@@erikmacalusoI just saw them two days ago. I’ve seen FYS at their Enemy of the World album tour a couple years ago and then killed it both time. I was super surprised at how damn good ADTR sounds live. Energy is crazy
@@snallygaster2946 yooooooo that Enemy Of The World tour went craaazy! I went out to Boston to go see them in their "hometown" (they're actually from Worcester, but close enough. It was actually their largest headlining show ever), something I've been trying to do with all of my favorite bands, and then the very next day headed back home to Buffalo NY to catch them in my hometown because that's just how the tour schedule worked out lol. Went to both shows in 24 hours. I rate the experience a FYS/FYS, would do again.
I love their poppier stuff, but this song is badass! FYS has been one of the most consistent bands over the years and I feel like they deserve so much more popularity than they get.
Can’t wait for your review of “uncooked”. Its my favorite song FYS has ever put out and thats a high bar because Enemy of the World was a goated record.
A new band for me, and an absolute ripper; keen to dive into the rest of their discography. Also, you guys should definitely check out the new THECITYISOURS track 'In The Dark'
@@snallygaster2946 I found the re-record totally unnecessary and not nearly as hard hitting. I get it was likely done to get the rights back but I treat it like it doesn't exist because the original was already produced to perfection by Machine. Wish they would've done RODT instead because it sounds so thin
@@manoverboard679I get what you’re saying, though I actually do like the production more in the re-record. I didn’t at first, but it grew on me. More importantly, though, I prefer the re-record because I feel it better supports the artist. I want to help them out, not their scummy old label.
If you notice some of the lyrics, I think the title makes a lot more sense. Particularly the chorus: "Love the way you turn me black and blue/Nobody can hurt me like you do." And then there's all the shots of the two lead singers slumped over, unmoving except for their mouths. One of those even takes place in what looks like a hospital waiting room. I think this song might be about parental abuse.
