On today’s episode, we decided to store the ice fishing gear and pull out the boat and long rods in search of some Fox River walleye! We had an absolute slay fest with plastics and jigs and had a consistent day of fishing with a few decent walleyes! Enjoy!

I would definitely recommend fishing De Pere and Oconto from shore. Your best chances are definitely to go either early morning or evening as the sun starts to set

Yeah or a slow rise while keeping your line tight, they typically hit it on the fall

Would you assume that the spawn will occur a few weeks earlier than usual? I have always gone out in Late March and early April. What are your thoughts?

With all this warm weather we’ve been getting and still projected to be getting, I’m thinking it’ll start within the next week or two, especially if the water temperature keeps rising the way it has been

How is the water temp and how many people on the shore fishing off the island?

Water temp was sitting around 36 degrees and there were a few people fishing from the island, not too many wading off it tho

Any chance the guy who couldn’t catch fish in the afternoon touched something or put something on his hands?? I have seen walleyes turn off from getting gasoline, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, bug spray, brake fluid, and skin oils from your hands or wiping your forehead, etc. on your hands. Have to be careful what you get on your hands.
