Thanks Yves ! Hope I did the Fractal some justice 😅 I don’t mind the ducts at all but interesting to hear about a V2 👀 I’ll have to check it out - analog this time !! Lol
Very nice - i love rcinpower motors. I have rcinpower 0802 25ks on my best flying 75mm whoop. Motors are super smooth and seem very durable, too. Let me know how the 1002s do, if you remember!
@@MoeFPV Lols, I hear ya. I‘m using RcInPower 1002 22‘000kv motors soldered and they feel really good on the HDZ build. But to be honest I never tried 1102‘s so I could not say how different they feel. 1002 seemed to fit my Pro builds and now the Pro Max so I did not change them.
I put on some new iflight defender 16 HQPROP 1809 on my meteor 75 pro. Much better than the gemfan 45mm. But you have to drill the last bit of the props through, to push them on. Make sure to gently drill it out by hand. So awesome performing props.
Nice review and smooth flying Moe!. I built this rig with 0802 25kk motors and bi blades, was a bit slidey and underpowered. I went back to tri blades and 1102 22kk, feels better. Im yet to try 1002 , perhaps it will be the sweet spot!
Thank you very much! And thanks for the insight on the 0802s. Did you happen to try it with tri blades? And was it an HD build or analog? I really wanted 0802s to work with an analog build! I will have to make that one next - maybe with Yves v2 frame when it comes out! Thanks again for the info
I had to give up on the fractal75 camera setup. Every landing or crash the camera moved left or right. Finally I used a mobula6 hd canopy. If the front end of the frame had a bigger flat spot for the camera to rest against it might stay straight.
I completely understand as far as your camera issue goes. I will say this frame sandwiches the cam between the ducts so i have not had to adjust it ONCE like i usually do for my F75 analog. Just something to keep in mind but it will still fly great with a standard canopy. I think Callisto has created a TPU mount that pushes the camera far out front specifically for the fractals - check his thingiverse out!
O i didn't even know fractal had a new frame! I will certainly build one in the future! I love my HDZERO goggles 💜 and my fractal 75!!! Do you fly this one on Quicksilver?
Yes this one is relatively new! I think another version will be coming in the future with maybe a more pushed forward camera mount. I fly all of my setups on Betaflight but I know a lot of people prefer QS, especially on the fractals! Im sure it will also work well!
Well I don't feel bad about my workspace being full of crap now lol. Looks like a fun build. I myself don't mind a heavier drone, it almost feels like drifting, only in the air. Still learning how to fling em over houses better, getting there. Thanks for sharing, gives me even more ideas, RIP wallet/CCard lol
Amino! Thanks man - and yeah my desk it getting out of control LOL let me know what you end up building? i need to take a little break before i go BANKRUPT
Thanks for the kind words, man ! And yes, you need at least one whoop in your fleet! They are a lot of fun, and like the toothpicks, you can fly them anywhere!
Thank you very much! X12 is just really convenient, being a 5 in 1 and a nice strong 400mw VTX. If we were to build this out on analog and smaller motors it should be lighter than the meteor 75 pro since the 75P uses the same heavy 1102s. Thanks for dropping by!
You can absolutely use a square AIO such as the x12 - I just built with a cross as i didnt need the internal VTX otherwise i would have definitely used an x12
I thought about getting into more detail but, outside of the component list, really it was just the soldering of the 4 wires of the Whoop Lite board. I thought insight as to the components would be all that anyone would want to know, to be honest
Im curious, not really how you solder them, but more how you delt with mounting them. I want to build a walksnail F75 and havent really decided if the snail board should go on top of the FC, under it, or on the opposite side of the PCB. and did you need to use your own hardware, or was the hardware in the Fractal kit adequate. BUT, that said, I am a sucker for some good solder porn.
@@Mupshot ahh gotcha - I can say that we’ll have to put the HD boards on the bottom of the frame if we’re dealing with the typical 1s 4 in 1s with motor plugs. The plugs will either run into the carbon fiber frame or will have to be elevated with spacers for clearance, but it would way too high. You might be able to mount an fc with solder pads for the motors if the USB port is in a good place, but it would still have to be elevated higher than we would like to make sure it doesn’t stick out of the bottom of the frame. I actually did use my own hardware although I bought the hardware kit from fractal as the screws are usually the hardest things to get a hold of in my opinion, but you can use any grommets you have. Feel free to message me a Discord if you’re going to build one and I can help out ! Walksnail might be a good choice , but I always seem to get vibration in my cam when I put them on WHOOPS
is the goggle view in 1080p? or just the onboard dvr? pretty cool build! i bought some 1202.5 to make a 1s toothpick out of my mob7 :D but i love my mob 7 too so im thinking of buying another fc and camera buuut this will blow the budget... i hate fpv! xD
In the most recent HDZ update, the picture in the goggles in 1080p - I am least 90% sure. BUT its not very noticeable over the 720p mode. And i know the feeling man - everything is so expensive! Just save for a bit and get another FC - the mob 7 is a great whoop as is but i know the feeling of wanting a nice toothpick, too !
i watched the hd zero website and the max resolution is 960p for their cameras, but the vrx can output 1080p so i think a new 1080p camera will come soon :D @@MoeFPV
HMM not sure about this - i though the current cams, nano V2 and the nano lite, could produce 1080p footage. I know the Nano 90 camera is limited to 960 though. maybe that is what you are referring to?
Great video brother. I have all my stuff arrive tomorrow for my build and it just so happens to be what you suggest. X12, rcinpower 27kv 802 and for the cam I’m going with the ant lite. I don’t think for us micro analog guys it gets much better than that and ever since I put the rcinpower 27’s on my 75 whoop I’ve loved them as equally as my 65 with 30kv. Again great video man!
I cant remember if i said it in the video or not but my best flying 75 analog whoop is on the rcinpower 0802 25k. They are super durable for me and so smooth. Let me know how that build turns out - i am very interested to hear because i am definitely going to build another one of these with pretty much your same specs
