Sevilla was one of the cities I got to visit during a mediterranian deploymwnt when I was in the Navy. I remember that we were warned to leave the oranges on the trees, that they belonged to the king. thanks for sharing these warm images.
Seville is such a wonderful city. It's 6 years since I was there. Roman, Islamic and Christian all mixed together. I love it. And the most brilliant fereteria (Ironmongers) I ever saw.
Thanks for putting up this lovely video. I moved to Spain just over a year ago with my young son after losing my wife to the big C, and we are not far from Seville. The Spanish way of life is amazing, they are very proud of their herratige, something I feel the UK is fast losing. The gardens take your breath away when you are there in person, gave me great inspiration for my own garden. Please do more from Spain, there's plenty to chose from.
I have long been curious about Seville. This little video helps to place it on my "to do" list, if not on my "bucket list," at least when i am able to travel again, which I anticipate will be within the next year. A beautifully made video, well worth sharing.

Oliver never take the time and experiences with your Dad for granted. They'll remain with you forever! Absorb and enjoy every moment. Memories you can always look back on. I say this as it reminds me of my dear old departed Dad. He used to take us on journeys that at the time we took for granted, we got bored, we moaned and wanted to be back at home with our friends... Years have passed since he left us but those memories are important and cherished. I wish I had spent more time with him. Amazing video John. Great to see the bond you have with Oliver!

I love the architecture and atmosphere on the abandoned island(?) in Seville, I wonder if it was a former exhibition site like I visited in Montreal in 1990, their island was I believe a man-made island built for the world expo in the 70s and then used for the Olympic Games. When I visited I was one of the few visitors, the place was overgrown and I loved exploring among the half-ruined buildings that various nations had built to represent their culture, etc. in the world expo. I have since found out the Island has been "Disneyfied" so I'm glad I experienced it when I did, without the crowds and the commercialism. I've often wondered if these world expos are still taking place (there was also an iconic one in Paris) or if they've stopped. It's like the South Bank festival, so little of it remains apart from the Royal Festival Hall and fountains and garden structures in Battersea Park, when I look at old photographs of these world expos/exhibitions it's so sad to see that virtually everything was dismantled pretty much straight away. PS Oliver is lovely but why does he smoke?! Health is so precious
