30 cm is 12 inches. 16 inches is 40cm 18 inches is 45cm Great vid, now I want a bendir. I’ve seen the percussionist Eric La Perna play an ordinary tambourine this way. Of course; why not? And he works wonders with it.
You can make any frame drum into a Moroccan Bendir . Take some 25 lb. fishing line , two pieces of duck tape 3/4 " by 3 1/2 " . Cut two pieces of the fishing line for a 16" drum about 40" long , this will make two strings when you fold it in half, make two of these . On one piece of tape stick the two loop ends on spacing them 1/4" to 3/8 " or so apart . Adhere this onto the inside edge of the drum head itself close to the edge ,stretch the strings out carefully so they are all at the same tension . Stick this down keeping it all pretty tight but not to tight . Leave the excess string so you can tighten the strings later There you go you now have a Moroccan Bendir ! I========I it should look something like this . You can use 2 , 3, or 4 strings . Enjoy
My right hand thumb tends to slide up along the frame as I play. Is it only lack of practice or is there any tip to solve it? Thanks for the video, it's great!

I tried resetting log in info by giving my email address to reset, it said it recognize my email address. Help😣

Hi! Can you make the the video on how to reggae groove on either congas, bongos, cajons, or any other percussions? Reggae grooves like Bob Marley's songs are a lot of 16th and shuffles, and I would like to have a better grooving on that style of music. Thanks.
Sure - I have done basic Reggae grooves for Congas, Bongos, and Cajon that are on my DVDs, Play Congas, Play Cajon, and Kalani's Ultimate Bongo Jam. I'll try to add some here as well. Please consider supporting the channel through patreon.com/kalani. Thank you.
