Fourteen workers at Helam Mine in Swartruggens in North West are still underground following a sit-in that started on Wednesday.
The workers refused to surface after their Tuesday night shift, because of salary disputes with the mine.
The mine has allegedly been paying workers only 50% of their salaries since July.
Mineworkers on the surface and those underground, are demanding the immediate payment of their outstanding salaries.
