As a Protestant before my conversion, this kind of announcement would have prompted me to go Church Shopping for a new paster and church. This is a good reminder that church is where we worship GOD - the pastor should not be our main focus or purpose in attending, no matter how anointed he is or much we like him. Blessed are the new community Fr Larry is called to serve.
Protestant response. Respectfully submitted. As a convert to Roman Catholicism, you can no longer say that church is wherever you gather to worship God, right? I mean according to Roman Catholicism, Protestants don’t have churches. Their sacraments are invalid and their ordinations are invalid. So wouldn’t it be more accurate as a Roman Catholic to say wherever Roman Catholics gather to worship God? Since only Roman Catholics attend true churches. Just sayin.
Fr. Larry, you are assigned by Our Lord God to a larger flock. I am sure the St. Joseph Church will miss you but I know they will understand. I am one on your huge online flock and I am thankful and blessed to find you. You have fed me the best of homilies that I am blessed to establish and intimate relationship with Our Lord God. When you talk, you talk to please Our Lord God and not to please us your listeners. Our Lord God wants you to bear more fruits because people who listens to you are bearing fruits too. I hear holy Priests say that obedience to the Bishops is harder to follow than being celibate. May our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph accompany you to your new assignment. May the Holy Spirit brings you peace. Assured of my prayers for you and thank you as always. We love you but Our Lord God loves you more. Rest your head on Jesus' Chest and hear His Heartbeat saying I love you, Larry! I love you, Larry! I love you Larry!
Father Larry changed my life many years ago when he came to Lancaster, PA to lead our Parish Renewal over 3 evenings. The final evening program ended after midnight as Father Larry reenacted the Lord’s Passion and then heard confessions. Then Father Larry drove 8 hours back to Erie to celebrate Mass for his Parish. And that encounter, for me, started a many-years love affair with this wonderful priest and servant. I’ve attended retreats with him at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland and countless video sessions. God bless you Father for your faithful service and many years more to come I pray.
Father Larry, God sent this to me. I didn’t seek it. You were a Lenten speaker at St Cecilia in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was a new convert to the Catholic Church. I was every talk you gave that week. I bought your book “I Surrender”. I remember in your talk you said you lie prostrate in your bed every morning before your feet hit the ground and tell Christ “I surrender myself to you, do with as you will”. And on your book you say to ask Him “ Who do want me to die for today?” I do this every morning, I’ve been confirmed now for 3 years. Thankyou Father, thankyou for your faith, your mission, your candor and honesty, your love for the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, for Christ body, the Church. I pray for you Father, we are spiritual warfare. Stay strong, stay faithful. I know that you will for you have the heart of Christ and Mary. God bless, in Christ through Mary. May God bless you on your new journey of faith. 🙏🥰✝️💕
I want to cry so bad, and this isn’t even my community. Thank you Father Larry for being an obedient and faithful priest. I wish we had many more like you. Will be praying for you ❤
Fr. Larry is a priest's priest. He is a true shepherd. During the pandemic, I was recuperating from knee replacement surgery -- a double whammy. I looked for a Mass online and I stumbled upon St. Joe's and Fr. Larry. I was immediately taken in by his devotion, fervor, honesty and directness. Wherever he is assigned, the sheep will follow and love him.
@stevenlaux2887 I always find it interesting that people who believe in religion always go on about being "saved" Just what is it that you are supposed to be saved from? Religion is a belief system. There are many different beliefs from Hinduism to Buddhism and frankly there may be some glimmer of truth in many of them. The Catholic religion is guilty of the Inquisition and the Crusades. My salient advice is leave religion alone. It is poison
Hi this is Moe from Father Larry's office. He will be livestreaming from his new parish also. The times may be different. Stay tuned, he will share more information as he is able. God Bless!
You ARE so loved by your Congregation and By Our Lord Father 🙏 Took me over 2 years to discern leaving my Home Parish of 24 years. My heart is with you as I know the struggles. Thank you for Always reminding US, that it is not about US, it is about Our Savior and no matter where we end up, it WILL STILL only be about Christ, Our Lord and Savior ❤️
Oh, my goodness, 22 yrs. in one place is unheard of. You are very lucky and your parish is too. They must be very sad. Wherever you go, those people are in for a real treat. Love you, Fr. Larry.
Thank you for coming to Rhode Island M.O.S.J. conference to yell at us and wake us up. My uncle is nearly deaf but heard every word of your testimony to truth! Never lose your drive or voice❤ Dan

Attended Father Larry's Mission retreat in Cypress, Ca several years ago. He blessed our congregation greatly, and is a true warrior for the Lord. God truly has a new plan in place for this good and faithful servant.
It is difficult for the laity to loose a good faithful Priest but I always say, it's only fair for this Priest to go and share his gifts. Bless you Father Larry.
You know Father Larry being a priest is not a lonely life, you feed your flock, you lead people to holiness, you do what God choose you to do. We love you. God bless you.

Doing the Nine Month Novena with Cardinal Burke.. to Our lady of Guadalupe..and it's lifting me up. This is an extra bonus as we pray for God will in the Nation and the World. Won't you join us. Father Larry...I'm so glad you're somewhere so that I can hear you!
God chose you. Beautiful. Go bear fruit and feed others. Fiat. Love one another, as I love you. Be not afraid. Courageous suffering begets fierce joy, Father.
My dear Fr Larry God has changed my life using you as his ALMIGHTY instrument. I have been praying for this difficult change. Big hug from Nicaragua Central America under the rule of an evil communist tyranny... God always put a coma......
Such a great Priest! He is a true Evangelist with Apostolic preaching! May God reward him now and forever! God love and strengthen him and his people in this transition ✝️
Thanks Father Larry for this important reminder, refresher. I have been learning what God wants me to do with this disabling chronic pain affliction for 20 years. First he introduced me to Mother Angelica and Father Benedict Groeschel with EWTN. Then he helped me to understand what it means to offer it up. You just reminded me of all of that after a particularly challenging month. Good luck and God bless you on this next mission. I believe God will give you what you need when you need it.
I was blessed to meet Father Larry at last year’s CMLA retreat at Malvern PA. A truly holy man. Still praying his Holy Spirit prayer he shared out at the retreat. God bless you Fr. Larry.
I am praying and have faith in our Lord to guide you! I also am hoping and praying for you to continue to be online! Bless your heart for going to Providence, Rhode Island and doing a men's retreat!

Oh Great & Loving Father, thank you for the gift of Fr Larry Richards! Protect him in his new assignment and continue to bring him JOY in serving You and in bringing others to know Your love for us and Your constant pursuit of us. I am forever grateful for coming across Fr Larry’s message about The Mass Explained and later Confession which I had had heard 10 yrs ago, that brought me deeper into my faith and forever changed me! Now as I am also looking for a new job, I am remembering to ask God and Trust God to show me my way which I want to be His Will to help others… Thank you Father Larry and may God Bless You!
Father, yesterday's 1st Holy Communion Mass was just beautiful! Love your honesty. Love your always relatively brief but always totally on point homilies. Your entire Ministry should be studied in Seminaries. Ps, I hear your voice when I say Our Father. GOD BLESS U, ST JOES, NEW PARISHES, UR MINISTRY
Thank you for sharing this, Fr. Larry. I tried so hard to be there last Thursday, but the drive home from my daughter's house took 12 hrs., longer than I had planned. I needed to hear these words from you and am grateful that now I have.
God Bless You, Father. Thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do, regardless of the location. Change becomes more difficult with passing years. But YOU are “an instrument of His Peace” and will be successful wherever you are. With great filial love - Mary Elizabeth Thoma, Port Saint Lucie, FL
I am praying for your safe travels this weekend and for the smooth transition to the new chapter in your life. Indeed you have spread God’s message around the world and have been the instrument of my strength in developing a greater love for Jesus and a passion for my faith. I pray that God blesses you abundantly and know what Jesus made possible, the Holy Spirit makes actual through you. You are truly loved. Sincerely, Dolores Wisecarver Annandale, VA
Just met you today,my early Mother's day gift, thank you Jesus for introducing me to Father Larry! You are in my prayer basket, and every day,I thank Father God for giving us what we need for that day! Thank you,Father for saying yes to God for your life of service of love to all!
What a beautiful soul. I was watching something else when suddenly this kind priest appeared on my IPad screen. I am so touched by his words. I can assure you, the parishioners of this church that he was suffering much more than all of you together. His heart sounded broken to me, but he didn’t want to share with you his suffering, he wanted you to receive the new pastor with a BIG SMILE. May God bless him and allow him to be as successful in his new Church as he was and made you be, in this Community.
Father this is what you have to give to the people of God they will love you You are the. FATHER LARRY YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY AND AT HOME. YES A FAMILY COMMUNITY...YOU HAVE MY PRAYERS.
Father Larry Thank you so much for this Lovely Homily. We pray for Almighty God to Bess you with all your future mission of spreading the good news of Love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Nourished by your speech/CD on confession.
God, and our Lord and wonderful Savior Jesus Christ bless, keep, protect, anoint, and fill your faithful shepherd with your Holy Spirit with his new flock, may he bring forth much fruit Amen.
Thank you Fr. Larry. Your short and to-the-point homilies have been a tremendous inspiration to me. I hope you can continue to post videos at your new parish. God Bless you in your new assignments.
Pax tibi Father Larry. You are a “ good and faithful shepherd “ . There are obviously others who need you on their journey and I’ll be remembering you in my prayers. Vaya con Dios and what encouragement you give to me and others about doing not Our but HIS WILL! It ain’t easy!
Thank you Fr. I have been listening to your homilies since Covid time. I like the honesty and straightforwardness of all your homilies. May the Spirit of God be with you always wherever you go. God bless! 😇
Father keep bring the Jesus heart to everyone! ❤ We need to know Love of God, so many lost, so many to prideful to think they dont need a God. Be blessed Father
Wow Father Larry that was a great sermon... specific, challenging and inspiring! Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God and your wonderful spiritual demeanor makes it super clear to me that you are filled with the Holy Spirit.
I hope you continue to do online masses. You have been a great help to me since I broke my leg and was confined for a long time and still need to attend mass online occasionally. May our LOrd Jesus richly bless you as you go forward.
Hi, this is Moe from Father Larry's office. He will continue to do everything online, the times may be different for daily and Sunday Mass. He will announce all those details when he can. God Bless you!
Hi Kathy, this is Moe from Father Larry's office. He will continue, but the time may change. He will be able to announce more once the new parishes are officially announced by the Bishop of our diocese.
Many years ago I was at a parish with a wonderful, caring, holy priest that everyone just loved. I felt like he spoke to me with every sermon . I loved his Masses they were always packed. Well of course he was transferred in a short amount of time. I cried like a baby while talking to him after the Mass when he told us he was leaving. To this day I think our pastor asked for him to be transferred. The pastor was such a grumpy man that yelled at his parishioners.
So hard for both the priest and the community to lose a priest, especially after so long. Same happened on my last parish before we moved to NC. Our priest had been there 24 years. Prayers for you and all at St. Joe's.
Hi Suzanne, this is Moe from Father Larry's office. He plans to continue to livestream Mass from the new parish (time may change) and to continue his podcast and social media stuff too!
Father Larry, I don't remember Our Lord saying "No" to the Cross. I've listened to you for years, and I've learned much from your teaching. God bless you, Father! Ave Maria!
Matthew 26:39 “After walking a little farther away from them, Jesus fell to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, do not give me this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want.”
In a way, it is-- "I don't want to go there"-- compared to Mary's immediate "Your will be done." Mary knew the penalty at that time for a pregnant, unwed woman: death by stoning. So she literally offered her life up by her Fiat, putting her complete trust in God. Of course, Jesus said yes as well! But, fully God, He knew what was going to happen and, fully human, He didn't want to go there. Jesus gave His complete obedience to His Father, but Scripture clearly shows He would've liked to get out of it.
God once told me, I give you My Love, I give you My Perfect Love, My Perfect Love gives you Perfect Joy. I will never take it away from you. Now Father, you add something very important. You will remain in My Love if you keep My commandments just as I keep My Father's commandments I remain in His Love.
Hey Moe! Please pass this along to (Fr) Larry that Curly (not really, my name is Joe like is dog) has been sharing his fruit with many many people! So many more need the fruit he provides from our Lord. Go and preach the gospel Fr Larry! So many people are lost. Hey, at least you don't have to take a boat and get shipwrecked somewhere!
Should we also feed ourselves first and take care of ourselves first before being able to feed others ? How can we love others first if we do not love ourselves first ?
Hi yes I know about the priest vestment I was only making a joke it was the first thing I noticed on Father LARRY it reminded me when I was young seeing buffalo Bob he wore something similar
