Category. A category is like a box with,ahhhh, smaller boxes inside. Eventually, after opening enough boxes in boxes, you find things in the box. What I just described is 'going down'. You can also 'go up'. You put things in the same box that belong together. You do this because you want to find them later. There is lots of stuff to keep track of. So you put the boxes with stuff in them in larger boxes----and then the larger boxes into still larger boxes. You can't do this willie-nellie. You need a system. The system is built around deciding Same or Different over each thing and each box. It sounds complicated, but you get the hang of it.
