Join us as we explore Fountains Abbey in Studley Royal Park near Ripon in North Yorkshire, England. A nice quiet day as we wander through the ruins of the Abbey that was first founded in 1166 and sold and destroyed beginning in 1540 when King Henry VIII took control of the abbeys of England. I first visited Fountains Abbey early 1970"s while I was at First School. And have visited since. This is an enchanting place to visit; and you can feel the past running through your body. A truly magical place. (From a Yorkshireman).

We love Fountains Abbey and all of the other places operated by the National Trust! Expensive days out (for our family of 5) unless you have a membership! Which we do!! Great video 👍🏼

Because Fountain Abbey ís a very peaceful place..... I visited in the year 2009.... and.... lovely.... amazing.... peaceful.... the best of England... I come back to Spain , and I Miss a lot.... fountain abbey ís in my heart and Soul.... forever.... 😊
