Four-month-old brothers, Basha and Mango, are growing quickly and are full of energy!
They are also building trust with their keepers, and have already started participating in voluntary training. To receive necessary vaccines, Asian Highlands keepers began injection training with the cubs when they were just a few weeks old. Basha and Mango are proving to be exemplary scholars, eagerly hopping into their training tubes for a tasty meatball while allowing keepers to work on important husbandry behaviors.
Injection training is a foundational behavior that will help these cubs feel confident and in control as they grow up.
Visit Basha, Mango and Anya at the north leopard yard above Australia Walkabout on your next visit to the Zoo.
