Curious of what's going on at 1:45 in the video with the nailer? it appears a rubber gasket is being nailed to the underside.. I thought this was an all metal camper?
The camper has a full Tig welded aluminum frame, with paneling on the underside where they are adding a double bulb rubber seal in the section you are commenting about which does a good job keeping dust and water out. The paneling is more forgiving on your truck bed
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your cars to help you better driving, off-road and adventure. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
Thanks Conrad! I don't think they build one specifically, but you might get lucky like I did as they offer many different production sizes of which one might fit.
Solar/Battery is an option. At this time, Project M starts around $9,700 and goes up close to $20K with all the options added...I was close to this on the squarebody. Some people just get the $375 pre-wire option where you get interior LED lights and wiring harness built into roof for solar, down to the interior ready for a power station. Some people are using their own battery power stations like goal zero or others off amazon, etc
pop up canopy campers are the ANSWER!! light..rugged...'affordable'!! the Four Wheel Canopy Camper...has an 'Advantage' ..because 'other' one's offered are Only...'Wedge' pop up shaped! Nice job! ..would 'consider'!! will have to 'look' at the specs..in more detail!! Cheers from Canada!
Thanks for the comment, and compliment. What you mentioned is one of the key points I often mention. Having that extra ceiling space opens up the living space alot.
Apologize for the late response. I'm not sure, but if you were to take a height measurement of your bike, I could give you height measurements in my truck
It sure does have the original GM 6.2 diesel. The issue was very simple...just an air leak in the fuel system one of the fuel return lines was leaking.
I ordered the identical build (for 8/22 delivery😢). This is the best look I’ve had at it, so thanks for posting. Great looking truck. Happy Trails! Look forward to seeing the buildout.
How do you like your Project M? I have a 2004 ext cab long bed HD 2500 Silverado Duramax that i'd like to do minimalist camper. I don't need a full blown camper. Great truck btw. Love it.
Thanks for the compliment. They should have a size that fits your camper. To make sure, you can send them your truck bed dimensions and Four Wheel Campers can confirm for you. This is what I did
I’ve been searching different products, and by far I like this one, love the set up. I have a 2001 SilveradoZ 71. This is the kind of camper top I’ve been looking for, I’ll be following for more information
I’m glad I found your video and great looking truck! I’ve been looking at these campers and it’s great to see one on a classic squarebody. I have a 1985 K10 Silverado 8 foot bed. It’s the same apple red but with silver 2 tone paint. I’m in the process of building it for adventure traveling and camping rig. Not sure yet if I want the rail mount or a slide in. Looking forward to seeing what you do with your build and how well it works out for you. How was Four Wheel Campers to work with and your classic truck? A lot of places are not interested in dealing with older trucks even if they are very nicely restored.
Thank you very much for the compliments. Awesome you have an 85 squarebody...same setup as mine for sure as far as the camper. Four Wheel Campers was great to work with. The Project M on my truck was actually one of their standard production sizes and I lucked out it happened to fit perfectly! What's nice is even with the 8 foot bed and all the options, camper weighs about 550 lbs so all it did was make the truck ride/handle better with a little weight on the leaf springs.
@@ethanslape8889 working at FWC helping install these for a few months, I can say they actually do...its what they are looking for and how they justify the price.
Sorry for the late reply... thanks for the compliment. I currently have a motor issue and have to swap out the 6.2 diesel for another, so nothing to be envious about currently :)
They start a little over $10K and can go up near $20K depending on all the options. You may want to talk to Mule Expedition Outfitters which has a location in Oregon and I believe they are a dealer as well.
