I am SO glad I found this page today. We are a retired Army family who has a German china cabinet and on one of our moves the movers took the doors off of the cabinet and yes, you guessed it. They lost them. I am so looking forward to trying this! Thank you SO much!
I have watched several videos but only yours told (and showed) me that the pivot hinges are held by suspension and not because you have to drill holes, which is not an option in my project. Life is so much easier now! Thanks a million :)

Can I glue piano hinges to my glass panel? I'm trying to convert an aquarium to have hinged doors. Each panel for a door will be approx 20x20" and 1/4" thick so the hinge would have to support a weight of around 9 lbs. Given I am modifying an aquarium I don't have any holes to fasten the hinge into, esp since I don't intend on drilling into the glass. Is this possible to do? To glue piano hinges to the door and aquarium and they will support this weight? Which hinges and which glue should I use to do this if it can be done? I'd very much appreciate the input
Cabinets can display anything. Nobody but nobody addresses the issue of shop dust covering the French cleat items. Cabinets with sliding doors will solve the problem. No back to cabinet. Hang French cleat items in cabinet frame. Use lexan panel for visibility. Your thoughts. Better yet build one and make the video!!!! Thx Bruce. Cleats and Cabinets ( sort of like root beer and ice !)
We had a glass company install glass doors on our entertainment center. The glass has a warped look/feel where the doors come together. What is causing that? Do I need a thicker glass? Do I need to adjust the hinges? Do I need a hinge in the center?

I have an old 1950s tv cabinet with frameless leaded sliding glass doors, I painted the cabinet and the wood rails and now the glass doors don't slide anymore. How can I fix this problem? There is not a lot of space to add to the wood rails.

If your project will see exterior use I suggest using a water resistant adhesive and finish with products that are specifically designed for exterior use, such as deck sealer.
