Good afternoon Karyna! The Pen BBS inks are really nice. The Colorverse Martian ink is especially nice. I like the red/orange color. One of my favorite ink colors. I’m not familiar with the Majohn ink brand but the Clear Dream is really nice. I have enough inks to last many lifetimes. But I also enjoy sharing my inks with others which helps me get through them. The Cosmo paper definitely allows for some shading compared to the other papers.

Very nice video as usual! Since you are in your "brown era" Here's a few stunning browns: FWP Workshop Wishes (I kept it for 2 month in a Pelikan M620 without any issues, always starting fine), Noodler's Golden Brown (sometime slow to dry but simply stunning), Graf Von Faber Castel Cognac (nicely behave and nice warm color) P.S. I have FWP Oyster Hour and I love it as well!
I would love this too, @karynalovestoplan along with tips for getting started with swatching a collection. I have a ton of samples and I want to switch them before putting in a pen, but feel overwhelmed at beginning.
This is a great idea. I do have a longer video from Dec/Jan where I do set up my 2024 Ink Journal. To be honest, this journal is more chronological and organic, rather than very structured!
I'd have to disagree with a comment you made: this is DEFINITELY a scientific approach that you're doing here!! You are using the same two nib setups to swatch every ink....you're using 3 different paper types to compare....and you're going about it in a consistent and methodical way that can be reproduced. That is the epitome of a science project! 😅 Love your videos btw.
I’ve been looking around for a really good grape popsicle colour and that Alt-Bordeaux looks like it would be a great fit. I only recently got into fountain pens/inks and I’ve been watching a ton of your swatching videos, it’s so funny to see your opinion on brown inks change so drastically in fast forward 😂 I support it though; I especially love golden and green-gold browns. So beautiful!
I wonder about bleed through on the onion paper. I’d be interested to know how it holds up with letter writing. I want to love oyster hour but it was too light for me. Fun video!

I’ve ordered the Benu Minima Opal Dust & really wondering what ink to pair it with, & I thought I know I’ll ask the “Queen of Ink” ! 🤣 I’m thinking maybe a shimmery black but wondered if you had come across an ink that reminds you of the colours in an opal??? Colours in an opal? You could match almost anything with an opal? What stands out to me are the teals or purples, but you could certainly do a coral! I'd recommend Teranishi Opera Rose (it's a dusty pinky coral). Have fun searching!
