Hi Tym. I bought the fox frontier x after seeing your 1st review on it. I did 2 weeks in France this June and it was brilliant. Thanks for the great tips. Next year's France trip is already booked . Cheers Tym. Best tip for me was the all the door arrangements
Hi thanks for the comment, pleased you like it and yes awesome bivvy, I’m debating wether to save up for the extension now for my France trip next year,, Cheers👍
brilliant video fella everything you mentioned i find my self doing the same iv the xd, probably the best bit of kit iv had in years to be honest fox have naild it with this product. 😀
Do most of these myself to be honest. But using the guide ropes as a washing line and vapour peak velcro straps as rod retainers are new to me and certainly be using them. Cheers for the tip, very helpful.
All great tips mate The frontier is a great bivvy l think the tip to use the velcro as extra rod older's is great never thought of that Cheers Mate Thanks.
Hello from Ukraine! thank you for these useful tips. I think that frontier is best bivvy, dream of my fishing life. The best tips for me is about using extra straps for rods and extra storage on the top of the bivvy. Its very simple, but no everyone know about it. Good luck! Really glad to take part in giveaway.
Haven’t really got a favourite tip as they’re all really good but if I had to choose one then it would be the guy rope washing line. Very informative, thanks for sharing. 😊
Nice little video mate i like the tip of holding the 3 poles and throwing the vapour peak over then pushing in poles and away u go ive got a trakker bivvy to be honest but i actually put the skull cap on the same as u do its the easiest way cheers tightlines
Best tip For me has to the the avid quick-change adaptors on the storm poles. I sae them on your original one with the bivvy and was impressed. I now have a set on mine 👌
Hi hope your well and still catching The avid quick locks will make another appearance in the coming months in something else I’m going to review Cheers
My favourite tips, not just tip, using the straps for the peak as rod retention straps 👍, using the guy ropes on the Eyelet to Barrow for a washing line 👍 and a probably my favourite was only using the middle toddle to keep the vent flaps up and under - saves lots of time and effort that tip does - and also can’t tell the difference 8))) Cheers and please keep them coming,,,, Can’t wait to see the ‘Expensive’ Extension when you get that 8))) 🤘🏼
Cheers for comments as for the extension front££££££££££ I’m not sure if I can afford it😂😂 think fox should send me one😂 Peak straps are game changer mate Cheers
Like your video on these tips. A question can you leave the zip up front panel when you take it down or do you have to remove it. Thinking of buying an X
My favourite tip was folding the vapour peak and throwing it over I always get it wrong I put magnetic connections on my poles first time I used it. Great tips though😊
I’ve got the trakker oval v2 bed and it fits perfect like a glove to the back of the bivvy as it’s not a perfectly flat back the shape of the oval bed is honestly such a good fit
@@TymsCarpTv got down there start of month for a 1 night james gave me the whole lake for the night apart from that not been out much health problems I'm on a 48 hr with 1 of me boys at old mill on the 30th so looking forward to that
I was lucky to win a frontier in a competition and I’m so impressed with how good it is I also use about 6 of your tips I use the strings near the door to hold bits like my head touch and towel 👍🏻
Hi Tym. I've just purchased frontier x, and I've realised I need a degree in zips. I also sleep with the door open most of the time. If it rains I shut the door, or if the mozys are a pain the mozy mesh will go on. Is there any way of continuing to two doors so there guick and easy to use. Thanks Steve
Hi I only use the main door on the front panel and it’s open all the time unless it rains if it not windy I don’t zip it up I stick the Velcro together that way in the night I don’t need to find a zip just push it open I have been thinking about a mozi full front but I do prefer the full front and can open vents on that so it’s sort of like a mozi front, it’s just playing around with it mate to find what works for you Sorry couldn’t be more help Cheers👍🏼
@@TymsCarpTv cheers for getting back to me. I live in Manchester so not to many good places that I know of. Might come down to your end and try some lakes out.
@@tradingwizard8057 there’s quite a few good lakes north Lincolnshire which isn’t a million miles away have a look east of you and down a bit I’ve not fished much up that way only mark pitchers lakes wainestone pools
Hi wounding if u can help in any way is the Fox Camolite Ruckall any bigger than the Nash Subterfuge Rucksack as in the Main compartment had the Fox R Series Standard was to big or would u suggest something similar out Fox an Nash ??
Hi there Tim on the inside or is Tim on the outside 😂anyway yeah I had the original frontier and brought the camo version also love it brilliant bivvy I pretty much knew most of the tips except the washing line didn’t think of that one good little idea mate 👏🏻quality as usual mate tight lines be lucky 🎣🎣
Thanks for comment, yes I think a lot of people who have used them for awhile will know most of them but thought I’d do video for people who have just recently bought one to help them out all about helping each other mate Cheers👍🏼
Definitely tip 13 vapour peak storage and usage so simple but quick and keeps everything in good condition I’m all about speed in my fishing so being able to get things done and as quickly and efficiently as possible in addition being able to take care of your gear on the bank 🐳🔥☠️
Great video. How do you find the frontier copes with condensation although an internal vapour shield ? My favourite tip is actually a simple one and that's the orientation of the bed. I've never thought about putting it on an angle but I suppose that's because we all normally conform to the norm which is pushed back straight against the back of the bivvy!
I have the frontier and vapour peak and done around 10 nights in it so far from spring, summer and now into autumn and haven’t had any condensation inside when using the vapour peak yet. Hope that helps 😁
Hi Tym, is it possible to pack the bivvy away with the vapour peak still attached or does it need to come off? the frontier looks like it ticks all the boxes other than the overwrap not having any vents in - are you still using the frontier X and happy with it? thanks
Hi I always take the peak off never tried leaving it on only takes seconds to put on I’ve not got the overwrap so can’t comment on that one sorry But I do have the porch extension, review on that coming in about 4 weeks as I’m working on the video now Yes still using the frontier I love it Thanks tym
can you show us setting up? i have the frontier x and when i have it set up it still has a bit of rock no matter how many different ways i try where my friends titan is solid just want to compare your frontier x, loved the video
In my play lists I did a set up video As for rocking I’ve never had that problem it’s solid as I said in video I’ve got 5-6 mates that have them aswell and no problem Once set up how do you peg it down
I fold the top arms in first then fold the bottom sections in and roll it up then wrap tension strap round it all to keep it in place Main thing is take your time Cheers
Hi mate, just got the frontier lite and it’s easy to put up but putting down I feel I’m doing something wrong.. any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated 🤞🏻👍🏻 top tips by the way will be sure to use them👌🏻
@@TymsCarpTv it’s not the putting down it’s the packing away in bag I feel I’m doing something wrong, as there is a arm that sits next to the block.. unsure whether that’s right or not.👍🏻
@@adamfarley8982 ok Well what I do is lay it flat on the ground break down the main poles then fold them flat against each other the other poles the front 3 I flatten them against the rib poles then holding them tight together I roll it all up so bivvy holds them together then wrap tension strap round it all to hold it while putting the bag If you still struggle send me an email on tymscarptv@gmail.com And I’ll do a video for you Hope that helps Cheers
Hey tym, New viewer here. Trying to decide on a new bivvy as I currently have a titan T1 but want another (better and wider) bed and this looks great. You ex military by any chance? Great tips too. I know I’m way too late for the giveaway but not worried about that - like the little stash place in between skins. Great for a waterproof jacket at night so you’re out the bivvy and can grab it quickly. New sub here mate! Have you bought the extension yet? Almost as cheap to build one out of bricks and mortar 😂 Cheers again. Mart.
Hi Thanks for comment I’m still using this bivvy and still no problems I still love it I’ve not got the extension yet it’s on my list in future🤞🏼 I would recommend you find a store that has them up on display and try the bed in it if your in any doubt but if there’s none near you go online and look up sizes of bivvy and your bed I have spent time with RE 😉 If I didn’t have my winter bivvy I’d definitely buy the extension for more comfort and protection in the winter but my winter bivvy is still going strong and I have a two man for France Hope this helps Cheers👍🏼

Hi thanks for the question I’ve had quite a few bait boats over the years big and small There’s so many on the market at the moment it’s a mine field I’m currently using the angling technics procat mk3 Nice small stealthy boat and small and light to carry on barrow If I was to do a review it would have to be on this one as it’s the only one I have now So yes I’ll try and do one nearer December as I’m busy most weekends leading up till end of November Cheers👍🏼
