Ben Callaways 4 ft spit that final round could have been a game changer. AB may have had to drain that final putt. Also, Waden Sides hitting back to back aces on hole 15 round 2 and 3 was pretty incredible. I'm looking forward to Eagles return this weekend. Just a thought, should do a Silas Selects Giveaway and give out the disc to someone who orders off the text offers or on Fridays after the warehouse releases.

Being a Calvin fan is just heartbreaking. 16 top 5s and 10 top 3s since last win. He just needs that winning mentality back especially at a major. Ab is literally just doing exactly what eagle and Simon did. Massive arm and once he started playing golf instead of going full aggression he has a massive advantage on almost anyone. When you can disc down on so many shots and then go full power and break holes it’s such an advantage

You have to figure he might be leaving 4 or 5 strokes out there every tournament without the sidearm. Kinda heartbreaking when you think about it

finally. some people get it. you have to imagine he is leaving multiple strokes on the table not being able to use his side arm at all. people dont give him enough credit for it. his sidearm is elite level. its one thing to not use it often but its another to not be able to use it. that would make some of those scrambles much easier. also Calvin got those two nasty rollaways on two perfect drives

Calvin had just got solo lead and stepped up to hole 10, the hole he has owned more than anyone, and he had thrown one of the greatest drives I’ve ever seen the day before and he shanked it left and then doubled. He throws one of his normal drives there and goes on to birdie I think he would have taken home the title no problem. Of course he bounced back the next hole bc he bounces back so insanely but that double killed him

Something that would make this podcast so much better would be to have pop ups of the stuff you're talking about. For example if you're talking about a hole pop up the tee sign. Or today when you talked about the maple hill thing, i haven't seen that post so I don't rlly know what you're talking about. This would be huge, thanks

Thing that changed for AB between seasons was his schooling. This is the first season he's fully committed himself to the tour; The seasons before he wasn't fully dedicated to the tour life.

I have to chuckle at the people who a year ago were still trying to insist that it was a "toss up between Paige and Kristin." It was obvious that wasn't the case anymore back then, and Paige has done nothing but remove herself from the convo ever since. As for the commentators trying to keep it interesting with FPO, it was more interesting with the sound off. I lost track of how many absurd statements Val made.

The fact last year I could minimize the video and answer texts, check social media, search Google, and etc. And this year I can't minimize the video and do other things on my phone without the app shutting down is so frustrating!

@@YoungWizdum I can’t speak for Androids if that is what you are using, but on iPhones, the pip allows me to do everything you describe. You simply have to his play again after the video “pops” out from the DGN app.

I pay for DGN and have had very few issues. Sometimes on the phone it just closes, but it’s only maybe once a weekend and it’s probably my fault going from WiFi to data. One issue I hear a lot and WISH they would do, is not show the streams you do not have access to. Too often someone says they can’t get the app to stream and it’s because they are signed up for standard and accidentally click on the Pro stream. Also doesn’t help they share the same thumbnail.

My app also closes out the video at least 2-3 times per round when using my phone. Kind of frustrating after a couple because then I get a “too many running windows” message and have to sign out & sign back in to watch

DGN subscriber. The replay option is amazing! Best thing. Dissatisfiers 1/Limiters on loudness between host audio volume. Couldn’t hear Nate. Whisper. Boom! Earnheart! 2/ I work Friday. Is Tournament Central supposed to spoil the FPO outcome so I won’t go watch it? I click on MPO and they kill any tension in watching it. So I don’t. I even avoid social media, spoiled! 3/ I can’t download and watch later which killed me on my plane ride to Dallas. They had that feature before. I used it. Nate Doss voice is boring. Earnhart is best by a mile!

please do this stat mando, what is calvin's percentage in a tournament when he's in the top 2 going into final round, and he misses the first putt of the round? He might always lose, but when he's in the top 2 and hits his first putt on hole 1 in final round, he likely does so much better. Like when calvin misses that 28ft on hole 1 final round, he loses, if he makes that putt, he goes on to win.

People were throwing 18s tee shot long the first 2 days. It definitely wasn't a crazy shot that only AB could do. Definitely in that last round wind it was very difficult though

Calvin hit that stupid bucket on the bottom of the basket twice and rolled to 80 feet in the woods. Everyone takes bad breaks but its usually from putting which is a miss. To perfectly nail your tee shot and be punished twice for it is not a good look in my opinion.

The commentating was bad this week! JBO finally had defense with the wind after many years with it being too soft and there was a lot of negativity about it. Commentators need to stop talking about luck and bad breaks and just say risk vs reward. They are supposed to make the product sound challenging and interesting. Making it sound like what we are watching is flukey for a sporting event isn’t a good look nor is it true. If a player wants to constantly throw safe short shots, they can throw a +20 and no one would say anything. Every shot can get punished or extra rewarded, it’s part of playing.

Why do they show DGN and DGPT ads on non RU-vid stream days? Also why do they show disc golf shots during the 4 window view when it’s terrible quality? They have so much dead time still, just make a reel after a commercial break or in between live shots.

I also asked myself why i pay for dgn. The product is so bad. Watching on Apple TV the picture and Sound always out of sync. The picture so grainy i cant see the Disc flying. They are soooo lucky im a Disc golf fiend.

gonna say it here. if Calvin had a sidearm he’d have two wins right now. he is playing crazy good and he is at a severe disadvantage. no sidearm makes some of those holes crazy hard and some upshots/scramble about impossible. what he is doing is insane. he almost beat a guy who can throw 700+ ft backhand and 450 sidearm. that being said, AB has that killer mindset now. i think when Calvin is 100% its gonna be a crazy fight

Both can be right. It’s better than last year’s version. While comparing it to tennis, golf, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, rugby, pool, wrestling, corn hole, darts, etc it’s garbage.

I do video production for a living and I have always thought the production was subpar. This year it has gotten way better, but there is no excuse for post produced highlights being pixilated. The biggest issue for me is the compression during live was horrible. All the highlights were flickering non-stop.

Live disc golf is too exciting to not pay for it. It doesn’t look GREAT, but I don’t care. My only complaint about the DGN app is it doesn’t always recognize my tier. I have to logout and log back in sometimes to be able to watch.

Doss is misery. Everything is a catastrophe, he had Simon not winning the tournament after 5 holes. Every putt is a must make and every mistake is the end of the world. It was tough scoring yesterday and what AB did was absolutely amazing but you hardly knew if you weren’t watching yourself. Gannon at one point was closing in but really no mention. He hypes up the wrong things.

Doss is terrible, so is Val. Koling is also the king of over-reacting to every shot as soon as it leaves a player's hand, and then having to walk it back when the shot is perfectly fine.

I couldn’t agree more with Silas. I could not bring myself to pay money for the DGN. It is bad quality footage, and terrible shot selection. How many times are we trying to watch Kristin Tattar putt, but instead, we are looking at the back of some random caddy’s head, and Kristin isn’t even in focus, so we have no idea what happened until after? Or how many times do they swap camera angles, and then the newly selected camera person starts to walk away, and we watch the ground for 20 seconds. It’s terrible.
