Gosh this video was so fricking helpful! I think every pair of sunglasses I’ve ever had has had this problem... by the time they are shipped to the store, salespeople touch them, customers touch them, they are the most crooked things ever! Thank you!!!!!!!
i can't believe how long I was stuck on this. i kept trying to adjust the earpieces (toward the back) to fix the crookedness, it helped a little bit, but the major shift was the temples. my pair of glasses is both metal and plastic and the hinge is screwed onto the plastic part. so i had to heat up my frames (with warm water) toward the edge of the lens where my metal hinge meets the plastic part and it worked perfectly. finally!!!

I find this video helpful. But I wish he showed us in a slow motion, under a clear light what exactly he's doing. I mean I kind of get it, but the adjustment is subtle, therefore it's necessary. On the other hand, the above person is right to say that the frames should have been heated. Whenever you go for adjustments at an optician, they'll heat the frame first---and you don't want anyone to think that it's okay to adjust without heating. But in any case, the video is very helpful!!! Thanks, Cj Thomason.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! One of my ears sits way lower than the other and it drives me nuts that my sunglasses are always lopsided. You can see one full eyebrow above my frames on one side but not the other. I just did this with my cheap gas station sunglasses and it worked!!!! AMAZING! You are awesome.

you just SAVED ME from repurchasing a pair of vintage Wildfox Bel Air sunglasses that sat crooked!!! They are refurbished vintage and beautiful, but sat crooked on my face.. I just fixed my crooked glasses. I thought my ear was crooked which it is. so I was wearing like this for years...but when I did what this man did. it straightens my glasses and now it looks straight! omg, thank you! I didn't have to go to glasses place.

Oh my god thank you so much for this video. My new glasses got crooked by accident and even the repair guy couldn't completely fix that. Turns out, the issue was with the hinge part. I have cylindrical lenses so was also worried about ruining my eyesight. Thanks a ton!!!
Your technique is correct except for one crucial thing...the "four-point test" should be performed with the frame upside down on a flat surface due to the fact that the curvature of the temple tips will not always be symmetrical (and don't need to be). This is a common mistake a lot of people make. Source: Licensed optician

Dude thank you, I recently snapped the frame around the lens on my glasses and I had to swap to my second pair which I never used because they would always look crooked on my face, I figured it was because one of my ears was higher than the other. But I just watched the video and put them on the table and noticed the temple is way higher on one side than the other, did the fix you just did and they look perfect on me now. Thanks a lot!

You're placing them upside down if you're trying to check the true level adjustment of the glasses. You put them temple down, not temple tip down. The temple tip doesn't actually sit anywhere on the head effecting the level of the glasses, the curve sits on the ear which determines how level they are.

Thank you so much 🙏 🙏🙏 I have one ear that is lower than the other and I have been struggling with lopsided glasses and sunglasses all my life. Now I know how to adjust my frames to compensate for that!! The only thing I will add to this is that if you have plastic frames like I do, use a hairdryer to heat up the area you will be adjusting - about 30-60 seconds of concentrated hot air should work. Try to avoid blasting the air on the lenses themselves...I think it could hurt any coating (e.g. anti-reflective) you may have on them.
