Thanks parents for singing and bringing such classic hits into our home and even singing them with your sweet voices. Also thanks for trying to explain to us kids who they were and what the song meant. I can still recognize many of them. You knew your hits and had fun singing some in the chorus. First year of college in 1953, this song always makes me remember my old friends and girl friends.

Love The Four Aces recording of this song. My memory goes back to when this first came out.

It's odd that the Four Aces, who first brought Stranger in Paradise to the Hit Parade, have fallen to the bottom of the You Yube list, topped by those who covered it like Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Ray Conniff, Vic Damone etc.

When i was 9 years old i knew this song by heart, i really love this song, it brings back some wonderful memory in my hay days..

I don't recall Tony Bennett's version. I do remember hearing Don Cornell's. But the Four Acees' rendition was the most popular in Texas.

This was my parent's song. They were married on Valentine's Day in 1954. They used to play this record and many others when my brothers and I were growing up..This brings back many memories.

Ok, I just favorited this. Am I getting old or what? I actually think its kind of funny, maudlin and over-the-top. But I love the song. And I love the idea of four guys getting together and crooning like this. Wish I had three vocally talented buddies I could emote with!

Music from opera "Prince Igor" with "Polovtesian dances" by Alexander Borodin. I was enjoying the "Prince Igor" in Opera Theatre in Kiev. Wonderfull opera , music and ballet !!! Easy to link the leitmotif of the opera that repeats several times, throughout the song.

This song is full love and yet theres no word of love in this song. Love it!

Al was such a fantastic, one of kind man, and his singing with The Four Aces made for an extraordinary group! It is indeed sad that Al has left us.

I watched long ago a film of the same title and it had this theme song. I recall my Dad took me to the cinema to watch it as i was a child then. But I liked it so much and had not Heard it in over 60 years. And it is nice to hear it again. The lyrics are somewhat dreamy and nice. Beautiful song.

Why are a lot these old films in such a poor condition they had good camera equipment in the1950's/60's

This was my parent's song... My Dad passed away at age 46, they were only married 24 years..They were married on Valentine's Day 1954. This coming Valentine's day they would have been married 70 years...(I am their first born, I was born 9 mos and 20 days after their wedding day..) RIP Dad and Mom... Please tell my brothers I love them and I miss them....

this was my father's favorite group. he died 25 years ago. he would play their music on 8 tracks in his Lincoln Continental doing 80 on the garden state parkway and we would sing along. I think about that almost every day.

Here I am listening again. Got it in my favorites. But has anyone here listened to The Ames Brothers? Truly beautiful Harmony. I love the Four Aces. There were quite a few groups that sang such beautiful songs. Anybody have a listen to Gordon McRae. Wow what a voice & he was gorgeous to look at.. And please tell me that all of you have had a listen to Sha na na with JOHNNY CONTARDO as the lead singer & of course Bowzer!!
