I’ve hung out with some pretty toxic sword fighting folks that did the opposite of what you’re saying here. They were considered great for their time in their field, but now we all look back and don’t have the fondest memories of their behavior. The newer crowd is welcoming, skilled, up for a challenge, and humble. I think being humble goes a long way. Great video for future competitors in all fields!
