Watching one of these videos isn’t going to change my life, but it does have a vaguely deep set value from watching you guys interact, the general consciousness of your conversation introduces a reality of what it means to be a billionaire or how to accumulate substantial resources by strategically providing value and finding value over time… It is appreciated.
All 3 of you are an inspiration. I feel this is only the tip of the iceberg of the experiences and lessons that Dharmesh has to share with the world. Really meaningful to those like me who are at square one. I will build off the shoulders of these giants, I can do it.
I didn’t like the name when I first saw it but when I clicked into the first pod I liked you guys. 99% of people don’t own multiple domain names + have multiple tabs open. The ones that do are potential subscribers to MFM. 75million subscribers incoming!
WOW, incredible podcast session here with Dharmesh. I've been listening to these for the last few months and really appreciate the honesty and vulnerability you get your guests to authentically share. Their insights and ideas are invaluable and as you'd mentioned there are TONS of them they seemingly bull through that can be unpacked. Thanks for continuing to add value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem!
Best MFM episode ever. The bar for great MFM episodes has been raised with this interview. Thank you @dharmesh for being so transparent. Love the chapter breaks in the video. Transcripts next?
Boy, that hourly rate of not returning the blender!! or not returning the call while seeing the TV and incurring the late fee!! Sam I am so much like you - I am totally with you when you say you do not like to waste.
My First Million delivers the most powerful, direct, most relevant and practical success tips, especially for those involved with technology and entrepreneurship. - Corey Chambers, Founder Entar
I thought this would be a "joke account" but my gut told me to click the pic. Now subscribed to your channel, and I am amazed you ont have as much subscribers as net worth! Now I have to find out what awesome work your wife does. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
The name is still awesome, I can’t believe you guys think it’s lame… most people will never make their “first million,” and so it is a huge aspiration for most. If you think it’s becoming a caricature, I can understand that… don’t let the name restrict your evolution however. I feel like if you rename, you’ll want to rebrand based on your personalities, and that’s ok! I love this content, I’m listening to it all day, wish I could thank you guys!!
Love the energy. Love your nerdyness, frankness. You sometimes drift into the startups on the side etc. A lot of fun. Trends, great. I would love to listen to the early stages at growth on how Hubspot or you others prioritized the planning of how many FTEs versus result, speedwise vs funding and how often you changed plans, etc etc. In essence, am I able to minimize my european growth forward by learning from you. This could mega cool. Example, did you do like dropbox and used a growth hacking system to decide what to prioritize? Did you sometimes think to grow for profit and not scale or was it blitzscale? Or does the website grader etc which were tools to make you realize you need Hubspot, a strategy or did you have enough liquidity to simply try different things. am imagening you must have had thousands of discussions and would just be great not to have to think it all out oneself.
Did I hear this correctly? "Good ideas are dangerous. Because what you want to find are great ideas. And you DON'T need to find them before you start the company" If so, maybe it's okay to start with a good idea and then try to find the great idea during the process?
you want to find a great idea always. Sometimes you think what you have is a great idea, but you realize part way into it that it's not so great.. and so you should be ready to pivot to a better idea!
@@shaanpuri5111 You nailed it. The goal is to always have a great idea -- but it's hard/impossible to tell when you've got one. Best to start with the best idea you have, and then iterate from there.
Mayber after the first 25min mark Sam & Shaan should actively focus on talking less and let the guest speak more. Its been a continuing theme that the top questions dont get asked, but I hope at that 25min mark the guest will feel more comfortable in speaking more while Sam & Shaan just ask the questions we all want to hear about.
You can change the pod's name. I would assume people don't click because of My First Million. They click because of you guys and the familiarity of the thumbnail. It is difficult but important not to fall to momentum, Always be able to do a 180 if it's better for the pod.
Guys the 2 person interview doesn't work. 1 person has to be the host..you guys step over each other because you are both brilliant guys with different ideas...its getting worse. Especially when your both excited about the guest. 1 host 1 cohost.
Dharmesh. I see you have been answering questions. Please can you complete your Quant equation thought and how to score it. I have started writing personal projects and this kind of metric will help everyone to judge my next ideas and score them relatively.
