Bill’s legacy alive on his journey to sainthood - friars, family, caregivers, and friends will build permanent sculptures in his likeness. The life-size bronze memorials of Fr. Bill, complete with a bench where visitors can pray and reflect, will be a constant reminder of his extraordinary life and the people he inspired and touched.
One sculpture will be at St. Augustine Parish Healing Garden in Philadelphia, and the second will overlook the athletic fields at Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill, PA. The third will be in Rome.
Fr. Bill became the FIRST quadriplegic priest in the Catholic church. He taught and ministered at Msgr. Bonner Catholic High School in Drexel Hill, PA for almost thirty years, until 2004. The CAUSE for Beatification and Canonization of Fr. Bill is now under review in the Vatican.
