That's a cool video, it looks like he has a lot of similar interests to me, I like to ride ATVs and operate equipment too. I'd like to do more work on engines because I find it pretty interesting, although on the ATV I fixed it was mostly electrical work and I didn't have to dissect the engine to fix it, but I replaced a lot of stuff besides wiring. It was quite a large project to tackle as it was only my second repair project like this (first one was rewiring our excavator), but might as well start big! Whatever future repairs I do will seem small by comparison, I do actually have a couple dead lawn mowers I plan to fix to practice working on engines, so I should do a time lapse that.

Hey I know it’s kinda late for this but a simpler solution to the water trough icing is taking a half gallon carton and filling it half way with salt water
Thanks for the suggestion, we've actually tried that before with salt water containers placed inside the larger water dish, but from our experience that's only worked about 5-10 degrees below freezing. This past winter, the weather got down to -16 degrees and we often have single digits as well, so electric heaters seemed to work best because we would have a guarantee that the water was drinkable for the animals
Great videos! Love the detail and the amount of work you're putting in! One recommendation; when putting electrical underground, put a layer of colored plastic above it so you know it is there when you go digging again. Keep up the good work!
