The fact he ditched a celeb party and celebrated with his family just shows you how genuine he is. I am SO proud of him, and so proud he's British. He is possibly one of my top 3 favourite male artists ever. Keep doing us proud Sam.❤️

I've been a mum, my son and daughter did that sort of thing, come home from school/uni/work saying they were wacked, slept on the sofa and at bedtime wanted to go out, forgetting they were too tired to do the washing up two hours before. I just laughed and loved Sam more. It's such innocent behaviour. If he was devious and nasty he wouldn't have tweeted.

It's very strange having someone who gave me vocal coaching in secondary school when he was 18 and I was a shy little 12 year old, win 4 Grammys. He was always so nice to us all :)
Ellen is so amazing! She genuinely cares and is the only celeb to give other celebs gifts! Sam Smith is also such a sweet guy! He totally deserves all of his Grammys. He's so humble about everything and I hope he continues to be successful :)
It's so sad that when he thanks the person who broke his heart because now he has Grammys for it, it's funny and brave but when Taylor swift does it she's selfish and mean. What is wrong with the music industry?
Because it's ONE guy who really broke his heart. Same with Adele. When she did it and made a similar speech, no one chastised her for it. They criticize Taylor for doing the same thing because she comes off as having childish/immature relationships with MANY guys and then cries about it.
literally everyone is over the whole "Taylor Swift dating everyone" phase and to those who aren't are being immature. Sam Smith should get praise for being probably one of the most talented people to walk foot in the music industry.
I truly don't understand how someone cannot like Sam Smith! he's honest, genuine, kind, unique, funny, sweet, charismatic, & unbelievably talented! he deserved each & every one of those Grammy's! I love him so much! what a great man!

If one said that once we all be like "awwwhh poor thing" but if that person say it on the next record and again on the next record we all be like 😒 (not hating i like them both)
alice zahng maybe because all Taylor won was a VMA for that song...........Sam won a Grammy. Also because we all knew who Taylor was referring to (Harry) because he was in the audience, unlike in Sam's case, we don't know who he is.
***** Sam Smith will obviously write about future boyfriends, but I highly doubt it will be *numerous* men on *one* album - unlike Taylor Swift, whose songs go through her relationships with more than one man, or it is at least about different aspects of the man in a relationship. At least Sam Smith sticks to a theme, one which actually means something to him and his artistry, and not just people-pleaser lyrics like "We Are Never Getting Back Together" or "Shake It Off" (which isn't about love, I know)
Ellen always gives these cute, silly thoughtful gifts to her guests but you can tell from Sam that he truly appreciated it and was completely genuine about it. That hug at the end between them both got me. Such lovely folks they both truly are. Brilliant. Xx
I love him so much. Just saw him at lollapalooza and told the crowd that because he is over the guy that inspired his songs, they are no longer his songs, but ours. He's so genuine and kindhearted!
Other than the fact that his voice and music is amazing he's loved by so many people because of how genuine. The fact that he didn't go to a celebrity party and decided to just spend the night with his family and friends makes me love him even more.
He is such a sweetheart. I adore his songs. All this beautiful music from a broken heart. This guy who broke it must have done a real number on him for this kind of heartfelt and touching music to be written.
He deserved every single Grammy and so much more. His voice always leaves me in awe. Sam Smith is one of the few artists who has amazing music and can sing well live.
Soo I keep asking myself "he's faking it, he's gotta be, there is no way a human being let alone a celebrity is THIS nice and sweet and amazing and an angel sent from heaven" but...here he is, in all his glory...being the most genuine person I've ever seen....geez where did this guy come from? haha

Sam Smith is one of the most wonderful people I've ever seen. He has such a kind heart, he has a very blessed voice, and he also knows how to act on public TV. When he said "I had to clean other people's crap" he was worried that he wasn't supposed to say that. Very proper of him to ask if he was allowed to, such an amazing man and very inspiring!
For some reason I want him to be my best friend. And like, I want him to win many awards. I've never felt like this before for an artist. I'm actually rooting for his success. XD
