I am new to DP and have a few ready for framing. I've watched so many videos on framing and this is the ONLY one that speaks to me. You matted your DP in a way that makes sense without having to fuss with getting the correct mat size. The problem for me was the DP'ings themselves are seldom the size indicated. I was toying with the idea of having them matted and framed professionally but was concerned that in the process there may be loss of drills. That also can become very expensive to do if you do a lot of these ...like we do. I can buy my poster boards in many colors from Amazon and even find some pretty nice frames. Thank you for doing this. It was literally the answer to my prayers as I have one ready to give my sister as a house warming gift. Be blessed and keep the videos coming...I'll be watching them all.
I hope you were able to get them framed with no problem!! I love doing things the easy way, so I buy all different types and colors of poster boards!! I am so glad this video helped you out - I look for easy, inexpensive ways whenever I can! Thanks for watching 😊
This is so simple🤩. I usually struggle for hours trying to frame my DP, and can never find a frame that fits it perfectly. I can't believe the solution was this simple🥰......thankyou so much😁.
I am so thankful I found this video. I was planning to go to a local craft shop and have mine framed for a small fortune. But now I have the perfect alternate choice. Thank you for you video.
Thank you. I have been looking around for how to do this framing. Your method is so practical and simple, I love it. Now I have a method I can afford to follow.
I did a buck picture , sort of autumn colors, and framed it in black. Then I used thin skor tape around the edge of the painting on the black then burnished gold flakes on the tape. It really added to the picture. Silver would look nice on the blue color you used.
I love your cottage scene and your framing idea was simply GENIUS! I can't wait to see your other ideas bcuz I'm one of those avid DP'ers with lots of them lying around needing a framing idea. 🥰🥰😆😆
Thank you!!! You can do lots of different things to frame you DPs, but this is my favorite one! Some of my diamond paintings I put in a spiral-bound portfolio I bought on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B000RORJV2?ref=exp_gbmaltese_dp_vv_d 🥰😊💖
What a great way to display your Diamond Painting! This is definitely the way to go. By the way, I love the rolling pin tip, to set the diamonds! Thank you for your video.
It is a gorgeous picture and love the blue framing around it. I love the color blue it is my favorite color. I am so happy to see a video again because you haven't been doing to many. I miss hearing your voice, your humour and laughter plus seeing you. I hope to see a lot more video's of diamond paintings. Take care my dear sweet friend. Sincerely Angie Schulte of Hector Minnesota.
Thank you so much Angie!! Blue is my favorite color too 😊 I am planning on a "DP with me" real soon!! I have things to share!! 😊 Thank you so much for your sweet words - they really make my day 💖💖 Take care my dear friend!!
I’m a first time diamond painter and enjoy working with them. However I was very nervous about framing the project. It’s going to be a present for my oldest granddaughter and want it to look nice. This video helped ease my worry; thank you 😊
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I have a diamond painting which is a photo of our beloved dog who passed away and I had no idea how to finish it.
You are so welcome!! This is such an easy way to frame them and doesn't cost a fortune!! I know that your diamond painting means a lot to you - our pets are family!!
I get my frames from at the yard sales or salvation army thrifty store. And I do the same thing that you do. And also sometimes I get white poster board and I painted the white boarder best match my diamond painting thats only time if I can't find the color I need .And sometime I use canvas put my diamond painting on and frames that way I make sure the canvas fits in the frame..
Awesome! I have 2 now that need framing. Great idea! Really could use any color backing as a "mat". (PS. I have the same box as the top one in your background! 💛)
Yes!! You can use any color that makes you happy 😊 This is so easy and inexpensive - saves money so you can buy more diamond paintings!! I love those boxes!!
No, I didn't seal it with anything, and it is still in perfect condition today! When I frame my diamond paintings, I don't seal them. I have several that have been framed for at least 4 years, and no drills have fallen off.
TY this was the easiest way ever. But we measured and got it perfect, I held it in place while holding up the bottom end of the art. My husband slipped the first double sided tape in. Pressed it down then it was easy to add more tape. just a suggestion. :) Would post pic but no option to do so.
So helpful ,you can't imagine! I just finished my first diamond painting, when trimmed, it needs a border to go in frame, but they do not sell 9.5X 13.5 border anywhere. I nearly gave up on ever framing it. Yours is gorgeous! Thank you for providing this easy way of framing diamond paintings.🙂🙂🙂
I have finished 3 so far and was wondering how I was going to frame them. My canveses are odd sized so using the poster board is great. I'm glad I went back and watched your video again. Thanks so much.
I have the same problem. My picture is an odd size and I was wondering how to frame it. This was extremely helpful and it came out so pretty too. I'm almost done with my first painting which is a nighttime lake scene, in blues, blacks and purples, which I plan to hang jn my bathroom. Wish me luck!
This is very nice. As much time as you spend making the picture, I would hate to stick it in a drawer, etc., when done. Love the poster board border. Thanks for this easy tutorial.
Great choice of frame! The blue mat really sets it off! I bet if people look around their homes they might find an unwanted picture but a usable frame😄 If not, thrift store here we come lol Thx for yr fun, entertaining and enthusiastic videos.I always enjoy the info!😄
Thank you!! You are so right about finding frames in different places!! You can get them very inexpensively and do it yourself - sure does save money!! Thank you so much for your kind words!! 💖💖
@@patriceseheult4554 If I frame my diamond painting, I don't seal it with anything. I have DPs that I framed a 1 1/2 ago, and they are in perfect condition. They are protected from air and dust when they are framed. I do seal key chains, notebooks and things like that with either Liquitex, Triple Thick or UV resin.
Lovely picture and I love listening to you make your presentations. God Bless you and your family. By the way, I started using the Glue Dots instead of mud. Simply incredible! Thank you for the extraordinary tip. I’ve started purchasing journals also. They are fast, easy and will make very nice gifts. Dede
If I frame my paintings, I don't seal them. The frame helps keep the drills from getting dust on them and keeps the air out, which should keep them from drying out. I've had some framed for over 1 1/2 years, and they are is perfect condition.
Thank you :) I'm half-way finished my first round-diamond picture of a siberian husky puppy - as a christmas gift for a friend. I was wondering how I could save its quality and sparkle. I didnt like the ideas of the paint-on finishes some promote - as the shine has said to be lost - by many people. Putting it behind glass is the perfect solution for my friend as they have a busy life - too busy to dust out between all the diamonds all the time. Thank you for showing this inexpensive solution. Have an awesome day :)
I agree with you!! I would much rather put my diamond painting in a frame than put a sealer on them - I really don't want to lose that special shine. I also don't want to spend a lot of money, so I think this is a really easy and inexpensive way to frame your paintings!! I'm with you on the dusting too - there is not enough time to go around trying to dust all those drills. Have a great week!! 💖💐😊
I started my first Diamond Art Picture yesterday and was wondering about framing the pictures so I can hang them after they are complete. Great Tips. Well done
@@gbmaltese My older sisters are doing them and they showed me how to do it and I my first picture is a Koala and her joey as I'm an Aussie.. I wanted an Australian theme.
