Corgis are thicc little fellas. My sister's corgi is 35 lbs of pure muscle, and he's a force to be reckoned with at the dog park. I've seen him try to herd a pack of German Shepherds before. He ended up getting chased down, but not after bodying one of them to the ground lol. I wish I got a video of that
Our Corgi was raised around horses, she was herding them without us even noticing when she was about 8 months old, took off under the fence and begin snapping at the heels of about 6-7 horses herding them into a tight ball. I nearly had a heart attack, but she avoided their kicks..She also killed a family of moles living under one of the stalls..dug them out, mother and babies..shook them and killed them. Bad girl....She has been enrolled in agility classes for over a year now along with Dobermans, GSHs and a few other large dogs..she can manouver as well as they can. After her second class, she was upgraded to a higher level because she learns ultra-fast and loves the competition..they are very active and intelligent.
Dear, funny, smart, mischievous... IF you think you want a corgi keep in mind that: -They shed. And shed. And shed. Need daily brushing. -They'll be UNHAPPY without regular exercise. -They bark when an ant crosses the street. I've had 5 corgis, they're the BEST!
@@Corgi-Co. surely there are rescues for Corgis. I am not a fan of buying an animal especially since there are sooooo many in shelters. Maybe consider a mixed breed rescue with some Corgi genetics. ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!!💯👍😊
@@msscoutshadow there are corgi rescues. And yeah, I agree totally. Almost every breed has a specific rescue(s), and there are more than enough different breeds that need a great home.
@@msscoutshadow a dorgi... Ours is not a rescue but given and we were so grateful, end up to be the most lovable and kind and adorable dog that had come into our life. He is a corgi and dachshund mix and his so adorable just like a corgi.
I didn't know they were also used to hunt rats and mice, but it makes sense. Considering how often my own Corgis would chase squirrels that had invaded their yard. I can't believe they almost went extinct in the '40s. How could someone care so little for these little furry potatos?!
I don't generally like small puppers and didn't care much for the very few Corgis that I have met. But I gotta know say since watching your channel I have kinda come to admire them. Yours are very nice. 👍😊💯🐕
Corgis are the best, they're cute, loving, compact, cute, strong, cute, great family dogs for herding cats... I mean kids, and did I mention cute? Definitely the doggo I want to have when I can get one ^w^
Nope! They’re actually very good at herding and are too low and agile to be kicked. You can probably find videos of them herding? They’re small but mighty ❤
Idk how corgis can be considered herding breeds with those tiny legs. Ik they are but before i looked it up i thought they were bred for hunting rodents
