Loved the original version with Neil's wife and Emmy Lou Harris doing the background vocals, but Maggie's voice takes this to another level. It's not too often that a cover is actually better than the original. But then I was super surprised to find another cover that's equally as good as this one: AJ Lee and the Comatose Brothers. Maggie is my favorite of the Foxes. She has such a perfect, clear and sweet voice. I think Chase came in temporarily when Maggie was busy with other obligations. But in my opinion, despite her good voice, to me she is unnecessary in this band. Maggie and Sammy could easily carry the band. They did it before and I'm sure they could do it again. My all time favorite Maggie song is their cover of Tom Petty's "American Girl" live at the Taco place patio. Maybe you could do a reaction video to that song?
Tim was going to end the project after summer 2014 with Maggie working in Nashville in addition to college, but they had heard Amy's music student Chase sing at a high school music event and Scott suggested they ask her to join and keep F&F going. She wasn't a temporary replacement as their was no intent to continue beyond 2017.(all 3 girls in Nashville then) Reuniting for studio recording in late 2019 was Maggie's idea after the RU-vid channel started to gain views and subs, they decided they would regroup if everyone was included,so both Maggie and Darwin returned at that time.
This was the first video of them studio recording and fans had asked to see what that was like so Tim left occasional bits of behind the scenes in the videos. All edited out on the CDs/downloads.
