What a hoot! When you said that Brendan was going to take his aunts to the new space, I thought you meant 'aunts.' I thought it was so sweet that Bren was going to show his sweet aunties the new work space. I almost did a spit take when I realized that the big headed ant was an actual ant. We may also go to Massachusetts so I have been getting as much stitching done along with the states I will visit. Thanks for the idea as using it as a travel piece. Enjoyed the video. I hate to tell you but Phoenix area has massive red light runners, so always look both way even after the light is green. However, LA traffic is worse. I hope you plan on going to Sedona/Flagstaff/Grand Canyon. Flagstaff is cooler and beautiful as well. Lots of trees and mountain. I am happy to be a part of your new Patreon!

I had to laugh on the comments of temperatures here in the Sonoran Desert. At least summer school is in August. The temperatures typically drop by a whole Fahrenheit degree in August if we have a true wet summer monsoon season. Try the little scissors. They are surprisingly sharp and they are so lightweight that they stick to the needle minder which I find convenient stitching on the plane.

You'll be fine driving in LA, it's stressful more than anything. LAX is out by the ocean, down by Marina del Rey so book a hotel close to the coast and you won't have to get into the heart of the city/traffic. And then you can just hop on the freeway and head out to Arizona, no problem. Incredibly jealous that you are going to Summer School with all the cool kids, it'll be such a wonderful time. And what a lovely birthday, you have wonderful friends. Such thoughtful gifts! But best of all is the story of Sarah Moon, how incredibly cool. That really has to move to the top of your start list!

That's so cool about that sampler being from your ancestor, Karen! I've wondered about that with my family. My mom says we were too poor for that because everyone had to work the farms. haha I'm really interested to dig into our European ancestry at some point and see what I can find!

My goodness what a packed video! I am so glad the pups could finally settle down after the air show was over. I have medical helicopters fly over my house and what a racket they make so I can't imagine low flying jets buzzing my roofline! Happy birthday Karen! Sounds like the new space is shaping up. So glad you found another plumber. What a story the other fellow was trying to feed you! How fantastic that is about the Sarah Moon sampler! That is just crazy cool! Now you know why stitching is in your blood!

You might want to rethink leaving it going while you are gone. We had one at my salon and it would sometimes get stuck someplace. We ended up using it while someone was there to keep an eye on it.

Love that you got into Summer School, I live in the Phoenix area and you are brave but we Don’t have to shovel the heat.. and it’s a dry heat.. truly. Oh, how wonderful to be related to a sampler pattern that you have wanted to stitch for so long, it must feel amazing. You will have to include your information on the back when you have it finished. I can't wait to see your new place all finished and to be able to see the operation would be something that I would enjoy to no end. I worked in an machine embroidery house for 30 years in the testing department with all the new logos and garments that the company sold . I love all things fabric, thread and patterns. You made me laugh out loud when you were talking about the "new" antics that your sweet puppy has acquired! Bored, they will find many ways to get your attention, for sure! Downton Abbey is my favorite of all time, I have all the videos and I rewatch at least once a year. I can not wait to get my hands on this latest one. I am still a little not wanting to be in crowds, so I will wait on the video release. So much entertainment this time, I totally love your flosstubes!!
