I really just completely launched myself off that island thinking it would be fine 🤣 Still can't believe I accidentally dropped that crash pad at the last second
the game initially puts you against ai bots so you have a chance to learn the game either way it was really really fun to watch you play the game for the first time. there are also normal npcs which can help you when you talk to them and aggressive npcs that give really good loot when they die but they have alot of health. fortnite is an absurdly complicated game with an extremely high skill ceiling which is why the game puts new players against ai.
That makes a lot of sense about the ai. I have finally figured out how those npcs can help you . . . after I kept accidentally shooting them for a bunch of rounds because I was so jumpy
and theres something called ranked but even if youre good at fps it's pretty hard. ranked, to me, feel like tournaments but for everyone to access. so stick to normal or go with zero build. it's skill based so keep going its fun to learn@@DrewGoodHelp
Not just the Ai itself but the people your Fighting against are bots for the first few lobbies. Thats why you smoking them so easily. Get to level 25 and you will start encountering better players. I'm like level 250 and diamond 3 rank and my lobbies are crazy @@DrewGoodHelp
@@DrewGoodHelp if you were to jump in like chapter two it would’ve thrown half this much at you lmao, I’ve been playing since chapter 1 season 5 so I kinda just got accustomed to everything
@@DrewGoodHelp sorry for replying three times but victory crowns, xp, vbucks, and quests don’t really matter if you don’t care about getting the cosmetics/buying anything
pretty sure it has to do with new players and the way the game works, it throws new players into games with other new players( and other mechanically bad players) so its like a sbmm thing in a way.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 if you have good aim you going to get some kills they want new players to have a good time but fortnite isn't only about shooting I could box you like a fish and No scope you in the head. Now that's skill Call the duty is for nubes. Because the only thing to do is shoot like there's no f****** challenge. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@JeighNeither thats were your wrong though, ive watched alot of new fortnite creators first games and most of the time people only drop 1-2 kills on a first game (in bot lobbys, your acting like i dont know that)
Yeah it was funny to watch but also shows that this game has just gotten very complex. This is where zero build mode can be very helpful to start. Also one tip, becareful with AI when they pull out an SMG. For some reason, you will most likely just get 200-0 before you can think about shooting back if you are in their face.
The reason why it was so easy is because you just started playing. Fortnite uses Skill Based Matchmaking which also means they add bots to make you win. It would turn people away from the game if they never played wnd got destroyed. Once you've played for a while, it's not easy anymore, especially in build mode. Zero Build would match your style more because if you have no building mechanics, you will not have a good time.
I disagree. I’ve been playing Fortnite less than 2 years now and before I started playing I was a heavy COD player, switching over to Fortnite I realized how much easier it was to kill players because it’s less realistic, cod is way more realistic especially when it comes to getting kills so you have to have amazing accuracy, timing and precision. Yeah you’re facing bots as well in Fortnite but almost 2 years in and I’m still averaging 15 kills per game in a battle royal which is a lot easier to do in Fortnite than cod, in COD battle royal I was only averaging 7 kills a game. Cause by your standards when you first start playing cod they make it easier for you as well obviously not tossing you in matches where you aren’t even close in rank. And as far as build mode vs zero build I don’t have a problem with either even though my building skills aren’t top tier and I suck, but I’m still good enough to kill players who are better at building than me so that means nothing.
@@trapkoda I'm talking in his case. Fortnite is the hardest game when you play builds and you are matched with real players. I'm not talking about zero builds
@@trapkodayou’re so wrong, I’m an iridescent cod player… I’m champ On cod not quite unreal yet. Cod is 1000000x easier than Fortnite 😂 once you get out of bot lobbies you’ll understand. Your first 20+ games on a fresh account or as a returning player will be exclusively bots. Even pubs after 2 years will be 70% bots. They’ve done it for an enjoyable experience. Play ranked or the new reloaded and you’ll change your mind lmfao 😂😂😂
@@Spudniic I’m glad you think Fortnite is a lot harder, I guess we both have different experiences cause I avg way more kills on Fortnite than I did cod, doesn’t mean I’m wrong though. Nice try bud
Best thing to do is turn on directional sound in the options, you can see footsteps, emp grenades, trains and cars show up on screen around the crosshair when someone is near Those were also the low elo lobbies, once you get your account to about level 15, things really ramp up
As a long time Fortnite player, I found this wholesome and fun. I dearly hope you continue playing from time to time. Your genuine confusion is not off base at all. I was so turned around when I started, but since then tons has been added to the game. Like cars, sliding, mantling, swimming were not things when I first played. This video earned you my sub. I will keep coming back. Even if its not Fort content. You are a fun personality and I look forward to seeing more from you.
btw, since your account is new, the first match will be against bots, but after the second, third, you`ll start finding some players, fortnite matches works kinda like a ranked on some other games, they put you against people of similar skill level (by their standards), so they use the first row of matches of a new account to measure your skill level, then around 3rd or 4th match you start playing against people, with a few bots sprinkled among them, also, there`s a no build mode, so the better your aim and positioning the better, since the players skilled with building can pretty much build a resort with pool and a restaurant in the matter of a few seconds... also a bit of a tip, game has parkour, depending of your keybinds, but the standard is space, you hold space and you do parkour, like climb a wall, or jump over a fence, etc... btw nice aim man! XD
It wasnt his first ever game, since he had 39 gold at the start of the match. Its probably his second or third.I am not trying to hate, tbh this video got me to sub and i love his commentary.Good work man, keep it up.
Before I record a game I haven't played, I'll drop in real quick to get the mouse sensitivity where I want it so I don't have to mess with that in the video. I have no idea how I got gold though just running in circles testing it lol. Good catch though! Thanks for subbing
There's a hidden ELO involved in it. When you're newer you'll play against mostly bots/newer players. Once you start getting wins/levels/etc you'll start going against real competition and wins won't be so easy to come by.
This thumbnail is absolutely hilarious. Fortnite has been my new favorite game. I'm even in their playing Legos and I must admit, when I saw that item you are holding in your thumbnail, I had the same face, "What the heck is this thing?" lol
just bear in mind, it will throw only bots and first game players in the 1st few games, then after about 6-10 games it will throw hard bots and more experienced players in the more experience you get until its only players and open to anyone jumping in from 20th game players to pro's.
I also won my first solo fortnite match (as a FPS newbie) but the difference is that my tactic was to hide all match and then shoot the last remaining person LOL. Anyways hope to see you play more of this! It was super entertaining
Now this is what I call high quality, entertaining content! Most of the videos on this platform are either copied, the same idea, or brainrot! Keep making videos, ill keep watching them! Great work Drew!
As a Fortnite player, it was great to watch the pure confusion, and it is nice to have someone try the game without immediately assuming it is going to be bad.
The reason it was so easy is because when your new to the game they put you in bot lobbie to get you used to it and so you dont rage quit from the start
Quick note, I believe at first you are put into a full NPC lobby so you can get used to the game and learn as you go. Then the real fun begins when you are in player lobbies.
Yeah, a few other people mentioned that too. I wish the game would have told me so it wouldn't have been such a shock when I started getting real people
This is great.. I’ve been playing since season one.. But this is just great! Mostly not lobbies on your first game.. so only a few real people, and probably also beginners..❤
You don’t understand how enjoyable it was for me, a veteran of this game, to watch someone experience it for the first time. If you get good at it, it’s incredibly fun and I’d love to see you play more
No hate but I am incredibly surprised with how you played. You've played FPS games before, but I never saw you open your inventory, reload your guns (until much later), or make much of a conscious effort to figure out what was going on (looking around at the buttons, HUD, etc). It almost looked like you refused to try to enjoy the game. This wasn't one of those "he's never played Fortnite so he obviously has no idea what's going on", it was more of a "have you ever touched a video game?" It's possible that I just play games differently, but still.
"Why is it showing racing?" "Where is just the regular start button?" "Why ars there LEGOS and cars?" This is genuinely sad. I can't believe just how much this game has changed in its 7 years of life.
I actually really enjoyed this video from the perspective of someone who's been playing Fortnite for quite a few years now. I'm sure someone else in the comments has mentioned this already, but the reason the players were a bit unskilled looking was because they were all bots. When you play the game for the first time as a level one account you're going to get bot matches, sometimes you'll get a few Before you get introduced to real players so you get to acclimate yourself to the game a bit playing against AI. Though because of the way skill based matchmaking works, it takes a pretty drastic turn once real players get introduced into the mix.
I'm so glad you liked it! Yeah, I was disappointed to learn they were just bots. I understand why they do it, but I wish the game would tell you so you know
If you don’t wanna watch the whole video he basically just says “im so confused” “they don’t tell you anything” or “they throw to much information at you” for 18 minutes straight
so basically if u play ur first rounds u almost only get bots as enemys. If u farm more wins there will be more real players so it will get harder, although battle royale is pretty easy even if u get real players. If u want a real challange then i'd recommend to play ranked. Its a system where when u play u get points by killing people or by getting good placement. When ur playing ur first ranked match, u will have no rank and based on how good u perform in the first match fortnite is gonna give you a rank. For example if ur ranked diamond and u gain 100 points in that rank u will become rank elite . So whenever u reach 100 % you will uprank. Hope this clears up things a little bit. Awesome video btw!
Bro your personality is awesome I started watching you not knowing what this was and it's one of those situations where it's so funny that you can't just turn it turn away and it's funny because everything you're saying makes sense if you've never played Fortnite before it's like what the hell is all this
I just laughed my butt off watching this. I’m a 54 yr old grandma, and I play several hours almost every night. Started playing a few years ago after watching my son play. My first game I came to a river, didn’t know I could swim and stood there in the open for 5 minutes trying to build a bridge. 😂 Good times.
I literally gasped when i saw you sprinting off the Island HAHAHAHAHAAHHA I was like.... did he Just !?!?!? D: !!! Thank god for those Crash pads! HAHHAHA
The more you level up in the season, the more you get put in lobbies with people ALSO high level in the season. So there were a lot of other new players in there w you, so it was A LOT easier than when you’re high level.
The funny thing is that the game used to be harder back in the day too we had no bots. Fortnite had me raging for 3 months straight in 2018. I kinda miss those days
Really? I found it to be way easier back then because the players hadn't really honed their skills yet. The players were actually worse than the bots back then. Now, you win two or three games in a row and you end up with pro players against you can build an IKEA faster than I can switch weapons. I think skill-based matchmaking has a lot to do with that though
after a long time not playing any online multiplayer game, i started playing fortnite (no construction mode) 2 weeks ago and im kinda in love with it. super easy to learn and i've already won lots of solo plays killing 6+ people
I believe everyone wins their first game because the first game is usually filled with bots and new players who are in their 2nd or more. The more rounds you play, difficulty could increase a bit depending on skill level and after some time of playing, you’ll be playing with more real players than bot unless you start performing bad
Very entertaining gameplay my dude, also incredible aim. They we're bots the real players will give you more of a challenge. You can also play zero builds if building isn't your thing. Definitely subscribing. 👍
I only started playing about 2 weeks ago as my 10 year old was playing it for almost a year, and i thought I'd see how i go, and im kinda hooked. I am almost on level 94 and had a few wins.
I also had somebody as Hades approach us and wanted to become allies, he kept picking me up and throwing me and medkits at me. Is it normal for players to do this?
i had so much anxiety watching this Lil tips from me : Sniper scopes have glare to them (they give away your location by flashing a white light) SMGs have damage fall off past 30 meters. please loot after you kill someone, there's so much healing and ammo you're missing!
btw the first games will always have like have a bunch of bots so it's really easy to win but the next few matches will have real humans also if you want your snipers to hold alot of ammo put a drum mag on them but it will take time to reload since it takes more bullets also you got to go to a workbench to modify your gun you can only access them if you defeat the boss like this one here is the time thing 14:36
Hey man, as a new player you start out playing with lobbies where the majority are bots with some occasional new players sprinkled in. The sweaty lobbies will come to you eventually, but good job getting 2 victories in a row!
That is just how I felt when I started this game….it was a love hate relationship……but I did not want to give up….im a bit better now…but not great, lol….try zero build it may help, do the quests that’s how you gain experience level….good luck….
First time I played this game was about 4 years ago and hated the game, but just recently tried it again and now i'm hooked, yeah its very cartoony but also addictive lol, Would love to see you take on some of the better players as they aren't all playing like "6 Year Olds"
Love your commentary on Fortnite, would love to see another video like this. I realize you posted this 2 months ago so... oh well. Your reactions are so great. Really enjoyed it. Here's some random info if you want it: you were playing against bots (npcs) cause thats how you start (i didnt know when i first played either. super confusing to learn fortnite with no tutorial), but the more you play, the more real players your will play against, and the more of a challenge it will be as the skillbased matchmaking adjust to your level. if you don't want to bother with 'builds' (using the wood, brick and metal you collect to make walls, ramps, floors, cones etc), then i would recommend playing "zero build mode". its the same as Battle Royale but without the building. Also if you play "ranked" (which you can adjust in each mode, whether ranked is on or off), you play against only players, not bots (or so ive heard, i never looked into it) and it should be more difficult from the get-go.
