Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros has absolutely taken over my FYP. And that means I've seen tons of theories about what's going to happen in the second Fourth Wing book, Iron Flame. I've compiled my favorite predictions...that I think might actually happen.
Will Xaden and Violet make it (in their relationship...and in general)? Are we actually getting Liam back with Andarna's time power? And is General Sorrengail secretly on our side...or plotting against her own daughter? Let's discuss ;)

Hey, what's up, hello! My name is Katelyn and I am a reader/writer/artist/Ravenclaw/person living in the part of the U.S. that is considered to be District 11 or 12, depending on which map of Panem you're looking at.

The only way I would accept another romance is if we did somehow bring Liam back!!! Not even that I wanted him to be with violet but just that the man had so much untapped potential as a character.

Soooooo my theory for Violet being venin, is due to her mom being stabbed or bitten while she was pregnant with Violet and maybe she got affected by the poison. Thus leading to weakened body and silver ends! And her mom WASSS sick while pregnant with Violet!!! 👀

LOVE this theory - it would make sense in the potential theory that her mom is actually part of the rebellion (because she could have came across a venin in a fight)

Thats very true also there's no way Violet's mother killed her father because the very few times she's soften is when thinking about the man she loved. But i think there's a lot more towards her father's death; that Violet's mom is keeping. and she wouldn't kill the one child that reminds her of her father

@@theegreatkatsby I have had the thought of her being in the revolution after reading the document where she begs for the sake of the traitor children not to see their parents execution. And she Is also helping them in the way she can by making Xaden responsible for them instead of letting the children be killed like there parents. The scarring on his back was not a punishment from her but a tradition from Xadens culture. Maybe she had to hunt down and capture all the rebel parents because it was her only way to protect her own children even if she actually didn't want to. 🤔 I also think that Violets dad was executed after that document (if I remember right) where it said that his last words where "you are a bunch of cowards" or something... strange last words for just a heart attack.

the divergent parallels and the hero complex violet seems to have in the same way tris has had me terrified the whole book (and the second which i havent finished) but i thought i was the only one that noticed this!!!!

Okay, I have a crazy theory (SPOILERS) as we know andarna is now a full grown dragon and what I think will happen is Tairn will kind of stray away from Violet and leave her with andarna, don’t get me wrong he’ll still be there to hold the bond in place with Sgaeyl and Xaden and will still communicate with Violet but he’ll let andarna be the “primary” dragon, along with this I think Violet will loose her ability to wield lightning and instead wield light, as we know Xaden commands or wields shadows through Sgaeyl, Sgaeyl is a navy blue dragon (nighttime) and andarna is a golden dragon (light) which leads me to assume Violet will wield light powers, to back this up Violet is seen as compassionate and cunning, but also seen as weak and frail and andarna states “nature likes all things in balance” so giving her incredibly powerful light powers she will be stronger than before. As we know Violet and Xaden are a power couple and by giving Violet light powers it will make the “opposites attract” love story, also we know Violet joins the rebellion and Xaden is kind of the leader of the rebellion (theoretically) so by giving Violet light powers we make a bad ass power couple to lead the rebellion to victory. Let me know what you think of this unhinged theory ❤❤❤ (I MADE THIS UP)

I love it!! I'm a huge Andarna fan!! - but instead of losing the lightning ability, maybe it'll just expand to other forms of light? I do think I'd be sad if we see less Tairn though hahaha his grumpy grandpa demeanor is my favorite 🤣 I love the point about the shadows vs light thing though - I hadn't thought about it that way, but it's so true!

@@theegreatkatsby thanks, I really want to see how Violet and Xaden further interact with each other because we know Xaden love her but Violet is kind of pushing him away, maybe if she does gain light powers she could go to Xaden for training because light and shadow welders are the same? Idk really excited for *iron flame* tho it’s gonna be great! ❤️❤️❤️

@@theegreatkatsby another thing is, ppl at Basgiath say it was unfair Violet got two dragons even with andarna being only small, so if andarna is bigger now and able to fly Violet into battle and channel a signet into her then another riot would start. Ppl might also figure out about feather tails and how they are only hatchlings which is a major problem. ❤❤

@@Phaseria ahh that makes sense! Also, I saw a theory that Andarna's parents might be alive and she's just hiding who they are because they are so powerful, so if she can channel AND we get Andarna's parents back, we'd have a *very* powerful squad (which would definitely cause more riots haha)

This is such a great video. I have heard a few extra theories: 1) that all rebel kids have 2x signets - Imogen (Speed and Memory Wiping) - Liam (Farsight and Ice Wielding) 2) Xaden is intinnsic Tairn says 'Don't try to read me' & in some passages in the book Xaden responds to Violets thoughts (not thoughts she's sent him i.e. not in italics). 3) Xaden dies in the end - he always says 'you'll be the death of me Violet'

06:14 I've read somewhere else that Imogen has done this in one of the chapters (27 I believe) when they're by Mira and they get attacked. When they got there Imogen was among them, and when they fled, they didn't say Imogen got back savely. Another clue for that is that Voilet says that Xaden came with a fuller backpack thinking he grabbed the first few things he saw (but could be the weapons they snuck out).

I feel like the story with end with their deaths. Like, no matter how much we all hate it, I believe Xaden will be the one to die, one way or another, and drags Violet down with him. But on the other hand, I really like want to see Xaden and Violet as parents. Like, I will kill somebody if I don't get that scene.

SPOILERS FROM IRON FLAME....IF U HAVEN'T READ IRON FLAME SKIP THIS THEORY!!!!!! One of my theories is that we all know how at the end of Iron flame xaden becomes a venin and earlier in the book in both fourth wing and Iron flame there was a mention of xaden's mother out of nowhere....when violet's still unconcious after Resson we know how xaden mentions that ever since his father died he didn't know what it was like to be loved and his mom...he leaves it there just mom and in Iron flame he mentions that his mum left after he turned 10 so I feel like there is a very huge possiblity that maybe his mum knows to somehow cure someone who turned venin if they haven't been venin for long and have not been fully affected then she can cure them that would be a really cool plot twist Another theory is that since Andarna is a seventh species, a special dragon the power she channels into violet is either time travel or unlimited power.....if you've read powerless you'd know how kai's power was to take the power from the people around him...they can still channel but so can he with THEIR power so I think violet is going to have a similar power....or she can channel power from the people around her as well as powers that are not around her or have not been known for the long time like distance-walker which hasn't been known in centuries but she can still channel that power smth like that would be mind blowing

My theory was she could go back in time. However at the end of the book we read that Andarna doesn’t have that power and is huge. So if she doesn’t have that power and is a rare golden dragon she may have special powers that she could transfer to Violet. Violet doesn’t die in my opinion, but the mother being a part of this whole thing, I believe! Or the mother could also be part of the rebellion!!! 🤯

I'm holding onto the hope that Andarna has just exhausted her powers from using them so much/the energy it takes for her to grow so quickly - and that she gets them back and we can use her time powers!! I would be SO interested to see her mom as part of the rebellion!

My personal theory is that if Fourth Wing’s title is named after something very important in the book, so is Iron Flame. I like the theory that Violet is part Venin. Maybe her venin channeled power is the Iron Flame. They say normal fire cant kill venin or their dragons, but what if the Iron Flame, which Violet could channel, is the only flame able to cause damage to the venin race….

I have a theory that Andarna looks like a prism and can be almost transparent like a diamond. A prisma or white light have all the colors collected together... which explains why Andarna can change her color. ..There was also runes in shape of Diamonds in the middle of the pillar that kept the barrier up.

Ok so it's probably not going to happen but I think it would be pretty cool if Iron Flame was all in Xaden's POV and the last chapter being Violet's POV so opposite of Fourth Wing. It's most likely not happening but it would be pretty cool.

No i vehemently disagree with theory number one because I think that book one would've introduced the real endgame in book one and it certainly isn't Ridoc. I think Violet had to have written the books before they were transcribed.

I think Violet's 2nd signet will be that she is an intinnsic - and Andarna will have to stay "secret" - which is why she was allowed to bond as a feathertail. Thus - grounding the intinssic power locks Dain out of her mind and allows her to beat General Melgrem in the end. I think Violet's mom is a double agent - playing a deep, long game, trying to do the right thing and the storm was her preparing to use it to keep Violet from falling off the parapet, but looked like the opposite.

my theory was that her father may be part venin (because of her hair) and her mother knew. Maybe in some sick way to gain even more power by channeling venin power and still keep control. Her father start being sick after brennan leave, I thought that maybe it is because her brother knew about the father and was mending him so he didn't turn completely but since he left he begin to change and lilith had to kill him to hide her secret.Then force violence to go into the rider quadrant so she dont find her secret lying with the scribe... But after the video, im not sure what to think, I still did not finish iron flame too.

Ohh gotcha - last couple chapters of Iron Flame might change a few of your thoughts! But I could SO see Brennan trying to figure out how to heal their dad, and that being a reason he's ended up where he was!

ooh good point - I struggle with where I put Dain because I saw them more as friends where I sort of see Sam as an enemies to lovers situation, which is how I felt with Xaden, but overall I'm hoping Xaden is endgame anyway 😅🤣

I would be interested to see that!! But I think that would mean we have to pull off the rebellion and defeat the venin in Iron Flame and idk if we can get all that done in one book haha

i don’t personally think violet will die (bc my soul is not emotionally prepared to handle that theory). i just think that the scribes are the ones who write the history and maybe in the 5th book, i’m assuming the arc includes a rebelling/uprising. in the aftermath of all of that, violet would probably be too busy doing other things because her time in the rider’s quadrant made strategy and physical strength her wheelhouse, whereas jesina’s skill set is strongest in scribing. idk if that made sense but if she dies it definitely will not be mid series that would be fucking WILD.

Xaden and Violet are endgame… Yea they’re together but will be apart maybe for book 3 and 4.. Violet might be with someone else for a short time and in book 5 everything will sort itself out.. My main concern is will both of them survive in the end?? I remember the divergent series all to well… I do believe they both will but I’m not 100% sure of course 😂

Honestly I think the book series will end with Violet and Xaden dying...but they save Navarre and Poromiel. In order to keep all the rebellion children and the people of Aretia alive, they will need to overthrow King Tauri and his generals. Because as soon as they find out that Aretia is being rebuilt, they are going to kill all the rebels. They need to overthrow Navarre's current leadership before this happens. I believe Xaden Riorson will be the leader of the rebellion. And Im pretty sure the secret of Feathertails will be found out and the King and the generals will then try to get into the Vale to kill them for their power. Because its stressed so much how important it is that no one else knows about Feathertails...also with Adarna growing so fast, I doubt they wont notice. (Again I cant help but wonder why they let a feathertail bond knowing that they grow and change so much before becoming an adult. It seems like a surefire way to expose this secret.)

Okay SOOOOOOO after the whole thing with Iron Flame, Imma have to point this out Im pretty sure that there are far, far too many physical differences between normal people and Venin for anyone to be mistaken about her mom being one, like im pretty sure they're described as weird veiny zombie looking weirdos. And how Wyvern come about isn't the best when it comes to explaining, but I'm certain that her dragon would also change to some degree as well
