What a brilliant story! The Season 5 aesthetic is captured perfectly as always, and it's nice to see Mavis as a main character and working somewhere other than the quarry. 'Arry (I assume it's him, given the lack of stubble and that he wasn't named in "Stepney Gets Lost" either) made a great antagonist, perfectly showing how creepy and sleazy he is. As for Thomas, he was great! Successfully giving 'Arry his comeuppance, offering Mavis a chance to take a passenger train, and of course marooning Gordon in the goods yard! XD

That was a superb story. It really did feel like a classic episode. Poor Mavis was stitched up for no reason. Thomas's plan was very clever. The last part with Gordon and the Troublesome Trucks really made me laugh XD XD XD .

A whole episode dedicated to explaining away Mavis's random appearances in the background? Yes please 😊

Referencing the alliance and then setting Gordon up to be trolled by the trucks was Top Tier Humor. The year has barely begun and I almost died laughing!

I couldn't take the story seriously cuz I was laughing at how pissed Gordon was. That ending takes it to a whole other level lol! Great work!

This was an absolutely incredible storyyy!! You captured the magic of the show so well, real season 5 vibes. The characters were on point too! Particularly liked Tomas and Gordan in this X3 Was nice to get a call back to their alliance, with Tomas being cheeky with it haha. Was also a really nice story for mavis too! Excellent work!

This was an absolute blast, man! This felt like a lost season 5 story from start to finish. Never would I expect a range of characters like Thomas, Mavis, 'Arry, and Gordon wrapped up snuggly in one package, but this delivered in every sense of the word. The music was excellent, the cinematography was sharp, and the editing was tight. Oh and that ending was absolutely hilarious. Definitely worth the wait and then some!

Comedic, brilliant and a masterpiece. Follows season 5's format perfectly. The Tiger Moth Project group should remake this for their next project.

Usually, when I see a new video from a RU-vidr I love, I remember to watch it as soon as I have time, in my mind, and forget about it when I run whatever errands. But when I see one of your videos, I am literally left on my toes for the premiere to start - waking up at 6 am to see 'Gordon and the Big City' premiering just minutes after I had to leave on a camping trip was excruciating! This is no different - I have the right mind to wake up at 7 am just to watch this. You have always taken Trainz content one step further, and your attention to detail shows significantly throughout every shot you produce! Extremely hyped to see this!

Genuinely this is now up there in my top three favorite fan stories. This feels so natural and perfect for Season 5, especially when Thomas and Mavis were chatting at sunset! The lighting there was perfect. This also beautifully shows the major character growth for Thomas by Season 5. This is all around a wonderful story! Amazing work!

Great story, I especially laughed about Gordon having to deal with the trucks in the yard as they continue singing but somehow when arry and Bert were brought in at season 5 can become a bit odd to see who got the punishment for hiding the fuel

Glad to see you back, especially with such a great story! Although I have always loved your breathtaking faithfulness to the Season 1-5 aesthetic, it seems you took a few liberties here and there with this and I am all here for it! There's no doubt that this was very much fitting for Season 5 with the musical score, environments, characters, and even little details like never referring to Arry (Maybe Bert, I couldn't tell to be honest) by name. However, the little bits of comedy in particular felt straight out of something not too dissimilar from the golden years of the CGI era; the ending with Gordon and the trucks has me in stitches! I definitely cannot wait for what more is to come this year, and although it has been a while since your last video, the amount of care and attention you put into them makes the waits all the more worth it!

Terrific story to kick off the New Year! I love all the Season 5 elements such as 'Arry going unnamed and the closeups of Sir Topham Hatt. I like how Thomas continues the alliance he had with Gordon and the humorously disastrous result it caused at the end of the story! I wish we could 've seen Thomas having this level of cunningness in the show.

It would explain all her little background cameos you can spot in that particular era. The story was brilliant and I love Mavis' back chat to whichever of the Iron Twins she was interacting with. OhohoHO, the king is *BACK,* baybeh! The Lord of replicating the Classic Series feel in Trainz! Seriously, there must be an insane time-consuming amount of stuff to set up just to recreate the feel to make us feel 100% at home. It's truly admirable to see somebody go through all the trouble to get pretty much every subtle detail nailed down to a T. Can't wait, mate!

Man, the sets and visuals are great ! I absolutely love the smoke effects. It looks realistic. This feels right at home with a season 5 episode, but added with it's own flavor to stand out :)

Ok, this one was funny and acceptably very good! I'm glad The Fat Controller caught Arry in the act (he shouldn't have hidden those wagons and framed Mavis in the first place) and made up for his mistake earlier. Arry couldn't be able to explain why he did such a thing. He ain't the type to, it seems. And that ending was truly funny, especially with that tune by the Trucks to the tune of 'Monday Morning' and 'Silly Old Gordon'! Both Gordon and Arry got what served them right!

0:30 not a mile second in after the intro and my god this is gorgeous S5 visuals. Mavis’s S5 theme here made me happy cry as well. You also are starting to sound like Micheal Angelis a little bit and that is definitely icing on the cake

Great story. Thomas' cunningness here is nicely done. Feels like he's grown street smart and knows how to deal with bullies or big engines. The Gordon scene at the end was priceless.

Great work on this ‘like a Season 5’ type of episode. It definitely leans more toward humor than the darker sides of the season but it works wonderfully. I especially appreciate the Mitton-like angles and timings. Good choice on keeping Iron ‘Arry’s name anonymous still, fits the season and what little we knew of the character at the time.

This episode is simply fantastic, almost like it was pulled straight out of Season 5! The plot was straightforward, the portrayal of Mavis, Diesel/Arry and Thomas are all in character, and that last scene with Gordon, GENIUS!

What an excellent story, usually there’s always one thing off with fan made videos, either voices sounding off, or the graphics being funky, but there are better than the early CG seasons of Thomas, if not all of them, and the story is the equal to the fourth and fifth season if not better, and the voice acting is better than even Alec Baldwins voiced over
