Even though this is not like the old FYS with a sick break down and synth.. Its a good song. I will still be at there show showing my support with a fresh beard. Keep it coming boys.
JonnyGruesome ikr. i hate how everyone is hating on them or there old music when the old music is flipping sweet. it rocks. i went to a concert a few weeks ago and it rocked. they played all there old songs 2. fantastic!!!!! THX DAD FOR TAKING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to know how it's "selling out" when this is the sound the band wanted for this album. Selling out is doing whatever the label says, and their label keeps a pretty loose leash, if any.
I actually don't think this album was a huge departure, but that seems to only be my opinion. Hell, I find it LESS different from "Enemy" than "Enemy" was from "Rise". Either way, this song is fucking awesome, and easily as good as the best stuff from the two prior albums for sure.
I don’t see why people are saying the sold out, as people grow older their taste in music changes obviously they are playing music THEY want too, pure and simple
This is only one song from the new album. I like it. Who knows, they can have a mixture of their old sound and there new sound. Every band has to evolve.
if they added like even a mini breakdown then everyone would love. bands change. they always said that they would play music they wanted to hear. This is what they want, and I think its pretty damn good. Also I'm sure the album will have at least one breakdown
Wooo! 90's throwback and some really watery Southern sounding riff. Same tight vocals though. I loved their hardcore elements and the cool riffs/breakdowns, but the biggest thing I loved was the vocal parts. Catchy and sticks in your head.
Guys, c'mon now why is everyone hating on them now. Because they sound different?! They said in their interviews that they try to make each album sound different and that we would get bored with them sounding the same, and I agree with that. They never screwed Josh over, he wanted to work on his side project and other members clearly said that they were moving away from keyboards. All of you that are saying that they're sell outs and all that shit. Guess what your not real Four Year Strong fans
This is Four Year Strong, if you were a fan you would understand that they will rise above your scrutiny. Regardless what you think of them they truly are living out their dreams. People thought they were crazy for doing the 'Explains It All' album, but regardless they did it. As a fan all you can do is support them and learn to grow with their music, not away from it.
@macfushi you're kidding, right? Their voices are part of why FYS is so awesome. They harmonize so well, and it's pretty unique to have two primary vocalists.
Loving the classic rock vibe. Every one of FYS's albums so far have had a different feel and every one has been sick. It's great to see a group whose music evolves but still maintains the same quality!
As usual, some people on youtube feel the need to try and criticise something. Happened with Blink's new songs and NFG's new song, people should just shut up and accept good music. Love this!
It's all about what they wanna play, they just love music, so they wanna play everything and why have to keep playing same stuff just so people dont call them "sell out" or whatever you wanna call it.. haha. In my opinion this is what music is all about.. playing what you want just cause you love playing.
I hope some of the songs will have this sound, but some of the aspects that their old stuff had, like breakdowns and shit that made it a lot of fun to listen to and jam to. I can dig this though
I've been listening to these guys since 2008/09 and onwards. And to be honest, I don't think the change in their stlye is all that different. I mean yes, it is different, but not as much as people are making it out to be. I still love it anyways :)
Might as well be the soundtrack to a movie. Seems like quite a step back, but still, there's no idea what the whole album will sound like. Since this is my favorite band, I'm really hoping they won't disappoint, but I have faith.
To all the people saying they sold out. You have obviously not listen to them long enough. Each album of theirs is different. Rise or Die- poppunk Enemy of the world- Hardcore-ish, i only say "ish" because hardcore now a days is all screaming, where as that album was WAY harder than the last. Now on to this one, a rock sound. Good for them, they know what they want and they do it. It sounds great. Selling out is when they dont do things for them selves and for the label. Get your shit straight!
To anyone saying they're "selling out", get into the music business. It's called forward progression. I guarantee they're still making the music that they want to be playing. I can see this being played on major rock stations once it's pushed there.
I figured fys would move in this direction one day. And I really like it! They never hidhe fact that they always loved 90's rock, and frankly I'm proud of their new sound! Not to say that their older sounds werent awesome, because those were great too.
I think its pretty good that they did what they wanted musically, the one's mad aren't real fans. Support goes with the amazing group of people that provide the music. Thanks personally to FOUR YEARS STRONG for not following the crowd.
I like when people who don't know anything about music argue invalidated points. Get over it, they didn't change for the media and they still kept the pop-punk sound. It's not happy-hardcore anymore, but it's still Four Year Strong.
It does sound a lot like the Foo Fighters. But that's probably one if the best things you could strive for in rock music. Kinda glad a bunch of you guys are saying they suck now. I can probably go to a show and not have to worry about getting karate kicked now.
I actually thought it was a lot like their old stuff...but I might be wrong. Not their old old stuff, but hereoes get remembered and such. Whatever, either way I like it a lot. Really looking forward to the new album.
This is the most adrenaline punk song I've ever heard! Four Year Strong are to be congratulated, they picked up influences like heartland country music and Foo Fighters. Mixing this together, gave this result! Great music for gym workout, auto-racing and work involving body physics! 😎🤩🤘🏻🎧🎶💖
Thumbs up if you think new Four Year Strong sucks. I miss the old easycore style with synth and breakdowns in every song. Now they are just a post grunge mainstream band.
