My beloved big sister Luiza is such a huge fan of yours. When she cooks a special meal for us, it's definitely going to be a Marion Grasby recipe from YT. So, last Christmas as one of my gifts for her, I got 2 of your cookbooks from our local bookshop. She was ecstatic to have your books, but she continues to watch you on YT to this day. Your Vietnamese lemongrass chicken was our dinner one week-end ago, it was delectable. Thank you and much love from the Philippines.
I have been cooking Asian food for over 45 years, thanks to my Chinese husband. A little time saving tip.....you can rehydrate Shitake mushrooms in the microwave. In a rice bowl with water to cover for 1.5 minutes, depending on the strength of the microwave.
I learnt a great tip from a Japanese site that advises to soak shiitake mushrooms overnight in the fridge to produce a large amount of guanylate as umami flavour is boosted significantly when the rehydrating water temperature is close to 0℃.
I made a bunch of your char siu pork and froze it. Now that we are super busy at work I can make this quickly. And it's better than buying pre frozen meals that are over processed. Thank you for these recipes.❤ We bought 2 of your cookbooks, love them!!!!!
After my husband passed I found I was cooking quick un-interesting meals. I found it hard to cook for one. Being celiac, it is hard to eat out. After finding Marion and her wonderful recipes I’m now eating delicious home cooked interesting meals, even though I adjust them to GF. It’s worth the effort, Thanks Marion.
Sorry to hear about your husband I'm glad you're doing well. I only recently found this channel from Hot Thai Kitchen. I have a friend that's also celiac. The food here looks delicious. I plan on making a lot of these dishes.
Wendy, I'm sorry to hear of your loss :( I I'm allergic to gluten and other foods, I agree eating out is difficult, I've found the easiest are South Asian restaurants, curries for example. Tho' I could sometimes climb on the table, stick my face into the delicious naan bread sitting there as soft as a club, delicious chat marks from the tandoori oven, the garlic butter glistening....My mouth is watering lol
I know what you mean, when it's something just for more another version of a recipe that I can have, particularly if I'm already making the original recipe I can't always be bothered. It can seen like too much work and effort. Hope you have a great day
Watching from the U.S. and exercising. I was not sure what to make for dinner tonight. Now I know. If only mine came out as delicious as yours. (It never does) 🙃 Thank you for the recipes.
I’m watching from Castlemaine, Victoria. Really enjoy watching you cook, love the tips and shortcuts and your easy conversation makes me feel like I’m in the room with you. I’m an experienced and well travelled cook, but I love that I can learn more from you as well. Thank you ☺️
What an amazing video. I really appreciate that this is approachable. I’m way too new to cooking, but I noticed you described deglazing without ever using the “big scary word”. Thank you for making this accessible! I look forward to watching all of your videos!
I visited India four years ago,and I loved it.Specially the food.I made a video about India and the food on my RU-vid channel:Chef Garcia from Hollywood.

Omg.I live in Hollywood,Florida, and I was dying to get home from work.I had all the ingredients ready to start your recipe, and I made a video for my RU-vid channel:Chef Garcia from Hollywood.I loved the way it turned out. I will mention on my channel, that this was your recipe and that way they can follow you. Thank You so much.
I enjoyed this video. Here's what we try to do to save time and money on meals during the week. 1. Menu plan. 2. Set one day aside to do basic prep work like chopping veggies and organizing things by what you will need on which day. 3. Eat at home. We are in Southeast Michigan in America.
I am your newest fangirl..:-) i grew up in Malaysia and love the food! Now I live in Germany..i just love to cook asian food and have been watching and enjoying your videos! I'm from New Zealand and I follow your recipes religiously because you have so many great tips. I have just run out of my last batch of chilli crisp and I am so sad. I love your egg drop soup recipes too for a quick nutritious dinner
Watching from Winnipeg, Canada and it is 6:00 pm drinking wine before supper and you are making me hungry lol! I love all you vids and you make me wish I could try everything you cook! Drooling here again!
I made the braiaed cabbage and apples w chicken thighs roasting on top instead of using pork... I used the exact same marinade u showed and holy heck was this good. Brilliant way to cook cabbage and all the flavors were absolutely made 4 each other. An absolute keeper.
It’s way beyond my bedtime but woke up to a low 49. Treating that and watching wishing I saw this before I made my husband pork chops for work lunch lol. It’s about 430am.
French gal living in the UK, it's 13pm here on Saturday - I am waiting for my roast chicken and ratatouille to be ready for lunch while I plan my future Asian dishes with Marion :) which by the way, we don't differentiate these dishes for just dinner but lunch too!

They all look great, Marion! BTW, the links for the sticky BBQ Pork Rice Bowl and the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken Rice Bowls aren't working (shows 404) but I was able to search for them on your site. :)
I love your videos. A little question about the movie magic. I've been wondering for a while if you use the same kitchen for every day, experimenting etc. and for the recording of your videos...
I play Russian roulette with padron peppers! Most of them are really good, mild, and kind of nutty, but sometimes you get one that melts your face off. 🤣
I will be making all of these soon! (Minus the mushrooms - those things have never failed to make me gag! LOL!) And, Marion, my teacher Goddess of Thai cooking, I love how easy you make it to follow along, and that you even have a print option! I have made many dishes from you, and plan on putting all of them on your main page, as it will be hard for me to shuffle through all of them, one at a time to post my experiences trying your recipes, which have all turned out GREAT! Thank you, Marion - and Mama Noi (I also make awesome Spring Rolls, thanks to Mama Noi!)
How good does that char siu look! You were poking the pork with your tongs while it was cooking, is it supposed to be springy or stiff? How do you know it’s cooked?
Hi Marion, you found me I'm no-brainer lazy to cook. But I watch lots of RU-vid videos of yours, I telling you are awesome cook. I have lots of years in restaurants experience over 15+ years, special my mama she was running her own restaurant in Germany. Anyway again you amazing cook, thank you and keep bring more awesome videos. Have a nice day😊😉🙃🙂❤️🔥❤️🩹💞
My favorite non- traditional rice bowls are: - sriracha-marinated spicy chicken, shredded carrot, avocado, mango, edamame, cucumber, sesame seeds, spicy mayo and sweet soy topping - Lemon-herb rice with thinly sliced roast beef (or carpaccio beef if you're rich lol, but I prefer deli roast beef), roast bell pepper, fried shrimp (or chicken katsu, friend has seafood allergy), parmigiano flakes, avocado and truffle mayo (It sounds like a mess but it's really good lol) - Mango, pineapple, strawberry (either warm or cold), red chili, shredded carrot, sour cream topping and balsamic glaze/drizzle Plate them individually or mixed up over a large tray, which is always a huge hit at potlucks lol
I make your lemon chicken all the time. I did the food for my nieces party the other week. The lemon chicken was a massive hit. As we're your bbq spare ribs.
Hi Marion.I would like to know at what temperature was the oven at?.It’s the only detail missing.I read all the comments to see if anyone asked about it,and no one did. Thank You.I love your cooking.I’m almost finished editing the video I made about this segment:Four Amazing Rice Bowls.I mentioned they are your recipes so my viewers can watch and subscribe to your channel.Happy Holidays.Chef Garcia from Hollywood on RU-vid.
Trying to find some recipes for my meal prep that fits my rice loving tastebuds 😂 it’s difficult to get salads and wraps and all that in Malaysia cause it’s so expensive. I can make these for a few meals and still be in budget and it’s delicious ❤
Take rice, half hand full of coleslaw mix, whatever protein you want(chicken, beef, pork, shrimp) , fried egg over easy( you need the yolk to be as runny as possible). Add a little soy sauce and chili sauce give it a little toss together in the bowl and consume.
