Ah yes...the days of the long QRF...me and my Silverhand crew were driving from hotspot to hotspot putting out fires and shorring up weak spots..shells were low across the front... It was truly an intense couple days. RIP Nelly the Silverhand. Drowned due to server lag àfter 19 enemy vehicles kills and 46 assist. You will be missed.
Every time you are playing Wardens and the Colonials begin to push you back: Alright Lads! You need to kill 1 tank and 6 infantry each in order to make up for our lack of manpower. I joined today, and I learned that real quick.
War 83 gives me PTSD. I spent the entire War defending and delivering to Loch Mor. We lost it overnight and no matter what we could NOT take that back.
Do you even know how many times chicken nugget changed onerships? It was a fucking disaster! the entire time, everyone was crying while shooting colonials, just because they've beem there, and done that almost every other day! my CL even just left the region, cause our men could not handle any more bridge fights!!! we literaly had a decrease in clan activity due to fucking nugget... tempest held the entire war, while every other frontline collapsed 1 after another... props to colonials, they fucking dug in like the damned leaches... Worst part, the entire map is bascily in favor of south! each northen side, of the map, is so simple to build up, and fortify, while south side were the goblins reside, is bearly able to fit any defenses! Tempest is easiest to push from the south, and almost inposible to take from the north. and MoiDwang's vid captures it very well.

"I do not GIVE A FUCK if you have to spawn kill them, you light them THE FUCK UP!" God I love this series
This is insane. Reminds me of a few ww2 stories where one company or regiment is left to hold a vast line spread as thin as can be so war efforts could be focused on elsewhere. Under constant shelling and running out of supplies they hold the line for months until they can finally get some relief. God bless the royal spuds
I know editing takes a long time and is alot of work... But if you ever wanted to release these faster and feed my addiction to em you're more than welcome :P
@MoiDawg We love the work you put into these. I first joined this channel for your Squad content and was excited to also see you dropping into Foxhole. This War 83 war diary series is great; we appreciate the work you put in editing to make it look so nice… but please, take a couple days for R&R over the holidays, so you don’t burn yourself out.
I'm a green Colonial, saw my first combat in war 86. I just want to say thank you for being the final push to play this game. On my first day I played a role in taking Spitrocks Relic Base and making it green, and more then anything, I got to fire the shot that finalized our victory there. With the Warden's on the back foot we made a push for the Town Base of Maiden's Veil, we were so close to taking it too, to the point we knocked it out of Warden control, but our team got greedy and tried to push for the nearby safehouse before we were ready, and Maiden's Veil was firmly back under Warden control not long after. All I can say after that, is that this game is a keeper.
Me and my mates (3 people) did logi for the whole war to supply a big hail mary push in the east. as soon as we saw the clans mobilizing for a landing in godcrafts we knew it was time. we dumped everything into public at the Liar's Haven Seaport and got to the front. we supplied 3 ballistas, 25 falchions, 720 40mm and 180 250mm along with obscene amounts of small arms. it felt so surreal driving our tanks through Isawa after weeks of trading nugget island back and forth. it was well worth the weeks of work to play a small part in that moment of glory.
8:40 Some helpful advice, if your SH is tracked and needs repairs and there's only infantry. It's better for the AT-gunner and spotter (if you have one ) to get out to repair, as you want the 40mm to be killing any infantry that may threaten your tank. Anyways I'm enjoying the series Moi, super interesting to see what was happening in other regions during war 83.
I bought foxhole 3 days ago and since then it has taken up a large majority of my free time. You're videos have helped me understand the game a bit better. Thanks!
Everytime you release one of these I feel passionate about Foxhole again and fall in love with it again then I load it up and last about five minutes hahaha.
A tough fight for Blackwatch. I lost my gunner due to D/C and had the honour (unfortunately) of being tracked as we began the retreat. Still made a for a tense moment trying to hug the cliff and expose the Collie infantry to blasts from our other tanks. The Exile Bridge/Blackwatch Townhall push was so tense too in that storm, couldnt see ANYTHING and always saw monsters in the dark...
just joined this war and we owned the partisan island area at 4am this morning (26th December). At 12pm this morning we do not own that area and hold the last bits of fisherman island bearly. As a newbie i want to the hex above at Skuller and got a captured colonial tank which couldnt do much. Got a mortar tank but my field of view wasnt great and it was destoyed. This blizzard weather really takes a toll on operations. The Colonials are really pushing the Wardens back.
I remember the panicked flashbacks of War 77 experienced by many of our fellow Wardens in the height of this Colonial Counteroffensive! We beat them back luckily, but man morale is a fragile thing in this game. P.S. Are you gonna make vids about War 84 or just skip to 85 or 86?
I almost quit just from all the defeatist chat, I'm playing to have fun and listening to that all the time ain't fun. Everyone was all 'We're absolutely smashing them!', then as soon as they start to put up resistance and push back slightly they immediately start shouting 'We're gonna lose! They're gonna push us right back! OMG what is everyone doing?!'. They don't seem to realise all they're doing is making defeat more likely.
This was amazing. The dispair, the knightly honor and heroic courage. This is more epic than most movies made in the last 3 years. Man this is just a game and and I can only help but think of the "Green Wolves" of belgium fighting against the Blitzkrieg in the Ardennes forest.
Love these videos Moi, a nice change of pace from Squad. The layout of these videos is great, the way the story is being told, it makes me feel personally invested in the war myself.
Whenever a tank blows up it gives me the feeling of "Oh shoot, these guys might be f*cked." And it also gives me a proud feeling knowing I'm a proud collie loyalist.
Man i wish i had enough commitment to join a clan in foxhole. I mostly just run around as a medic on defensive. Would be fun to be part of a coordinated attack whether that be as infantry or as a combat medic.
dear MoiDawg, can you please point subregions with arrows when you talk about them? 2:23 segment was awful flood of names that have NO indication of their position on the map!
I tried to buy foxhole with the steam sale yesterday but found myself unable to play due to hardware problems. Unfortunately i had to refund and couldn't join the glorious warden empire... So i kind of feel like a dog with a big bone dangling in front of him all the time now. Thankfully this amazing series keeps me in the right mood. Show these barbaric colonials who's boss! Don't let them eat any more babies! I hope everything turns out good for you guys. (I know this war is over but please no spoilers). If only these episodes where more frequent.
Hello @MoiDawg, this series has been released near weekly and I have really looked forward to it. Did you lack enough footage for the last episode (the conclusion I assume), or have you just been occupied elsewhere? ^^
And so they learn fighting offensively in slow-turning silverhands in a chokepoint, with little screening infantry, in a blizzard, against push guns rendered largely invisible by the weather, is a bad idea. I'm not trying to be insulting, I'm just honestly amazed they didn't all die. Even 50% casualties is very light in that situation. Most armor tends to just stay in depots when the devs decide to crap on us with stupid snow, or defend choke points. It's essentially their way of slowing down the war and making everyone miserable. In the end they did the right thing and just hunkered down, its a shame it took so many destroyed tanks to reach that point but hey, we all have to learn at some point.
fuuuck that son. Heavy blizzard is the time for divisions of fast light armour to go wreckingball :D Dunno about you but when the blizzards start HoC armour and motorised come out to play. Its great gameplay whether smashing the backline in a blizzard or hunting enemy armour. It only works in certain regions tho tbf. Farannac the first winter army update with the t5 blizzard is great example. If your in southern Loch Mor its also good times. Buuuut yeah, pushing SVHs with no inf over rough terrain in blizzard bad idea. SVH should only exist inn a conventional tank line battle on flat ground. I personally prefer squadrons of LTs or stolen Kranescas for this sort of work.
I don't understand why you always have these big Tank Blobs in the tightest of corners. And even on open ground Tank Player keep standing in each others way. Also where's the support? Mortars or Artillery? Anything that would potentially suppress enemy infantry groups?
I'm confused, you show scenes of you using artillery emplacements but don't support your tank push with them? Swap out one of your tank crews for an artillery crew and You'll have a far easier time. A single well crewed gun can put out a round every 4 seconds, and the constant bombardment rolling ahead of you will kill some of the rushers, decrew field guns, track enemy tanks and clear defenses. Especially with 150mm. Artillery is the hand of god that will smite your enemies and leave the remnants for your tanks to clean up.
Players Are Pros and People who do not see a Tree behind their TANK :D Driving into them Constantly It is just W and S not so Hard to do but again People want to Drive badly that is the Downfall
When you do not See Much Infantry is Key to Play or many MG Positions against them so you are more likely to Defend than Attack.. Next time Attack other Locations with better Weather
I like your narrative style but watching you try to push a tight mountain pass with six undercrewed SH three layers deep and no infantry was physically painful...
