lyrics Again in summer beds We found ourselves floating Burning up into the night Tangled to tethered lines Our limbs mixing tails No longer landlocked or tired of trying To extend beyond our limited reach Because I've been wearing this albatross Around my neck And you've been wrestling With broken bones And bottled ghosts But I still see you golden And I know with love grows And I know our limbs glow
Thank you. I never looked up the lyrics. I assumed the lyrics of the 1st verse wrongly, but mine had the same meaning, due to the sound conveying most of the feeling. I thought it was " it's on our backs" instead of "in summer beds". To me, that meant "trying to sleep while sweating"... same same but different. Also I thought it was "always missing tales", instead of "our limbs missing tails", like forgetting we have a tailbone. "In" instead of "on" but that was inconsequential. Great work.
Oh, also I thought it was "broken bones, and clavicles" but I always assumed that most of our broken bones come from lies we tell ourselves from "bottling up ghosts" as it were.
