Virelai des marees resembles me Ravel's "La valse". It is actually magnificent to create a piece, that is unique in itself, but that looks part of the native Fontaine's culture (say, we all know where is Fontaine IRL)
Coppelia and Coppelius's themes are the most impressive ones to me you can tell the different in the tone of the two seperate music that Coppelia's is very elegant, light hearted and harmonic, and Coppelius's is more dominant, masculine and epic.
"Rondeau des fleurs et des rapières - Roundel of Flowers and Rapiers" THIS ONE. This one has a different pitch compared to every track for battling. And it's so good. "Lamentation et Triomphe (of Triumph)" reminds me of various Character Demos ngl, and has a Randy Newman trumpet vibe to it 😌 The Icewind Suite tracks don't feel intense honestly but they capture what the machines are intended to do.
While everyone is saying they like virelai des marees battle theme, i really enjoy La bataille de Fontaine! And I really like it when Greate Fontaine Lake ll plays on background while swimming... It feels like I was transferred to some fairytale world..
Don't make such good ost I forget always what to do and vibe with the enemies 😂 Sometimes I stand in one area for more than 10 mins just to complete the background mysic😂
When will the album be on Deezer? I love quality sound, and it's only there. I want to listen to your music in my personal Deezer playlists, but you deprive me of this opportunity😢
Virelai des marees deserves a noble prize, grammy, emmy, oscar, goty, worldwide recognition as a classic, a museum, a movie, a book, a documentary, a--
@@tanxixuanmoe9275fontaine is the most gorgeous region we have had so far (in my opinion) both story and music wise, so i don’t think you’d be disappointed by it if you give genshin a try!
"Virelai des marees" has to be the culmination of classical music in video game OSTs: seamlessly incorporating one of many essences of Romanticism-contrasting melodies played by CONTRASTING instruments-really did it justice here. HOYO-MIX is in good hands even without Yu-Peng Chen, for the production team already has talented individuals that help shape the course of Genshin's music. Looking forward to what you guys have in store for the future!
The reoccurring theme of 9:05, 10:37, and 11:08 is my favorite-the parallel violin lines are slightly sweet and reminiscing the first time, reappearing in a higher register, and finally opens up in the statement of the climactic theme
Lamentation et Triomphe 4:05 definitely my favourite one . The opening really gives me a goosebump while battling. The background music really adds to the excitement of the scene. It fits perfectly and makes the battle feel even more intense. Good job on picking a soundtrack that enhances the action!
Despite the absence of Yu Peng Chen, Rondeau des fleurs still manages to capture the structure and tropes of all previous Photon of Fluctuation-type battle themes. Fontaine's in good hands
Yu-Peng Chen might not be on HoyoMix anymore, but remember: "Though you alone are here, they too have ambitions, which they long since entrusted to you." Let's carry forward what he would have wanted for the music, just as the rest of the HoyoMix team are doing.
the music of Fontaine definitely makes combat feel more like a dance, much like a duel. For every move your enemy makes, you move in accordance. your feet step to the rhythm of combat, every strike is merely part of the beat, and it does not stop until one duelist's clock stops ticking.
J’aime la musique de la région de Fontaine.En particulier les musiques de l’océan et de bataille. Très bon travail Hoyo-Mix! Also btw I am German but after I saw all the french track tiles of the Fontaine OST, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to practice my French a bit:)
2:23 Ughh I get chills every single time and again at 2:54! Then there's all of Lamentation et Triomphe which just puts a big smile on my face and makes me laugh because there's no way something could be so good. I can't help but ascend listening to the music from both Sumeru and Fonatine. Thank you Hoyo-Mix for everything you do, we're so grateful.
yes, but the hoyo-mix team is very talented! even most of the genshin ost wasn't composed by yu peng chen, though! (eg. ayaka demo, yae miko demo, candace. demo.. just to name a few)
Nice Chihaya pfp, rare to encounter a rewrite fan these days Also agree, even if all people hate genshin, the music is the only thing we can all love and appreciate It.
@@aorusuki2374 @aorusuki2374 Same, I can easily say that akane is the most unique between the rest, but I also like kotori cheerfulness maybe I should start another playthrough and experience rewrite beauty once more, I kinda got tired from the gacha war drama after all.
@Ze_Sora yea akane have decent writing due to explain the holy woman fate. But it is really good writing and the voice actor really delivers well her feelings in the end.
@@tristanmanalo6252There are many references to Spain in Fontaine (it seems that Fontaine is based in southern Europe) and flamenco is from Spain, not Latin America, so it is not strange that it sounds in Fontaine's music. In Natlan I suppose there will be another type of music similar to flamenco, I think?
5:33 whenever I just happened to cast Furina's burst exactly when this part of the music starts, I immediately goosebump. Majestic finale at it's finest
i still stand by my belief that the first track is the best one, especially when i heard it when it leaked as a midi, thats when i decided it. I like the other ones just as much, but i still like the first one the most.
BATTLE THEME BATTLE THEME NOW DISC. 4 AND MASTERPOST!!! Rondeau des fleurs et des rapières: Rondel of flowers and rapier (For rapier I had to go to a translator, I'll admit, a rapier is a long, but thin sword) Lamentation et Triomphe: Lament and Triumph (I don't think anyone actually needed that one lol) Virelai des marées: Virelai of the tide (Virelai come from virelay, a lyric short poems) Now, to the master post: Disc. 1: Souvenir avec le crepuscule: Memory with the dusk La nuit silencieuse et paisible: The silent and peaceful night Quand la lumière resplendira: When the light will shine Pluie sur la ville: Rain on the town (City will maybe work more, but "Town" is prettier) Le fleuve secret: The secret river (Fleuve is however, like, a very big river) Limpide et sanglot d'eau: Clear and sobbing water Clair de lune: Moonlight Le spectacle doit continuer: The show must go on "Je sais le nom de l'entranger!": "I know the stranger's name!" Disc. 2: Rêve d'allouette: Skylark/Lark's dream (It have many translation, for the who don't know, an lark is a bird, it may be a reference to a baby song "Gentille Allouette" ("Nice lark") Que le vent soit doux: May the breeze be sweet (We can also say gentle or soft) Ondulation du rythmes: Rythm's ripple (we can say Waveform instead) Language des fleurs: Language of the flowers Demain, dès l'aube: Tomorrow, at dawn Les murmures des flots: The murmurs of the waves (or whispering) Les Nuits: The Nights (He said "One day, you'll leave this world behind, so live a life, you will remember") Qui me freine a un tel moment: Who slow me down at such a moment Disc. 3: La cité en la mer: The city to the sea (?) (I think they meant "Cité") Les étoiles semblent s'estomper: The stars seem to fade (Yeah, they don't put the accent) Le dormeur du val: The sleeper of the valley Disc.4: (still posting it here, gonna make it easier to copypast) Rondeau des fleurs et des rapières: Rondel of flowers and rapier (For rapier I had to go to a translator, I'll admit, a rapier is a long, but thin sword ) Lamentation et Triomphe: Lament and Triumph (I don't think anyone actually needed that one lol) Virelai des marées: Virelai of the tide (Virelai come from virelay, a lyric short poems) And that it. Once the other disc get released, I'll move the masterpost there. Thank you
Fontaine soundtrack made me appreciate the value of a DPS Barbara, and the thrill of fighting through the whole song. Just kidding! It wasn't Fontaine, I've been doing this since Sumeru :)
0:08 Rondeau des fleurs et des rapieres 4:09 Lamentation et Triomphe 8:07 Virelai des marees 12:16 Aubade of Coppelia 14:34 Envoi of Coppelius (Your welcome if this helps!)
Hmm I'm surprised people like the 3rd battle theme so much. My ranking (order of video) 2 > 1 > 3 The dynamic rhythm and multiple mininparts of different instruments is quite amazing. Heroic dance, shall we have this fight? Multiple callbacks to the purpose of the journey, thanks to the leitmotiv in photon of fluctuation. 1 shows the entire Fontaine elegance of dance and danger with such varied instruments. Like it a lot to hear glass harmonica and water harp used with accordions and strings. 3 is quite special... It starts tense, devolve into a waltz with not entirely safe sounds and stays dramatic like this. The big waltz part is awesome though but it takes a while to come. It's like... Dance and danger together? It's the more dangerous of the 3 music for sure.
For those who don't know, both Aubade of Coppelia and Envoi of Coppelius are available to both of the bosses. The Aubade of Coppelia will play if they are not in climax mode, and Envoi of Coppelius is to have them perform their climax attack, so you can still enjoy listening when grinding for boss mats to your Lynette, albeit have them perform their climax and have a shielder :D
