I'm trying to keep my hawk pro light, diamond vtx dvr I have laying around ,but cam connects directly vtx, omnibus cam connects to fc ,would I use vid out from vtx to fc ,no vid in?
Thanks for this. Your video tutorials are very helpful. But i have a problem i hope you could help me. I'm trying to connect my VTx (GEPRC Stable VTX v1.3) to my FC AIO (JHEMCU F411 Pro AIO). The VTx has 3wires has 8wires all-in, 3wires from the fpv camera (5v, grnd, video in one connector wire to the fpv camera), and another set of 5wires (5v, grnd, Vin, Vout, TXD). The last 3wires is what i have a hard time figuring out where they goes (Vi, Vout, TXD). The FC-AIO has 4pads open i can possibly solder the wires into. These are: Tx1, Rx1, VTx, and Camera signal. Can you please help me where i should solder the 3 VTx wires (Vin, Vout, TXD) into the FC-AIO pads (Tx1, Rx1, VTx, Camera signal)? Thank you again so much. And i hope you can help me.
I know this is an old video but that was amazing. Just getting into fpv myself and It can be very confusing at times. Videos like this are sooo helpful so thank you, it cleared up a lot!
If you are going to connect the VTX to the power input from the battery, you should solder a 1000 micro farad capacitor across the positive and negative terminals. This will serve to limit noise on the video stream. Also a good practice solder it on, to save sensitive electronics from voltage spikes.
Please make a video about wiring an external microphone into smartaudio line incl. all the needed caps & resistors. I can't find this topic on YT. It would help many of us, cause the majority of VTXes do not come with an integrated mic on the board and it's kinda like being handicaped while flying, because you loose a very important piece of your senses... The community would surely be very thankful to you. Keep up that great work, you are one of the most important persons in FPV in the world! :)
Thank you ever so much for an easy to follow and most understandable tutorial!!! You have a gift for teaching this stuff and I sincerely hope you will continue to educate us new FPV pilots and builders of quadcopters. You have one more subscriber! 👍👍
I wish I had watched this and understood it back in 2019! Great video. I now already know most of this stuff (but learning the painful way), but I still picked up on a cool tip; and that's powering your flight controller with alligator clips before any solder ever hits the board! EXCELLENT! 👌
Dude, ty so much for this nice tutorial and for explaining it for absolute noobs like me, you literally answered me all my cuestions, absolutely nice video. 👏
Awesome video and great detail please do more of this videos they are very helpful to beginners. Do a tutorial video of how to wire different recivers like tbs nano and micro reciver . Thank you for providing the links to the items you use.
I want ask a question about connection if a buy a camera and vtx module. The vtx module has 3wire so where should i connect the which wire in flight controler for drone or in receiver for rc plane
We need a video on how to wire a vtx like that fx 2 ultimate. Directly to the tx housing / silver case. I wanna go around the plug. I think it has a short, or the harness.
Great video easy to follow. Unfortunately I still need some help.my smart audio is working but the table for power is wrong. I understand that if the mw value is wrong the vtx olny outputs 25 mw. Values of rdq. Vtx are 25,200,600 & 1000. Can I just enter a command in cli to change this, or do I have to flash 4.1 and import the tables. Then change table to correct values?
Great tutorial I completely understand , but does connecting the vtx power directly to bat voltage degrade the image ? Sometimes I get a grainy looking image, no lines just grainy. Thank you
So I have a question, maybe is a dumb one, but I'm really noob at this. So I have a blue bugs 3 (it's a made drone kit for kids) and I always used just a budget camera with a 1s lipo, but as expected, the signal is very bad, so I was wondering if I could get one vtx and use it just with camera connected to the vtx and battery to power the vtx, without connect it to flight controller, because I don't have pads for that, or it's impossible to do that? Thanks so much for the help
thanks for this video! sooo the current documentation for Eachine nano V2 VTX shows 5V IN, GND, "RX", 5V OUT, GND, and 5V OUT; I would assume the RX printed in this case should be a ""TX""? or does the RX in my case indicate receiving data from the FC's TX pad which is where I will solder to TX3?
Great videos! Do you also have tbs crossfire setups? I have a multiple nano’s. I wired one of my quads in a similar way once, and I was able to control my vtx though my tbs module behind my taranis once and adjust my rates. by the way any videos on rate adjustments? I enjoy watching your videos also my baby niece loves your into song by the way 🤙 and thanks for recommending the dalrc f722 with 50 amp esc’s, flies gtreat on my marmotte, wish it had a barometer, was thinking of the matek f7, but really don’t need memory card adapter. keep up the great videos!

Waiting for the part 2 of building FPV drone, the video ended with a heads up for part 2. Planning a build based on this bro. Thank you for all the support :)
The Drone Flew Amazing However the caddx tarsier was dead on arrival if you want to see how it flew check my runcam split 3 video it was that build that was flying but was flying very chill to capture the footage. So in i think 5 days I will receive the replacement. Also if you plan to build it do it because I will also release my pids for it.
Great video man! You should go even deeper and let us know how to connect those wires in order to avoid things like failsafes or electrical noise, cause this is a very important and ugly part in fpv 😤🧐 thank you for your work and keep it up!
Just out of curiosity, does the display ever pop up in the middle of a flight or is the command to boot it so out of the way its never popped up unintentionally?
IS it better to power the Cam from the VTX or the FC? I currently have a Rush Tiny Tank with the Cam power coming from the VTX but I'm getting interference.
after wiring all the connections and configuring it on beta flight, why did you not show how to load the lua script in beta flight? and where to download the lua script?
So if I used a for instance,a diamond dvr 200mw vtx on a omnibus f4 fc ,mini mag stack,if cam goes directly to vtx on the diamond, would I keep cam in to fc as it's meant for,run vid out and not vid in on vtx?
matek f411 wse connect fpv transmiter eachine nano vtx first atach -connect antena in transmiter..left to right side wires.. yellow soldering to vtx in matek, red soldering to vbt, black to G.I think so I have smog not working?????help please
Thanks for the video! What does it mean when inside VTX SA it says “statx” previously the menu was like shown in your video and I could change the settings. But after I crashed I’m having this issue. Sometimes I don’t even get an image. I’m struggling to find the problem :p
If there's new guys watching these like I was. Definitely don't put a full batt vtx (7-25) on 5v. On another note I think 2023 (year) plus you may not need a S/A wire and can still access the betaflight settings. I have 2 builds that can, a 16x16 vtx that survived a fire and a hm850 from flywoo/RDQ.
Is there any VTX power limit using SA 2.0 settings. I am using Eachine TX806 VTX that has 5 power levels 25,200,400,800 and 1000. It can be set to 1000mW using VTX control button but Smart Audio (by OSD or LUA Script) is able to set only to power level 4 (800mW). When I am trying to set to lvl 5 (1000mW) Smart Audio settings stops to respond until FC and VTX is power up again. Does anyone had similar issues?
Man Its TOO bad your over seas from the US . Theres a market for Hey mr tech guy is this 4 in 1 ESC beyond help, or hey mr tech guy is this flight controller completely dead. Granted its nickle and dime and probablly stress, but there is assuredly a market for it. I've seen your videos on testing FETs . but I wouldn't do it myself .
