I thought I was the only person in the world who's skin dosn't suit the CT foundations. I have tried them all and they are terrible for rubbing off with masks and they made me look 10 years older. Thank you.
I have what I consider to be 63-year-old normal skin and this foundation just went wrong on me. It was very shiny all day and I just didn’t like it and I actually returned it and I got the new Nars foundation which actually I absolutely love. I agree with your assessment of this foundation.
Hi Angie…thanks for the review. Saved me from running out and buying yet another foundation! 😅. I’m wondering if you’ve ever considered reviewing Chantecaille products? I’d love to know your opinion and am hoping you might dive into that line one day. ☺️ thanks for all you do!
I am sooo hoping that you will review the Wayne Goss cream foundation. I can’t wait to try it. I know it is for all ages-but Wayne does seem to care for us mature ladies.
Went to get a hydro facial recently. First time. The esthetician asked about what sunscreen I used. She was pleased with my choice of Elta MD. Thank you!
I appreciate you doing a full day without powder I don’t wear powder so as soon as someone puts powder on it’s kinda a moot point for me. Great video have a great weekend!
I don’t always get the same results as you, but I love how thorough your foundation reviews are. Thank you for putting in so much time and effort (and money) for your viewers!
Thank you for a very honest review with real proof. I’ve tried several CT products and I have come to the conclusion that the brand is highly overrated.
Been watching you since I was 29!! I’m 36 and follow your skincare routine and I never comment. Well I used too but haven’t in a while because I’m a busy momma now BUT GIRL I HOPE WISH AND 🙏🏻 PRAY I LOOK as good as you at your age 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍😘😘😘😘😘
I bought this before watching many reviews and was so excited to get it. I HATED everything about it and it was promptly returned. I do LOVE the new Nars light reflecting foundation.
Angie, you are the guru when it comes to foundation. I have used Re-Nutriv Ultra Radiance by Estée Lauder foundation (Desert Beige) for 8 years, it’s hydrating, has a beautiful light texture and buildable. I get asked often about what my skin care routine and I say it’s whatever Angie uses and Re-Nutriv to show it off! I’ve never seen a review of this foundation by an influencer. I’ve tried other foundations but always come back to this one. I would love to know your thoughts on it. Thank you for providing great content and research.
I was tempted to order this yesterday, so happy I didn’t… I suspected it wasn’t going to meet up to its hype. I have never met a Charlotte Tilbury product that I “love” yet.
Thank you as usual for your thorough review. I’m 68 but super duper oily. Other reviews caused me to doubt I could wear this foundation well; yours has clinched it for me. I shall not waste my money on this one.
Whew! Glad we have Angie to do a deep dive into these foundations for us! Thank you for making alternative and better foundation suggestions for us at the end of the video. I am still in love with the Sephora brand one. Thank you Angie for helping us more mature gals look better and better!
I'm 59 also didn't like the Charlotte Tilbury foundation. Took it back. I really would like you to test the new Nars radiant foundation. I've heard such great things about it. Not a lot of choices that aren't sold out. I really love your opinion because you have the same type skin I do except your skin is soooo beautiful with very little wrinkles because you take such good care of it!! Lovvvve your lip color!!!
In a similar age group, maybe a little drier. But I really don't care for much powder with this foundation. Whats worked for me with this product is the Milk Gripping primer & the C.Tilbury setting spray.
CT beautiful foundation is gorgeous. Easy to apply and feels natural and light. It’s the first one of hers that I like. Doesn’t oxidize. Weird that you did not have a good experience. I used nothing under it. Had no issues.
Just purchased the Sephora foundation and absolutely love it. Also have the IT Cosmetics foundation and it is my fav. These are my top two holy grails.
I had the same experience with this one. It looked so bad a few hours after applying, I was so embarrassed I had been walking around looking like that! Patchy, cakey & showing everything I try to hide. I was so surprised because most makeup reviewers loved it!
I was going to try this. I’m 45 but I don’t think I’ll buy it. Unfortunately my go to is the La Mer foundation which is outrageous, but it’s so good! So I’m always looking for a dupe, or at least something really nice but less expensive. The search continues! Thanks Angie!
I tried the CT foundation as well and didn't like it. I was so surprised how many people raved about it. I felt it magnified all of my pores and settled into my lines as well. I am currently trying the Iris & Romeo tinted sunscreen. So far, I am loving it! I do wear a powder over it, but it is still on when I remove it at night. I would love to see you review it and give your opinion. They also have smaller travel sized jars to try rather than having to spend on a full-sized product. I also really like the tinted sunscreen LaRoche-Posey if I only want a sunscreen. The L'Oreal works well as a foundation. It blends beautifully! I have also tried a By Terry foundation that is really nice. It has a clicker dispenser with a brush attached. Thank you so much for sharing your reviews! I love this channel!
The L’Oréal and Tarte are my two favorites right now! I am 61 and have had a horrible time the last 5 years or so to find ANYTHING that I love. These two work beautifully with my normal to dry skin. I think I will pass on this one. Thank you as always!! ♥️
Thanks again for you honest reviews. Love and follow your skin care routine for a few years now and it’s definitely working. I just turned 50 and no one believes I am even close to it!! Funny thing the other day at ulta had a crowd around me asking what I do to look so young, I told them about you and to look you up on RU-vid and follow you and they wouldn’t be sorry!!
And I forgot to ask where are you finding the beauty blender leveler primer can not find the lighter shade one anywhere anymore, is it discontinued?? Help hahaha
I like this foundation! I’m in my 40’s- I do have Dry skin and it’s perfect for me. I never use powder with any foundation. It actually makes my skin look really smooth and wears on my dry skin for a full day.
Hey Angie. Thanks again for ALL your hard work. I think I'll pass on this CT base. Don't want to hassle with the return. I so LOVE my Double Wear, I know how to blend using the best products underneath for an amazing long long wearing champion!!! Also LOVE LOVE my Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear, gorgeous! With all the skincare you promote, and I follow for 4 years now, make up in general looks so much better!!!! This is FUN Angie when I am 9 years & 9 months older than you ~ and I receive compliments about skin, make up, long hair~ yes LONG...you dont have to cut your hair into a little short pixie, or bob just because you are older. If you take care of your long hair you deserve to feel and look as young as you can!! I think THAT SUBJECT " LONG HAIR" and over 50/60 would be a perfect video!!!!! 💕
I totally with you about this foundation. Don't understand why everyone is flipping over it. I am suggesting to more to add to your "try" list: Chanel new ($$?) foundation, and the new Kosas foundation. Thanks. Love your thoroughness and sense of humour!
Thanks for another foundation trial…I have very dry skin. So, I enjoy what you find for us dry ladies…lol! The Ordinary’s have come out with a couple of Primers and Foundation. Wondering if you would ever consider trying them 😊…Thanks
I have dermatitis on my face and tried so many liquid foundations. All bad for me. I decided to try a powder foundation and found them to be great all day wear. Bare minerals matte foundation, the faux tan all over face color bronzer and the concealer broad spectrum spf20. Also the Mac studio fix plus powder foundation. All very natural and looks great. I’m 60 years old and finally after hundreds of dollars spent on products that just did not work for me. Just an fyi for anyone who has issues like I do with their skin. Thanks so much. Always love your videos. 🌺💖⭐️
6N made me orange. And it made me look older. I’m 47 with a good skin care routine. 🤷♀️. I sent it back after trying 5 days in a row. I’m testing Nars right now.
My first time here. I agree- I have not liked any previous CT foundations…. waiting to see how this one measures up… maybe I’ll stick to Armani Luminous Silk? I’m still watching tho…. Great demo! Thank you!!
LOVE, LOVE your foundation reviews. In my opinion, my foundation has to be a team player, if it doesn’t play well with others, particularly sunscreens, it is a sure hard pass for me. Sunscreen is a must for me due to my melasma. I am leaning more and more to invest in great sunscreens or tinted moisturizers these days. THANK YOU Angie for such a detailed review, love it! Have a great weekend.
@@christyhoehn8244 I sometimes spray setting spray before and after foundation if I feel it might be too prone to transfer, or too oily. Try it and see if you see a difference!
This ‘natural’ trend in makeup now reminds me of the emperor’s clothes. As long as people all agree there’s no coverage but how natural they look spending 70 dollars on something a famous brand makes, and everyone should love it the more they are deceived. Well I don’t like shiny no coverage looks and like to look ‘better than I usually do’ so good luck with your natural greasy looks and grey coverage hair looks, I just much prefer to look better, not older.
Thanks Angie! 😊 I was wondering about the CT as it’s been hyped up as of late! I’m definitely going to try the Tarte tinted moisturizer-that sounds completely up my alley! Thanks so much for your recommendations! They work out for me about 99% of the time!! 👍👍😀
I so happy to be watching your video! I had a very busy fun filled day and I want you to know that I enjoy your channel's content. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead! Thank you for posting!
I also bought the new CT foundation and while I really like it I can't say I like it more then my Estee Lauder Hydra Futurist Foundation. I feel like the new CT foundation is best applied with either fingers or the BK Beauty foundation brush. For me it is a really nice foundation to wear if going out for dinner with friends or meeting the girls for lunch, but it isn't the longest wearing foundation for someone the is still working 8 to 10 hours a day. Thank You for your review. I also found that it worked best best and lasted the longest with either CT setting spray or the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. Several others have said the same thing. They all feel it is a beautiful foundation just not the longest wearing foundation. With all that said I will definitely be finishing my tube, but my Estee Lauder and my IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better are my holy grail! Once again, thank you for all the work you put into your videos.
I'm so happy to hear you say this!!!!! I am also "mad at it" for the hype. I wasn't impressed at all with the coverage, color was too yellow even though I got a cool shade and it was not skin like at all. So disappointed in this !
Recently I have found if I press the setting spray into my foundation before continuing my make up it does much better.. I am over 50 and have many lines. We have a problem with the foundations showing our texture and settling. Since I have been rolling a sponge over my face and setting it with the setting spray it looks much much better… For example I just purchased the elf Camo powder foundation… everybody’s talking about it so I thought for 11 bucks let’s give it a try.. Well first day… I just put it on did a second coat in my T-zone and went on my way… I HATED IT 😳 There was so much fallout from the powder my face looked like it needed to be dusted…my face looked so dry. The second time I really buffed it in well. I did two layers and really buffed and buffed it in. I did not see any fall out after I buffed it. I then sprayed it down with setting spray and rolled my spongr up and down my face, pressing into my skin…I LOVE IT. What a difference it makes by buffing and pressing setting spray into the foundation👏👏👏👏👏👏. Nice coverage, quick application, did not settle or accentuate my lines…
Always enjoy your channel. Would you consider doing some videos like get ready for a special event (trial run). For instance that green dress for resort wear and the makeup you would suggest for that color. I know you like to wear a lot of neutrals, but throw in some color now and then and I’m having trouble matching my makeup to what I’m wearing. Wedding season is coming up and how about a special dress you would wear to a wedding and your makeup. Just an idea which might be very helpful to viewers. I’ll keep watching!
A super test! You really try to use the new product under different conditions and in different kinds of light. I'm 62, dealing with sensitive skin, rosacea, and a tight budget, so this product would never be in my life. But I do appreciate your considerable time and energy. One question: When you say the product has settled into your forehead wrinkles, where exactly are those wrinkles? I don't see them at all! Thank you!
Thanks for this very indepth review. I wont be bothering with Charlotte Tilbury. My favourite foundation at the moment is the iT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better foundation. It works perfectly with my 66 yr old skin and doesnt make me feel caked in stuff, its a lovely foundation for dry mature skin.
Great video! I was gonna try this after I tried the Nars light reflecting makeup, which was a no for me. Now I know I won’t be trying! Thank you! So many expensive ones that just aren’t that great, I may try the Tarte or the loreal.
Angie I know you use the red light Omnilux Contour Face Mask. It is too expensive for me at this time. Do you know anything about the Cooling Skincare Kit Cryotherapy? Thank you for all you do! You go way above and beyond!
This is a fantastic review for foundation. Sadly this is my experience with many foundations or CC/BB creams. I have a hard time finding a product that wears well on my skin. I am still looking for a winner.
Appreciate your take on these foundations. I'm definitely a person who likes radiance and I avoid mattifying anything and I also only use certified cruelty free products which IT and Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics are cruelty free. Thanks!
This was a big no for me. The first day it was so bad I dropped my kids off at school and went straight home to wash it off. I didn’t like the new Nars either, but that’s a shade issue. I am wearing the new Tarte Cloud foundation and I like it so far. I ordered the new Kosas to try. Makeup Forever is releasing a new HD soon, maybe I’ll try that. I do want to try the Tarte tinted moisturizer as well.
Thank you for this review ! I’m 52 and have dry , sensitive skin . I decided to try the Light Wonder over this one . It’s so hard for me to find foundations I like !
I’m always excited for Foundation Friday and skin care updates. I’m a loyal watcher, about 5-6 years I think. I’m soon to be 75 and am pleased with my aging process. This is thanks to you, Drs. Dray and Lim, plus Caroline. My rosacea is under control, I no longer purchase sun screen that stings skin and eyes, and my Omnilux REALLY works! My current challenge is to find skin care products that don’t leave my skin sticky. Who needs that! I really appreciate your hard work and honesty
Another great review video! Thanks for saving me $44.00. As soon as you said that it settled in wrinkles and is drying it was a big NO for me. How ironic that it's "glowy" but dries out the skin. Who needs high beam reflection highlighting wrinkles and texture? I always trust your information! Thanks Angie! XXOO ❤️
Ty for the wear test. I was hoping this would be much better as well. Another point I want to make is that I have no problem whatsoever with buying high end makeup most of my makeup and skin care are higher priced items…however, when it comes to a high end foundation it REALLY irks me when one has to purchase 2 shades to get their correct shade. (It’s the principle) for high end makeup no one should have to mix 2-3 colors. That should be done ✅ already. Seems she has to revisit her formulation. And revisit her color chart. Ty for your candid reviews. 👍😊
I’m always checking new foundations. I always have most problems with shades. Who wants to regularly buy additional shades to Make it work? I’ve liked the new Dior Foundation. I have dry skin so I chose the glow which for me wasn’t glory which I like. There’s also the non drying version available. My Chanel foundation is always the winner for me. I always love your videos.
