I really enjoy how he talks about things in Jesus day as if he was there, then makes it relevant in our lives. He speaks mainly to young people but I am 54 and enjoy his insight.

I’d love to hangout with Father Mike and pick his brain and get some knowledge.....I’m no Catholic I’m a Protestant but watching him lately I’m leaning back towards the Catholic Church

I started RCIA 2 weeks ago and he’s one of the people who influenced my decision to join the church. Love watches him.

I like these talks. One thing Protastents do better overall is there are far more preachers doing long "sermons" like this. Thank God some of the Preists, nuns and even laymen are stepping up and giving sermons laden with Catholic Theology such as this. For although they dont replace the Mass it gives us deeper more in depth sermons on subjects which can tremendously help us in our walk with the Lord.

Minute 30. We Christians do not love to suffer, but we suffer with love...

Now I understand why we are going through the same kind of trial in different situations for the last 35 years. The first time i felt this particular pain, I felt intense disappointment; by now, we have several uncomfortable matters that don't feel as disappointing as it felt the first time. One might be tempted to surrender to pleading: "how come???" But just this morning I woke up thinking: the cross that Jesus carried to His final crucifixion, SEEMED like a "mistake" to the observer at the time---a huge "how come???" but it was NOT a mistake. We see our situations, and miss seeing the wood of the cross that is NOT a failure.

I cried when he told the story about Mallory. It was incredibly similar to my best friend who passed from cancer just before Mal was diagnosed. My friend, Lilley, was so incredibly faithful and loving. I always prayed for God to heal her, but one time I prayed that God’s Will be done and I knew in my heart that she would pass from the cancer. It was such an awful thing to accept as we were both 16 at the time and I strayed from God for so long because my faith was fragile and my love was conditional. Finally I found my way back to Him and even though I was raised Protestant, God is leading me to become Catholic. I start my first RCIA class a week from today and I feel so incredibly blessed that God led me back to Him. My friend is undoubtedly in Heaven and I want to be there with her when I pass.

I guess you can say I was raised by helicopter parents, and when something happened that was beyond my parent’s reach, I, who thought my faith was resilient, was fragile and conditional. Now, I understand that hardships are necessary in life, because I learned so much from the experience. I strive for an anti-fragile faith, like Mallory’s. I open my eyes this morning and I found myself so angry with GOD and I was trying to come myself by talking to myself. My life is a mess and I'm very sad. When I opened RU-vid this was right in front of me if this is not GOD talking to me I don't know who is. This is amazing.

Fr. Mike is so accurate here! Why is our culture failing? His presentation hits the nailhead squarely. There are many Catholics at mass, but few Christians. Think about what a Christian truly is. Once again, Fr. M is so right! Will his words move your mind, heart and soul?

This talk was so beautiful! A few years ago, I prayed to fall in love with Jesus and it happened. At the same time, I accepted God’s will. I truly feel in my heart how much He loves us. My life is so peaceful now. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen!

Fr. Mike reminds me of a priest that taught us religion classes when I attended a Catholic school & also when I went to public school for my high school years (9-12). Love listening to him. He makes a lot of sense.

I heard your story of Mallory. I love this story. I do not think i could be so brave. But it is so appreciative. I havent gone back to church yet. I like listing to you ad you make sence. I did not really know that the Eucharist (the body and blood of christ) what it actually was. This is why i think we did not know how to pray correctly or to offer our sacrifice to FOR.

Such a powerful reminder, inspiration to have faith in our trials, pains. Perspective - our Father in Heaven knows what is best, and always loves us.
