Shane Lee Listen, first let me say that I served in the Marine Corps. My brothers/sisters were and are of all races. But the ugly truth about racism is this, nobody can tell people who have suffered by another group to move on. No, we cannot move on when you have a president who says that he wants to make America great again. What era is he talking about and what people are included? I served in the military, came home, started a business, and still I feel nervous when a cop gets behind me. ( And two of my siblings are police officers)..... Personally, I don't have time to blame or hate anyone. If I did it wouldn't change anything. But I can't tell anyone to forget the past. 17 years ago terrorists attacked our country. Should we ever move on and forget that? Should we forget Pearl Harbor? Who am I to tell the Native Americans to forget about The Trail of Tears and move on? You can say Asian countries belong to people of Asian decent, you can say Africa belongs to people of African decent, and so on. Whites as a minority. Many of us watched the statistics, the causes, and the quiet gains in population by people of color and realized that we, Whites, were dropping in numbers. So many Whites act like this was a conspiracy. They are frightened of people with darker skin pigmentation. As a majority, Whites have had an excuse to consider those in the minority as lesser... less White, less intelligent, less motivated, and less human. We have taken our privilege for granted (a few closely guarded it, while others flaunted it). I am going to be happy to be part of the White minority.

Also, lets not forget about the hundreds of thousands of white people who were enslaved in Northern Africa and many still are today... slavery was the way of the world for thousands of years. No nation is guilt free of this... it just so happens that we have now finally gotten enlightened enough to where this doesn't happen anymore.
