Is a Gameweek 1 Bench Boost strategy viable? Whilst it’s typical for Fantasy managers to wait for a Double Gameweek before utilising the chip, there are some merits of getting it out the way early. Most notably, it means you can focus entirely on your starting XI when putting together a Wildcard team later in the season, without the need to allocate funds for a strong bench.

Im going this way, already pressed the bench boost button. GW1 is where you have most info IMHO. Couple of possible OOPs to consider. Jota for Liverpool and Kulu for Spurs, both will be very close to goal and having chances against promoted side in GW1

If it goes well you're laughing. If it doesn't....37 game weeks is a long long time. I'd not stop thinking about how I wasted a chip for months and how it will end up punishing me eventually so it's a definite no from me.

@@sidaliusma7225 All season? Most BB's in a single GW are worth an average of about 13-14pts. That's nothing. Also when everyone else plays theirs you're going to lose that ground anyway so that's a poor argument. GW1 is the worst week to play it for me. Teams aren't match fit and lineups can be tricky to predict.
