Except the cops could have flatlined him 5 times and would have gotten away with it. So if it was a real call and someone was actually about to kill hundreds of people, you think the cops should sit there and figure out if it's a prank call before reacting? They're obviously not going to shoot Fousey unless he shows signs of aggression, but they have to be ready for anything when someone calls in something serious like this.

They’re not going to waste any time trying to find who did it, they don’t care. Even if the cop said they’re going to try, they’re lying.

Yes, but it also makes sense, considering the times we live in. Some crazed person could very well be sitting in their car, armed, about to commit a mass shooting. They should be able to trace the caller’s information and get charged for doing this to people tho too.

You're not thinking of all the times that they get these calls and they're actually legit. It's a tough situation regardless. But the only thing wrong with this situation is the false calls. The police have a job to do and want to return home safe just like everybody else. This is a good example of how you deal with it if you're being wrongfully swatted. Fousey did a great job of complying with the cops and making them know that he was not a threat.

It's most likely multiple people making multiple calls and being super dramatic about it to the point where the police actually believe whatever they're all saying. It's not just one person or one call...

bro it’s police protocol they have to follow it and what if there was an actual guy in there with a weapon. The cops are scared out of there minds in these kinds of situations and it’s always good to be sure and safe.
